How to overclock telus fascinate(T959D) - Vibrant Android Development

I am running Darky Rom 10.2.2 and I am not able to overclock my Fascinate...I am using set cpu to overclock and cant set it over 1GHZ...I read somewhere that I will need to flash a OC/UV kernel but I am not sure where to find one. I hope someone here can steer me in the right direction

This is probably a stupid question but, does this kernel include the signal drop reboot fix for i9000 roms or is that something I need to do in addition to the kernel? Also if Its not included do I intall the reboot fix before or after I install a i9000 rom?
Thanks in advance

Phone stucks when I overclock it.

I'am using 748mhz parasmi OC kernel. When I set more than 604mhz after some time phone just got stuck. I'am using parasmi EmaNon rom to. What Iam doing wrong? And what I should do?
Sent from my piece of **** using Tapatalk.
You have to move Dalvik cache on SD-Ext in order to use OC kernel (for emanoN ROM), if you already have it there - your device can't handle OC.
I moved it to sd-ext. I think You don't understand my problem. I can turn on phone with installed OC kernel, I can set more than 604mhz, but when I set it, after some time, when I'am doing something I just got stuck. It looks like it works, but it works not excellent. So maybe someone other can help me? It's really big problem for me, cause I love games.

[Q] Rom Manger not detecting ClockWork Recovery?

I installed Clockwork Recovery from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=743333&d=1318051346.
And then Installed CM 7.2.0 RC 3 Cooper. But then Rom Manger Can't detect that the recovery is installed, please help me. And also please link me to all of the kernels that are compatiblw with the above rom.
DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER. IT BRICKS YOUR PHONE.
And you can use the search function for getting the kernels.

Can't find one that says compatible with CM 7.2.0 RC3 Cooper.
The search function is down for now but you could try google.
I would suggest you to stop trying to get a working rom manager at all.
Rom manager increased the galaxy aces death toll by a huge amount in the XDA community.
Why wanna you use ROM Manager? You can do everything that you want with CWM without bricking your Ace l:
Ok I won't use rom manager. But please guys help me with the kernel thing.
The search engine is up, just search "CM7 kernel", easy as that.
Rom manager works perfectly for me in official cm7! Make sure you have cwm 5.
But don't use it in stock rom. It will brick your phone....like it did to mine!
Rom manager needs a compatible cwm kernel...

stock rom - custom kernel

hey guys. im in the process of recovering a bricked optimus 2x, i currently have version 10a on there. but im upgrading via lg to the latest version.
i bricked my phone due to laptop battery died without telling me and i thought it bricked my phone so i posted a previous thread of which users were very helpful and ive got it working again.
but what id like to do now is keep a stock rom, but install a custom kernel so i can overclock and get rid of adds and install other things.
any info would be great. id just like to flash a kernel through clockwork mod already installed on my phone.
thanks guys

Well I've never tried it but if you got the zip file of the Rafael kernel (the boot.img one obviously) and replaced the boot.img inside it with the one I posted then I can see no reason why it wouldn't work.
However, this is partly why I have recently asked the question is it possible to boot into download mode without a working boot.img? My inclination is 'yes, it runs off the bootloader' but nobody seems to know the answer. So until I find out I'm hesitant to try it without being certain just in case something goes wrong.
