Looks ok...I guess. Would've been cooler to see a truly new AOSP rom than oxeygen with your edits bolted on. Atleast simple rom renamers have given a kickstart to wildfire development.

Yeah sorry! I was looking for a clean AOSP 2.3.7 but all I could find is Oxygen.
If you can find me a clean AOSP that doesn't need resizing thats android 2.3.7 I will use it!

Yeah, both of those WERE my options but in the end I decided I didn't want to go resizing everything. Building looked quite long and a hefty task so I left it. But maybe soon I might get a AOSP rom and resize, if you could help find me one I will mention you in my post. I'll call it "Even More Feathers" haha hopefully I'll start soon, I'm uploading v0.2 in a second improved a huge amount of things

There was a guide floating around this section from xbdg about compiling gingerbread AOSP for the wildfire and incorporating some of the CM team fixes. (Video recording, faster UI and such!) I will try and find this if you'd be willing to try it out. The tutorial was based on 2.3.5 at the time, But since its using the AOSP sources. The end rom should be 2.3.7

What is? The rom is based on oxygen. Which is 2.3.7.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Don't worry if it says 2.3.5, it is 2.3.7 because the user that ported the rom previously used DevNull ( 2.3.5) and he copied the build.prop file over to the Oxygen rom so basically it says 2.3.5 but its 2.3.7
then change in the build.prop from 2.3.5 to 2.3.7 when is basically on it ;D
Oh look another Oxygen winzippah...
@mrweqa - any chance of sharing the changes you've made (eg to GPS), so I can look at integrating them into Oxygen?
With regards to the 2.3.5 & 2.3.7 confusion - Oxygen is built from the 2.3.7 sources, but identifies itself as 2.3.5 for Market compatibility reasons.
Add (Replace is SUPL's are already there) this to /system/etc/gps.conf
SUPL_HOST=supl.sonyericsson.com

[TOOL] Flash_Patch v1 "The easiest Way to Port a ROM" UPDATED 10/21 With AOSP Version
Credits: IncDoes, myself.
This is the first stage of flash-patch development, this will be used to get the ports done on the Evo/Nexus over to the Inc in an easy suitable way that fits us all. No more rebuilding or packing a whole new zip
I will be updating the patch as we get more fixes.
What the patch does:
- flashes Inc system files replacing the Evo/Nexus system files
- flashes Inc boot.img replacing Evo/Nexus boot.img
THIS PaTCH NOW SUPPORTS PORTING OF N1 ROMS, TOO!!!
Download:
(SENSE): http://bit.ly/asxO8s
(VANILLA): http://bit.ly/aC9bSr
(ENOMTHER'S THENEXUSONE): http://bit.ly/ajrWsn
How to install:
- download flash-patch (posted above)
- download an Evo/Nexus ROM
- full wipe required
- flash the Evo/Nexus ROM but DO NOT REBOOT after install
- flash the patch over the Evo ROM
- now reboot
CHANGELOG:
v1 Sense/Vanilla/Enom- Initial Release
v1.5 Sense- Install Script deletes kernel modules before reboot
this patch was designed to work on any rom from the nexus or evo>>>any other rom will be unsupported!

They have their own roms (ava froyo, virusrom, nosenseevo just to name a few)
I am also working on one that will port from the nexus
rom kitchen does this, but does it even better. using this may cause issues if your replacing the whole boot image. if you want to make it better, include a kernel and use koushs any kernel flasher. some roms have rom specific data in the ramdisk that if you remove it, can cause issues.

2.3 is easier to develop than 2.2 was apparently. 2.1 is too outdated mate, just hit high and base it on Cyanogen mod 7. Look at Roms for Cyanogen mod 7 on the Desire or LG p500 and work from those?

hmm, I'm not sure, but I think you need to modify a lot of things to make whole 2.3 working, and it is too much work to do for one man, we would need a group of developers, and we don't have it :/

Definitely agree. I think a good format would be something like
Kernel Name w/link
[GB/FROYO] [2.6.x.x] [Updated x-x-xx]
And keep them separated by AOSP and Sense like you are already doing.

Most Sense developments have been on Gingerbread sense lately, but since we don't have the official OTA, the kernel source hasn't been dropped from HTC yet so no one is making kernels for GingerSense.

Well I'm not the dev for this Rom but even I can see its a pure base and not pieced together from a bunch of roms...nothing wrong with that...just saying.
Oh and Community Rom is based off Shooter which 'Sensation' Rewind is not.
Greetings!
My friend asked me if I could speed up his incredible S, and I told him that I could try and install a new rom on it.
However, I don´t know a thing about Incredible S roms. I am looking for a stable and fast rom, he is an android noob
so it has to have little to no bugs. Also ICS or JB would be good.
I don´t know if MIUI is available for this phone, but if so, is it fast and bug free? How about AOKP or CM9/10?
Which roms would you guys recommend, I´d like to try some non-sense
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
MIUI works great on this For AOKP I would try IceCold. CM9/CM10 are still full of bugs here but if you want you can have a look at them also. I would recommend CodeNameAndroid, as it has got the coolest tweaks
I'd recommend you to give Paranoid Android a try.
Except for some kernel related stuff, there are no major issues, and yes - it is responsive. And with some undervolting I get really good battery life out of it as well, even though I overclock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863862
*edit*
"little to no bugs"
Well, CyanogenMod 7, MIUI or Sense-ROM's seems to be your options in that case.
Pretty much every AOSP/AOKP ROM with ICS/JB will have the same bugs since the current kernels that are used for them are hacked to work... so if he doesn't want any bugs he should stay away from ICS/JB ROM's that are AOSP/AOKP - for now at least, but if it doesn't matter that much if some stuff isn't working properly and so on: go for Paranoid Android or Codename android.

Miui ICS is based off HTC's ICS ruu so there are not many problems either. Some problems from the chinese miui release were fixed by spongychicken. His rom is in the dev section, have a look
Codename android has my vote. It is a great JB ROM. however, it does have a few bugs.
