Is it possible to get into recovery mode in OB via Homemade JIG form this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551 ? Or it's only work on SGS ? Have someone tried this stuff ?

HI, i just made a TERRIBLE mistake by trying to install Froyo in my i9000b device without having the 3 buttons combo for recovery and download mode available. Now all i can see in the screen is a cell phone, a computer and a exclamation sign in the middle. Is there any way to fix this HUGE problem?? :S

Hey,
I recently got my Captivate bricked, I was hoping to get some help.
Currently there is no display (No download mode, no recovery)
I had it bricked before and I was able to use the Jig method to bring it back to download mode luckily.
However, it got bricked again. I have tried the jig method (3 resistor) and it won't go. So I purchased a pre-build jig and still it won't go into download mode.
Any other options out there by any chance?

I've a Biiiiig Problem with My Phone Samsung GT-I9000T I've started flashing it with Odin but Odine hav'nt Complete the Flash Progress and Just Crashed , after that My Phone Cant Boot into Recovery or Download Mode and it's Bricked , The problem now started out with me not being able to start my phone , Now it look Like that

I have got this image many times on my phone.. you just need to take out the battery.. wait for a few min.. put the battery in and go to download mode.. it should easily go in download mode .. atleast mine does even after showing this image on phone..

Exactly.... i had it myself many times and did the same thing... it always did work for me too!!

i tried to install http://www.androidauthority.com/and...d-value-pack-samsung-galaxy-s-gt-i9000-44229/ via odin but it didnt work. people said try with .pit file but i did something very stupid and downloaded i9100 pit file. i downloaded it to my galaxy s and pulled out the battery. now i cant boot into anything including recovery mod, download mode. when i plug in my phone to computer and pullout battery back computer recognize a devise named "OMAP3630" for a few seconds. what should i do
If not 3 button combo works for download mode, you need a usb jig

i searched for adb but it seems like i need to boot my my phone first to use it. 3 button combo also not workin. could you explain adb mode or send me a link?
Most probably adb wont work.
Tried take out battery ?
Hold vol down and home when you put the battery back in could do it. If not you should get a jig, I got my self a jig just in case...

i tried every combination and pulled battery back dozens of times still no changge :/ i think i should get and usb jig yet they are selling it for 30 dolars here.. thanks for your help

okay thanks mate. i want to ask one more question. i couldnt find anything on the internet about omap3630. on wikipedia it says its i9000's motherboard. why can my pc detects it like this? and can it be a hardware problem?

suggest you try the solutions and tool for getting you into download mode or make/borrow a JIG from My Android Solutions
Hi,
I am sorry to post this topic but i badly need some experts to help me out with this. It would be very grateful if anyone of you could help me.
I have bricked my friend's samsung galaxy s i9000. Now i need to buy a new phone for her incase i dont get this one working.
I have searched on this forum and googled extensively, i tried almost every method on this forum to unbrick except the USB jig, all of them failed.
I have ordered USB jig online, and it is yet to be delivered to me. So that method is yet to be tested.
Meanwhile all i want now is some guidance, so that i could be self assured if what I am doing is right and i need some questions answered.
Please read the following to comprehend the entire problem.
1) The phone has froyo and it was working very slow, and i couldnt boot into download or recovery mode via 3 button combo. (why couldnt i boot into those modes?)
2) I connected the phone to samsung kies, and it said that there is an upgrade available. But the details for the upgrade were blank.
I went ahead and tried upgrading it, and it gave me 403 error. (why did it give null details of the upgrade firmware? and why did i get 403 forbidden access error? )
3) Next i connected to the phone via ADB, and i could successfully boot into download mode.
4) After booting into download mode, i connected it to odin. Then i tried flashing semaphore kernel v2.7.
I gave an error, write operation failed, and the flashing failed. (why did it happen?)
5) Next I couldnt boot the phone at all, I am stuck at the black screen of death aka bsod or the phone-!-computer screen.
6) I tried taking out battery, reinserting and tried severl combination of button to boot as explained at several places here, but none of them works. Neither am i able to connect it to odin, or adb.
WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW? IS IT HARD BRICKED OR SOFT BRICKED?
WHAT SHOULD I DO INCASE I AM ABLE TO BOOT INTO DOWNLOAD MODE USING USB JIG?

Was the phone rooted? I've had problems with rooted apps deleting system files.
