[Q] Android Revolution HD - HTC Incredible S

Those who are using android revolution hd rom, is there any bugs in this rom? Because I am finding a bug-free/little bugs rom

Anyone?

There hasn't been any opdates to ARHD Rom the last month, but i still think its the best Sense 2.1/3.0 Rom for the IncS out there, and its pretty much bug free.

Ok thanks

i would agree that it's one of the best one out there. although development has slowed down, i think developers are focusing on the newer models and Mike (the developer) doesn't actually have an INC S.

[Q] best rom for nexus one

hey guys, i have n1 (2.3.3).
So what is the best stable rom for a n1?
Thanks in advance.
I think you might install the latest Cyanogen Mod 7 if you wanna have stock Google experience, or, if you like Sense interface, you have different options:
- Try the RCmixHD, but is currently in testing;
- Install the eViL's Desire Rom (v1.26), based on the HTC Desire (so with Android 2.2);
- Install the eViL's Desire HD Rom (v1.1 beta) based on HTC Desire HD (always Android 2.2);
- Or try the MM's Rom which are 2, respectively better Desire Rom and Desire HD Rom!
Really, I don't know what ROM is better for our Nexus One, cos for example I really love to have Sense interface...
So I'm trying RCmixHD
Maybe you could have a look at MIUI rom...
A couple of threads below this, the same basic question was asked. Essentially, there isn't a "best" rom out there as everyone has their own preferences and tastes. What may be awesome for one person, may suck for someone else. (Prime example is Iperzampem0 and me... I personally don't like the Sense interface, where he loves it... that is the beauty of Android... pick what you like)

Should be near the top of the developers forum "miui super rom roobs linked" or something like that. Its not ics though its a gingerbread Rom that's slowly implementing the ics framework into its build. So far you won't notice any differences in the ui but its a good start as every new version released will contain more and more of the ics functionality, but for now there is no final release of ics and no stable build, so if you don't know what your doing I wouldn't reccommend this Rom... yet.
Pardon my lack of knowledge, but i dont understand there are different sense versions with roms. Do some like older sense than the newer ones? And why...

mostly people like the newer sense. its like going from froyo to gingerbread. depends on you...people generally like new things.
in case of sense....cosmetic changes are more.
Stable but not beautiful:
CM7 (or nightly)
Beautiful but a little bit unstable:
Sense 3.0 / 3.5 ROM

Question about Sense 3.0 update.

With the new HTC Sense 3.0 update is the phone still smooth or is it laggy? Is the new update of HTC Sense 3.0 the stablest ROM, for this phone? Will this new official update work better then the custom ROM's we have of Sense 3.0/3.5?

The new release will not be laggy for your device at stock setup with clean install. However upon installing apps and using up internal memory your phone will become laggy over time.
As to your second question no. Official releases will never best a custom room created by a well established dev. The roms released by our devs have all the unnecessary cap removed from the roms and the sloppy coding is all aligned properly to save space and thus giving your phone more internal space and better use of your ram. I would strongly advise you to never go to a stock rom for any reason other than returning to s-on for warranty purposes. All future roms will most likely be created using the stock rom most recently released for this device as a base and greatly improved upon.
I don't even have this device, I have the Incredible 2. I was just wondering of what to expect with the future update for my phone, since both of these phones are basically the same. All the Sense 3.0/3.5 ROMS for my phone have some form of annoying bug, or lag. While the stock Sense 2.1 ROM never lagged for me.

Just wanted to bump this topic, since I never really got a clear answer. Is the Sense 3.0 official ROM smoother then the Sense 2.1 official ROM?

If you have a DInc2, why are you bumping a thread on the IncS forum?
The official Sense 3.0 update has been out for quite some time. IMO it has been just as smooth as Sense 2.1, but to me, smoothness is one of those subjective things. What I consider smooth may not be what you consider smooth. You just need to try it and for yourself and make your own opinion.

Because the official Sense 3.0 just came out for the Dinc2. So before updating I wanted to hear what people had to say here.
To me it wasn't a smooth as I wanted so I had to root and believe me I never regretted it !!!! There are some roms in xda incredible S section Android development that are smooth like butter
Edit: I meant that sense 3 didn't impress me as sense 4.0A did !!!

[Q] The most stable rom for new user

Hello
My sister will take over my rooted IncS and would like to know what ROM you think is the most stable? The only requirement i have is at least android 4.0.
Hope u could give me some good advices, i dont have the time to test or read about every rom..
thx
Android Revolution HD, if you are ok with Sense interface. It will be fast and stable.
It doesn't have much custom features which can be found in the other ROMs, but it is a good ROM to start from.
What is important is that this ROM isn't abandoned by its developer, and it keeps being updated.

Almost every Sense ROM. The SENSE ROMs under the OP of the ROM index (in android development section) are all stable enough to be daily drivers

I agree with you: Sense ROMs, especially based on 4.0, are mostly more stable than based on bare Android. However, ARHD was the one where I haven't encountered any blockers (e.g. like a bug with keyboard in numeric input fields in Blackout ROM, though the ROM itself is still lovely).
Thanks for your replies! I think i go for ARHD

InsertCoin

My first smartphone was the HTC Sensation. My first custom ROM was ANDROID REVOLUTION. The first ROM I almost installed but never did was InsertCoin. Now 6 devices later here I am. I'm running ADRHD but I see InsertCoin and for nostalgia I think I'm gonna try it. Can someone tell me the differences between these two? Thanks

Read the features of each ROM and compare them yourself, mate. Android Revolution HD is basically stock but quicker, more stable and better battery life.
