Just wondering, is there a newer nightly that fixes the market DC but? As well as the sap issues.

Actually, it has been fixed since N231
Just updated to N235 and the Market still FC's/
The poster is asking about the market FCs, not the DSP FCs. I have not seen a fix yet and that is stopping me from updating mine. I am still at 201 with no issues.
My latest issue is that YouTube will not play videos unless I uncheck the HQ option at the beginning. I've tried completely wiping out my nook and going back to the latest stable. That didn't work. I'm now on n237 and it still doesn't work. I need a fix for this, help please!
Oh, and I have had market FC twice in the last 2 days after going to n237.

I've been having issues with the XDA app while using Froyo or Honeycomb from the SD card. The application frequently force closes.
Also if I try XDA through the web browser, I can't use the search function. I click search, the drop down dialog box appears, but as soon as I click on it to enter text, it goes away.
Seems I can't really use XDA from either app or browser on Nook with Froyo SD or Honeycomb SD (though both worked with a rooted Eclair).
This expected behavior? Any stability differences if I were to flash Froyo to the internal SD (using a class 6 SD card currently)?
NC XDA force closing
I am having the same issue and I Froyo and Homeycomb flashed it to the internal memory....
I am too... I even paid $.99 for the Premium edition to see if it would fix it.(and because I use this site enough to give back a little)
It always crashes for me whenever I sign in to my account
otherwise it seems fine.
Same here. As long as I don't sign in I'm good. If I sign in the app bombs out.
Ditto everybody
I sign in, open a hearted forum, FC.
CM7 nightly v14.
Using XDA Premium on Nookie Froyo 0.6.8, on the eMMC (Flashable thru CWM).
The FIRST time I opened it, there was a force close.
Since then, not one issue--signed in or out.
Same here. I ended up just getting Tapatalk (which is what XDA app is based on) and it works great with XDA as well as many other forums. No FCs at all.

Is that the paid program which costs about 23hkd? or did I miss something in my market?
I am running CM7 v13 and I get a force close after signing in and clicking on a thread. Droidforums app works great though both built off of tapatalk
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Ok, purchased the Tapatalk app. All is well now.
Bought tapatalk. Everything is fine. it also provides a long list of pop forums to choose from. Furthermore, it turns out that 23 hkd is about 2.8usd which makes it a decent deal.

I don't mind shelling out another buck or two on Tapatalk, but I'd also love it if XDA Premium would work on the NC
Anyone have any suggestions on how to solve the FC?
I've run the Fix Permissions, uninstalled/reinstalled/rebooted etc. No love.
I'm running the emmc CM7 23 nightly with the Dalingrin 3/16 OC, ADW Launcher.
I'm having the same issue with the xda premium app. Works great until I log in and then FC as soon as I try to do anything. It worked fine running 2.1 but I recently upgraded to phiremod 5.1 and that is when the problem began.
I guess there's no solution for this? I'm also getting this error with a few other apps after flashing to 5.1 that were working before.
Still worth the update but frustrating for the few apps that will not work now.
5 dollar bounty for a fix.
Same issue, phiremod 5.1 and latest OC kernel as of 3.16, Soon as i try and open a thread or close the app if i signed on, i get a FC.
Premium app or not, this thread seems like alot of, ME TOO, or USE tapatalk..
i want to use the app i paid for, any dev's have any suggestions?
I will gladly send logcat if needed, i just want XDA app to work on my nook color!
Please... i put a 5 dollar bounty on a fix.
killster
So, just use Tapatalk instead of XDA, or install Tapatalk then run XDA?
Seems to be completely dead after the 1.5.3 update. if I try and use profile, chat, or groups it force closes. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm running cm7 nightly build 41 with intersect

Did you try uninstalling, rebooting, clearing cache and Dalvik, then reinstalling?
Its working fine here on a tweaked stock GB ROM, but it acted weird at first until I rebooted and did those steps.
My push notifications are even working still.
Works fine here, I've not done anything special

Yep, same issue for me, starting today. If you read the market reviews, there's dozens of similar complaints, all dated today.

Ditto for me. Uninstalled and re-installed fixed it. Hope it stays that way.
I have that same problem. I am running on a stock rom 2.2 from kies update. I am rooted but have not flashed a custom rom yet. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a total of 3 times and still have the problem and yes I did do a reboot after I uninstalled before I reinstalled. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I think we just need to wait for them to fix the app, sadly. It doesn't seem to be any issue with the phones or corrupted data - it's something in the app itself. With all the people complaining on the market, I'm betting they'll post an update shortly.
I was checking something with this app before I put my phone down for the evening. When I woke up my battery was dead. Check out the pictures, stay awake 7 hours and it was the biggest drain on my battery.
I'll try the uninstall and reinstall to see if it's any different. Cognition 5 beta 2

Does anyone else have FC issues with the free version of the XDA app on their Xoom? Mine consistantly force closes as soon as I log in to my account. It has also done it a couple of times when switching from landscape to portrait but does it every time I log in. Running stock unrooted 3.2 on a US wifi only with the free version of the app. I have tried uninstalling and reintalling but haven't tried a hard reset yet.

I have the same issue. I have uninstalled it. I am running 3.01.
I used to have this issue. I know there is a specific version that does not FC, ( I know cause I used to have it). I cannot remember what version.
If it helps, the premium version does not FC, and it's only 99 cents

Download the 6.9 apk file
Uninstall Google apps by dragging the icon to the edit (turns to uninstall)
Go to the apk file ( i use es explorer ) and click to install.
NOTE: make sure to remove the auto update apps in the play store to keep it from auto updating Google maps.

Most recent version is 6.14.3 from Feb 20, 2013
This version is still the 'old' style, but the most updated version of it. 6.9.0 was from June 27, 2012, whereas the 6.14.3 build was from February 20, 2013. From the same website you posted just a different link http://www.androiddrawer.com/9559/download-maps-6-14-3-app-apk/
I have 6.14.4 in a Titanium Backup set. That was the last version I got from Google Play before the crap versions hit my phone. I'll try to find somewhere to upload it.

it's not a crappy app =/
the problem it's adreno libs, try to use nokia here.com in the browser and you will see artifacts.. we can't use the new adreno libs because it's needed a new kernel supporting ION memory manager.. actually android 4.2 is running using legacy support for adreno in the kernel, it happened to every phone using adreno 205..

How to prevent MAPS from auto updating
You can prevent Google Maps from updating to the new, crappy version by selecting it in Titanium Backup. When the window opens with Backup! Freeze! Un-instal! showing at the top, swipe to the left to bring up the SPECIAL FEATURES window, and in that window select Detach from Market under the Playstore/Market heading.
Voila. Even if you are set up for auto updates to all your other apps, Google will not auto update your Maps app after you have done this.
I've tried that. Works fine.....
Until you reboot. Then it's re-attached to the Play Store.

Could something else be making it show back up in the updates after a reboot? I always turn off auto update in the play store right after it's loaded on a new rom install.
After I detach from market it won't show in updates, buy shows up again after a reboot.

have you tried turning off update notification?
Not sure how that will help?
Notifications don't include it before the reboot, do after.
And whether or not notifications are enabled, the update shows back up when I go into play store after a reboot.
What I would prefer is a permanent detach, one that survives reboots. Is it possible?
