Hi, we have just released a free app to the HTC Desire with Android 2.2 that can scan a barcode and do a webservice call to our productdatabase with buildingmaterials (apps name: nobb skanner).
We have many people complaining that the app does not work with the Wildfire with android 2.2.1. The app just terminate on the Wildfire after doing a barcode-scan. We do not have a Wildfire to do a test, and I would very much like to tell the development team what to do if someone her could give me a hint ;-)))
Is there anyone that knows what the issue could be?
best regards

IIRC, Barcode scanner had the same problem like, 4 months ago, I guess you can solve it with a simple mail to his developer.
Ps: you could even post the solution here, even if it seems pointless, posting it makes it avaible (even if it takes 5hours to find )
This sppears to be based on the same source as the barcode scanner app (what is it for?) i have had it crash (i hit report and sent the system info) just a side note it works fine on the galaxy tab but could do with being translated into english

I suspect it will either be to do with the Wildfires low resolution or limited EGL.
Still barcode scanner works and they seem to be running on the same base source

Could be. Tried it on my friends x10 mini pro running 2.1 and it had the sane issue

NOBB skanner
NOBB stands for norwegian building article database. NOBB contains allmost 700.000 articles sold in the Do it yourself (DIY) stores in Norway.
With the scanner you can find productinformation on the buildingarticles such as certification, maintenance, assambly etc. etc. just by scanning the products barcode.
The app is programmed for Android 2.2, and we know that it will not work on Wildfire bacause it use Android 2.2.1.
The app uses the common barcode scanner api.
Does the ordinary barcode scanner app function good on the Wildfire?
The normal one is Fine on the x10 and wildfire

Would be nice if at least the descriprion was also in english so people know what it is

The x10 mini pro is running 2.1 on a qualcomm msm 7227 with a qvga screen and a 5 megapixel camera. And it crashes as soon as you tap the button to open the barcode scanning function

Hi all,
One irritating issue that i still have with my new phone is that the pictures taken are named randomly.
I want them to be renamed according to their date and time taken, could any devs kindly make a flashable zip? I'm sure it will benefit not only me! Thanks in advance ~

Thread moved into appropriate forum.
no need to ask for dev, just install another camera app !
for example, camera360 do that
I've tried camera360 but the ui is not at fast/slick as the default camera app

Just by a show of users Id like to know whether or not those who have installed Instagram's newest update on the HTC VIVID still have issues with front cam pics, when taken they come out like how a broken NES cartridge used to look on your TV. Im looking to see if anyone has experienced the same exact probs so I can narrow down whether its my phone or the app.
Probably the app since were not the only users with front facing camera problems.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but my FFC has always been VERY fuzzy.

The FFC is a lower quality cmos camera, so the fuzziness will always be there. however it is known with devices using ICS the FFC fails to preview pics using the default instagram camera. Ive been emailing tech support and I was told the issue will be resolved soon.
If you disable the "advanced instagram camera" and use the phones default camera, all is well.
At present all photos taken with the FFC using the Instagram camera fail to show a preview, if not, garbles NES like designs...too bad there isnt a cartidge slot to blow compressed air into lol
lol and I understand l, but on my previous android, I had a VGA front camera and it seemed more detailed and less fuzzy than this FFC.

I'm having the same problem I get some off pixilation at the bottom when I preview the picture

At least u get an image on the ffc?
My guess: it's the app.

It MUST be the App.. I see it on my new HTC One X LTE.
Update, as per the most recent instagram release on google play, all problems are fixed. No need to install optional updated gl drivers, although the app works without them now

Apparently a lot of HTCs do this, but if I open the camera app or take a picture it kills the music that's playing. That sucks.
Are there any tweaks to change/fix that or plans to create a salvation?
It's a feature not a bug kinda thing. No work arounds
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4 Beta
It is in all android phone. For me it happened in my old Galaxy Ace and the G-Nex and now the Htc One X.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I've read that it was tweaked off on a few older phones, but no roms so far have that tweak or third party players that circumvent it?
It's not a feature if it's inconvenient, I could understand if it killed the music for a video but for a photo it's just silly. Silly like down's syndrome...
So the night people didn't know of a way around this, do the day folks have any work arounds?
Oohhhhh mmyyyyy Goddddddd man pleaseee is that your first HTC phone in your life ?
I listen to music while I take pics mannn
U just go to shutter option and untick shutter sounds
Ughhh plz looool
Get back to me if it worked for u mate

Along the same lines, is there a way to get music to keep playing when recording a video?
Very cumbersome when say...trying to record a girl dance to said music.

nothing currently available that I know about, would imagine it would be something cyanogenmod might add to focus at some point. Might want to mention it to them as a possible future release idea.
