I installed this version recently and I noticed that there is no multitouch! Before this newest version I was using v013 and multitouch was supported.Any idea why there is no multitouch in latest version? Is it supported in v016?
I install multitouch on GingerDX v17 with x8toolbox beta4
I will try it right now. Thanks.
EDIT: It doesn't work... I get to waiting for device and nothing happens.
GDX need his kernel to support MT or install stock kernel addons.
try ROM] kuyaDROID | v3.2.175 | CM 7.1.0- i really love that room, was using dx 17, but cant use tether, with kuya rom, all works more faster, and i can use tether.

Flash the modules in gingerdx thread. first post.. scroll down until you see where it says "Addons optional".. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188486
There is no need to flash linuxdx.. Just use the modules with stock kernel.

It's not a problem. DX removed the add ons to enable him to put them in his kernel and provided an add ons pack to flash after installing the rom for those of us on stock kernel. The only "problem" is no one bothers to READ...
Guys please search the forum first for any solution. I also had this problem after upgrading but solved. Follow the link given and read carefully.
You dont need to install LinuxDX.

hehe. give the poor n00bs a chance. When it starts to go wrong, its just so hard to read!
I think the multitouch module shows something on dmesg in adb shell. But I dont remember whether that was the MDDI module or this multi-touch module. And make sure you used the right module for your digitizer.
I have a little problem with camera apk. The texture (camera view frame) is different than stock gingerbread. I don't know if it is a bug or dx change but it looks terrible. How can i fix that?

doixanh removed dualtouch because he wanted to add on more mods and room for linuxdx to be on there. there is meant to be no dual touch preinstalled on there. thats why i use v013

But you can still get the modules by flashing the addons zip in the GingerDX thread.

I use Cypress and the touch isnt working. I guess you neeed to find the correct driver and make it function with the ROM itself. I can wait for a year it doesnt matter
well then whose rom is it....

Can all the testing take place on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363903&page=1 Thank you all. I makes it easier to identify fixes what work, and which ones don't.
Cypress user fix this rom using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20035688&postcount=1191 and flash this rom using recovery + flash back your kernel to stock kernel.. its working for cypress..

Need more info to try and help... Is this stock ROM and Kernel? Have you unlocked bootloader and using a custom ROM?
kernel and custom rom
gingerDX
i've the same problem.
The problem occured when I flash Alfs kernel v07 ICS and GDX v22 ROM.
I though it was a hardware problem. I wanna bring it to Sony, but i lost my guarantee. so, i can do nothing.
Hi! I installed the gingerDX Rom, and I think it has dxs dualtouch solution by default.
My phone has Cypress, so I flashed the addons for GDX, but can't really figure out how to activate the AnDyX's Dualtouch for Cypress mod.
Thanks!
GingerDX is Synaptics and Cypress dualtouch enabled by default. You don't have to flash anything else.
Ok, thanks! I thought I had to configure something, because sometimes the touch screen is VERY laggy, specially to unlock with pattern and to answer a call... I have to try many times before I get it right... any tips for that?
Hello everybody, I wonder if it is possible to use dual touch ROM module (FroyoPro 2.5) in CM 7.2, the module of FroyoPro is softer and would like to use it!
grateful, sorry for bad English
nothing to do withe the Rom,
the digitizer: Synaptics or Cypress, depending how you have it, will dictate what module to use for DT:
- fake DT for synaptics by DX
- real DT for Cypress by AnDyX
You can take them from any Rom, but in order for them to work, they have to be "insmod" -ed into config....
Cheers,
Or you can insmod them in terminal every reboot. Trust me, that sucks.
And check which digitizer you have on your phone.
Sent from my W8 - yeah like I can use an abacus for this...

if my "chip" is synaptics ... I just wanted to use the MOD's dual touch rom FroyoPro in CM 7.2 ROM v11 because of dualtouch Froyo is much better.
Chance?

In Froyo ROM, go to /system/lib/modules and copy x8gesture.ko to your sdcard. In CM7 ROM, copy the x8gesture.ko from sdcard to /system/lib/modules, set correct permissions and reboot. Note that this will work only on stock kernel

only works in the Stock Kernel? FroyoPro with kernel-Alfs_GDX v8a dualtouch also has the smoothest, can not leave the dualtouch calibrated the same way in CM 7.2 v11?
