Hi there!
Im on LinuxDX V04 and GingerDX V017, the reason im making a thread it's because i asked this thing like 3 times on GingerDX post, and no one responses.
The thing is i turn off my phone, and when i plug it to the charger, instead of staying off and showing the batt percentage, it turns on and boots, and i cant leave my phone turned on like forever.
And another issue is that im getting some serious boot problems, i boot the phone, and when it displays the GingerDX bootanimation, it stays forever, i can even touch where the button to unlock is, and the phone vibrates when i put my finger on it, so, the gingerDX animation, stays forever, i can reboot my phone and everything and it happens again.
I already did a backup, and cleared dalvik cache, battery stats, full wipe, and restore the backup and everything but still happens.
Goodbye!
i think u brick your phone
Try SEUS and reinstall again. Good Luck

Its easier to use flashtool when phone doesnt boot.

if you are using titanium backup, do not restore any system data from your previous rom except for contacts, media, phone, sms storage. I was having major issues when I flashed GDX from FB and this solved my GDX reboot issues. Now it is pretty stable.
Im not using titanium backup, never used it.
What do you recommend me to do? to flash stock kernel and use GDX normally? Without LinuxDX
Goodbye!

That would be a fair good test to do. and remove the boot animation from the phone. And you will only see the android stock animation.

2. i do a factory reset (i get: no app2sd partition found. skipping format of /sd-ext)
3. i flash gingerdx021
4. i flash chargemon+volds update
is any1 facing the same issue?

Do you have your device overclocked?
even with 600mhz or 729 or 748 still no difference
use search and you'll find a lot about this problem
sadly, it's a common thing for us X8 users.
I personally have random reboots since stock kernel and ROM.
The only time I think I didn't have (unless overclocked or something) is with GDX v020 and Alfs kernel v05, but I can't be sure if it's because of them or lucky coincidence.
with Gdx v022 and alfs v06 I already had a few reboots.
There are some suspicions on battery in this case but it's probably just a suspicion.
I have surrendered finding a reason for this reboots, as long as it boots each time I have to live with it.
This used to happen to me. But when I flashed alfskernel my phone stoped rebooting randomly. Hope it helps

Yeah I also get totally random reboots sometimes, either when I'm using it or leave it idle, suddenly it reboots and show freexperia splash screen :/

i think i figured out why i have random reboots. i will test it to be 100% certain and post it here
still got them, doesnt matter what kernel or rom (except SEMC+2.1)
what do you guys suggest?
if i flash semc+2.1 using SEUS and then naa-10+CM or alfs+gingerx would solve the problem or it's useless?
Hey there.
Okay, bevor a few days, i was with my i9000 on Dakry´s ROM 11.0 Black Edition. But this was very buggy and many things didnt worked.
So i heard from the MIUI ROM, watched some Pics etc. and it looked really beautiful, so i installed it.
How i installed MIUI 2.8.17 on Darky´s ROM:
1. I downloaded the ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1548796 and put it into internal SDcard
2. I went into recovery, and followed these steps: "do all wipe (wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partiotion, wipe dalvikcacke)"
3. "Go on install zip from sdcard, Select the zip and install" (So, after this step it freezes on the Semaphore logo, without installing anything, after about 20mins waiting, i tryed to go into recovery again, but it didnt worked, so i pulled the battery out. After i pulled it in, i went into recovery again, and go on installing zip from sdcard, now its installing succesfully.)
4. "Reboot and wait a few minutes, reboot, You have finished"
Well, now im on MIUI 2.8.17. Its just so awesome beautiful, i really love it, but now i get many FCs.
e.g. sometimes the sms App FC, and Camera or Gallery, and now i´ve installed the Mishout APP (Shoutbox from MIUI Germany forum), but this is allways Forceclosing
And if i try to charge my phone while its turned off, there is no more Loading animation, just black screen like the phone is still off, but the charger is plugged in.
Did i´ve made something wrong while installing this?
And sorry for my bad english, its not the best, but i hope someone understand me and can help me :crying:
Thanks
Hey there, i would suggest flashing back to stock via odin, root again and flash
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
Hey, thanks for your reply.
Okay, i flashed back to stock rom, cleaned evertything up (formated internel usb storage and external sdcard).. Installed root and CWM, and flashed again MIUI. Till now i got no more FCs, thats good, but theres still no charge animation (while phone is off), maybe its a bug from miui but i havent read about this anywhere.
try this, its easier and no need to wipe data: go into cmw, and advanced and then fix permissions

Reinstall like the 1st time, do all wipes + formats then flash.
Is the phone looping ? Meaning on the glowing samsung logo, It vibrates then restarts the animation over and over again ?
Also, how long has it been like this ? Have you left the phone to charge for around 30mins before trying to power on ?
Im certain its nothing serious as you can still get into recovery and its still attempting to boot, So maybe its ROM / Kernel related.
EDIT: I just noticed you said its stuck on the Galaxy Note screen, not the boot animation... Have you by any chance just flashed philz kernel ? I had this issue the other day and I could only get it to boot by doing a full reset
BUT....... If recovery is working, Make a nandroid backup, reset the phone, then restore the apps from the nandroid using titanium backup. That way you wont lose any apps that you have installed since your last backup.

