[Q] nexus one not detected by PC, not even as storage... - Nexus One Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Rooted the N1 couple of months ago, was running MIUI and everything was perfect...until I got a new a phone (HTC inspire) and wanted to sell my N1 so I took my original 16GB out and blindly went about clearing data, wiping cache and other stuff on recovery mode. yes, a rookie mistake of doing things without reading about them first...
and on the other hand, I downloaded the PASSIMG.zip on a new 8GB sd card while it was plugged in through another phone and took that 8gb sd card and put it in my N1. I followed the wikiN1 instructions and was able to get to a stock FRG83, android version 2.2.1 etc...
my problem now is that my N1 is not being detected by the PC, not even as a storage. I know the problem is with N1, not the sd card because if i use the same sd card through other phone, it is detected and everything is fine.
thanks
p.s. Yes, i tried multiple PCs and cables and etc.

Either try passimg again or try and update the N1 to 2.3.4 at least then see if it's the same problem.

[Q] SIM card - GONE???

Did a one touch root, worked great. Did a SuperRooterExtreme to get rid of the AT&T crap mainly, applied the LAG fix and subsequently lost my market access to the applications I needed.
Farted around trying to recover from that, finally gave up and started downloading the one touch recovery to stock when I noticed that my phone was in flight mode.
Basically it isn't seeing my SIM card at all. I've tried rebooting with it out as well as the External SD card, yanking the battery, the SIM card, reinserting the SIM card after powering up, etc. nothing.
Hoping that the flash to stock fixes it, but any thoughts in the mean time? On SLOOOOW download for the next hour...
IS it put in correctly?
It's possible to put the SIM card in backwards. Check that it isn't.
Im having the EXACT same problem. Any luck yet?
I got it working. I messed with MarketAccess and rebooted and got it to work.
EDIT: Had the same problem again. Flashing to H3 did the trick.

[Q] need some help with registering and wifi

I bought a used nookcolor......seems liked it has never been registered or has been wiped,i have been trying to get it off 1.2 but Wifi will not connect and cant do anything..tried side loading books but cant open to see my account(no wifi) have done 2 facorty resets(8 power buttons and power button home button) but is still on 1.2 which is the issue i think....anything i can do with sd card.which is formated with cwm ...afraid to root....can i run anything off sd card and leave nook software alone..thanks also i live 50 miles from a B&N store .....thanks to all for the help...got froyo on sdcard now...got the ideal on what fo do..lol..need new card for cyan 7....
If you want to re-flash back to the stock 1.0.1 firmware, you can find very helpful information (and the firmware images) here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914690
Or you can install CyanogenMod on the SD card and just run that, bypassing the Nook software altogether.
It's also possible you have a 2011 model, so doing the wipe, unregister, restore to factory methods will just set you back to 2.1 as that comes stock on the 2011 models. In that case you will have to use your cwm sd card to flash an earlier rom in order to get back to one. Use the link skunkeye provided, it's not difficult.
This may or may not fix whatever's wrong w/ the wifi. Could be dead hardware. The seller you bought from represented it as working w/ no problems?

13.03 mb left?

Hey guys,
I have installed a new 32gb sd card a few months back, and it worked perfectly, but yesterday, it suddenly restarted (had this problem a lot with my old 32gb, but not once before with the new one) and it said storage card not working. so i restarted, hoping that everything would be okay, just as with my previous 32gb. but no dice, the message kept coming up.
So i gave in, and reset, but as soon as i got to the configuration menu, it said low memory, but i continued, got to settings, about, and it showed 13.03 mb left.
So i tried resetting a few times, didn't help, same problem.
Then i tried flashing a tango rom (had deepshining 7.8 on before) didn't help, same problem.
Then i tried putting in the original sd card and resetting, didn't work, same problem.
Also, it says: "sim card error" altough my simcard is inserted properly.
If anyone can help me with this, that would be great!

unsure if this will help, but i had implemented numerous tweaks in intrinsicROM and was informed that helped with 32GB support.

SD Card keeps corrupting (SM-T810)

Hello -
I'm running Android 6.0.1 on a 10" Tab S2 (SM-T810), rooted Samsung ROM (Build MMB29K.T810XXU2CPD9).
I have this recurring issue where my SD card keeps getting corrupted. I was initially using a SanDisk 128GB Ultra card, worked fine for a long time, but kept getting corrupted in the tablet. After reformatting it would work again for a while, and then would corrupt again. Figured it's maybe a faulty SD card. So I bought a Samsung 128GB Evo card. Have the same problem now. It corrupts from time to time.
I use this tablet very infrequently and usually turn it off when I'm done using it. Most of the time when I turn it back on again the card is corrupted. So I thought I'll stop powering it down and just put it in Airplane mode when I'm done, but leave it on standby otherwise. Nope, still corrupted the SD card again.
I'm suspecting it's maybe a problem with the tablet itself, and not the SD cards I've been using. Any suggestions for how I can fix this? Is it worth trying to install a different ROM? Or is there any other suggestion you guys might have?
Thanks.

I have similar issue with tab s3, and first you could try to disscard any rom issue:
Reflash the 6.0.1 stock rom with odin and root again.
Its an opportunity to upgrade to Nougat, in this case reflash stock rom 6.0.1 with odin (do not root) and upgrade to nougat, afther that you can root.
Come back and report the results to help others with similar problems.
Yeah, flashed a stock Nougat rom I pulled off of SamMobile for the Tab S2. Will see how this holds up over the next few days. So far on a reboot it hasn't corrupted the card.
Thanks.

[GER/ENG] "Revive" I9000 with dead EMMC beyond Android 2.3.7?

Hey guys,
dunno if I have to write english or german here, feel welcomed to answer in your prefered languages. The more opinions, the better!
I used rooted XXJVT (DBT) for a very long time but by time it went laggy AF.
Now I decided not only to reset the phone to make it work lagfree again but also flash Android KitKat via CWM.
The biggest problem I encountered: my eMMC died a few years ago, so I was forced to run the phone via microSD (had to scratch the chip off the mainboard to make it accept the microSD when flashing) and exchange the vold.fstab to make the phone use the microSD as internal storage. That way, it worked again. Until now.
Since the WhatsApp Services don't let any 2.3.7 and older OS verify their Account anymore (but those who were already verified can keep WhatsApp until Feb 2020) + I can't flash Custom Roms via CWM ("Waiting for SD-Card to mount" counting down from 20 to 0, then restart and same screen again, looped) probably because of the dead (no more existent) eMMC Chip, i guess the only way to make my phone work WITH WhatsApp again would be find a rom above 2.3.7 that I can flash via Odin..
Otherwise I guess I can shred my phone because it is restricted to SMS/Calls from now Q_Q
Now I need your help: Is there any possibility that I don't know yet? Any ROM out there that I could flash via Odin, dodging the "flash via CWM" way that doesn't seem to work for me (atleast, since my eMMC is dead, I don't know how could make it go past this "Waiting for SD-Card to mount" ****?
Greetings,
A desperate Android User^^