Well your contacts will be backed up with google but im pretty sure a nandroid will back them up too, including sms's
Titanium will only restore apps from a nandroid, if you want to restore other things, try this app
What is disturbing is this just happened to me as well. My battery also ran down while using an xxLSA based ROM and won't boot past the "Samsung Galaxy Note" logo. Fully charging my phone so I can do a reinstall.
edit: Just confirming that Factory Reset fixes the problem. All my data is backed up so I went for it.

yes factory reset solved the problem for me
but now back to 4.0.4
Just to make another confirmation: This happened to me running an lsa based rom also.
Same here. LSA based Rom. Happened 2nd time already. So annoying.

Me too. I tried at least 4 times to get v5 installed. It works fine until I try to install any app such as Titanium. Then it gets stuck at the first Samsung .. screen on the next reboot.
It's really p****ng me off. There must be a hell of a bug in this ROM.
This is the result of hurry. Let the developer test the firmware first. Not everything is flashable let the devs make a sacrifice first then on his recommendation install the FW

Hey all, hopefully someone can help me out. Ill post the full story and the tl;dr version at the end.
So, my Xperia TL (LT30at) has been rooted for over a year and a half. Since i rooted it it never charged when turned off. I did research and couldnt figure out why, so i left it and have lived with it for the last year and a half. However, i just updated my phone to JB 4.3 by Dark Lord (Ultimate Pure XT ROM) so the model number is actually Xperia T (LT30) Anyways, the phone dies a lot quicker than before so the other day it died and because it wont charge when it is off i usually wrap a rubber band over the power button so itll charge enough to turn on and then charge by itself after that. However, it would only charge enough this time to boot, but then turn right back off. I did this for well over a day and got sick of it not working so i tried messing with things. In the process, I was in recovery (it was philz cwm or something like that, by the way im quite a noob when it comes to all of this, hence why im having problems) and i flashed the xposed disabler zip, thinking it would get rid of cwm because i didnt know what I was doing. It did end up getting the phone to turn on, and its charging great. However, the system UI crashes, and the "unfortunately the system UI has stopped working" pops up repeatedly so you cannot physically do anything on the phone. I tried going back into recovery to flash my backup to fix everything, but it was downgraded back to an older version of cwm, the version i origonally had on it before the 4.3 update. its like 6.0.3 or something, by david marcos or something. Anyway, itll go into recover but a bunch of error messages come up, like unknown volume path, no etc/recover.fstab, stuff like this. There is no way to flash any recoveries because it basically says it cannot find the paths. It will not backup, restore, wipe anything, flash from sideload, nothing. Ive tried all i can think of. Basically cwm comes on but i cant use it for anything. Instead i tried reinstalling cwm to try to fix it, but when i do it says "system cannot find path specified" so it wont download.
tl;dr version, cwm wont work at all after flashing xposed-disabler.zip. i cannot flash any recoveries or install anything through the usb. What do i need to do to fix this? because the system ui keeps crashing my phone is basically useless. thanks for dealing with a numskull..thanks in advance.
You can flash a stock rom with kernel using flash tool and then flash recovery and restore your backup.

why i didn't think of that, i dont know.
This worked as far as getting the phone to boot and whatnot, however the phone died and because it doesnt charge when it is off, i cant turn it on. it will boot and itll get all the way to the home screen but it immediately shuts back down, even though it is plugged in. Is there any way to fix this charging bug? i did some research and found it is linked to cwm, however now that i flashed the stock rom i no longer have cwm on the phone, so why does it still not charge when off? Thanks for the help by the way..
I'll tell you what happened yesterday... I restored a June backup (which I took when I sent my C9603 to be repaired abroad) in recovery mode after taking a new one with Philz Touch CWM. In both Roms I have LP 5.0.2 (14.5.A.0.270). So when I wanted to restore the latest backup I noticed I couldn't enter CWM but just TWRP, so that got me quite mad... Anyway I tried reinstalling the Dualrecovery but still one of them worked while the other one didn't. What I did then is definitely whe worst thing I could have thought of: I wiped EVERYTHING (except for the external SD) in recovery to try and flash a clean rom with flashtool, but since I shut down the phone after wiping it has only been able to turn on and show sony xperia logo, and I can't make it work with flashtool!
Somebody help, please
I have gotten a pretty much the same case as you (wiping all the storages). I used flashtool to get back to stock. Did you ever use flashtool? Because I remember when I was trying,it did not work because I went to recovery before they tell me to. xD
