- HTC Flashlight not working.
- Change Log -
v0.1.1
- Added BASH shell and nano text editor.
- Added ConnectBot Terminal Emulator.
- Removed wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre3 and used wireless_tether_2_0_2.
- *Users who flashed ROM v.1 don't need to re-flash with this version, just install wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre3+, unless you need BASH shell*.

I like 2.2 as well, but until the video and picture taking abilities get worked out... It kinda defeats the purpose.

if you need any help with future verzions of this rom, i can help you if you want.
i also do light theming too, so if you want a themed status bar, lockscreen icons, etc in your rom, i could cook it in .

downloaded, did the wipe and tried to install. said it wasn't verified. so i turned off verification and am installing it this way, ill let you know how it goes.
installation was successful. everything seems to be working.
one question to the forums, and i hope i dont offend the OP, but if the ROM is not signed, and since i had to install it without verification, does this mean it is more likely that the creator has added something "bad" to the ROM? Again, im not trying to offend you OP, just gotta make sure you know.

You know what would be cool. If someone made a lockscreen using the stargate. And you had to dial a stargate address to unlock the screen. That would be awsome.
Yeah i admit im a gatehead.

Even if its signed there is a possibility of something bad, as you put it. Anyone could create a key and sign it. I don't believe there have been any malicious roms but that is what the community is here for. I'm sure ppl smarter then myself disect everything in a Rom to make sure nothing is malicious. Props to OP will be testing tonight.

In the end, theres really not too much one could do to watch for "bad stuff." I don't even know what bad stuff you'd be looking for though, keyloggers? If theres one of those, all you'd have to do is double check the input section to make sure it's a legit IME. Other than that, ATK would help you look for anything else.
The fact of the matter is most of these roms just aren't signed, unless you're building from aosp, or you take the keys out of the rom that you're modifying.

Screw it. Installing now
Well I just spent the last two days learning how to decompile/compile framework. FUN STUFF *sarcasm* Anyways, here is the power menu and lockscreen mod for stock deodexed JL5.
UPDATE 1/10/2011 - Settings now has "Stay awake" option under Settings>Applications>Development
All links have been updated. For those who have already flashed I have included just the Settings.apk at the bottom of the page.
JL5 Power Menu & Lockscreens > DOWNLOAD
JL5 Berserk Power Menu & Lockscreens > DOWNLOAD
JL5 black and white icons version > DOWNLOAD
Instructions
1. Place zip of your choice on internal sdcard
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Flash zip to phone
4. Reboot
Click to collapse
This wipes the dalvik-cache so the first reboot will take about 5 minutes or so. I have made two versions. Both work the same, just one is themed to Berserk [<3].
Again, this is for stock deodexed JL5. Flash on other roms at your own risk. Be warned you will lose any theming you have such as accurate battery mods and such. Do not ask me to make an odexed version because it is not going to happen.
Thank you to Untermensch for his awesome write-up on the power menu mod as well as the lockscreens!
Thank you to Brick'd for advice that which helped in the compiling of the framework-res.
Thank you to S0niqu3 for the black and white icons
Enjoy Everyone!

Thanks! Appreciate the tip on the compression/heap size. I added your name to the OP. I meant to when I uploaded them but at 2am... Saw your reply in the other thread. After I changed those settings it would compile no problem; the hardest part was sifting through all the resource ids. Definitely took some trial and error before I started getting the pattern/location. Now I know why these things aren't posted right away lol.

I could probably make one with gray scale icons but it wouldn't look so nice with the blue heading. Let me poke around and see how to changed the power heading from blue to black. Would definitely make it look better.

There are probably some accurate batt mods in the themes section that you could flash, but you will most likely lose this mod.
Been waiting for this. You have made my day. Flashing this now.
Very nice. Has anyone who has this also flashed JDan's SBG themes the flying animations with battery?
I updated the OP with another version that has the older black and white icons. Figured I'd throw out a few options for ppl.
Minor update! Settings now has the "stay awake" option under Settings>Applications>Development. All links have been updated and I also added a flashable zip for just the Settings.apk for ppl who have already flashed. Enjoy!
With the release of the restore files I felt comfortable enough to give deodexing a shot. Everything but the BlurCalender deodexed beautifully with xUltimate2.3.1. Now to get an AOSP theme!!
I'm new to all this, what does deodexing do for us? I'm guessing it has something to do with themes since you mentioned that.

haha but in all seriousness.. it will help with ROMs and Themes
Ha my NoScript addon blocked your LMGTFY
I almost knew someone was going to do that lol thanks tho man
yea same here, what did you do just remove it or left it odexed?
Using the commands for xUltimate it removes all the odex files so they will probably need to be added. I am having other issues as i did not backup the calender.apk so i need the original before i can experiment.
I ran thru and deodexed everything except the calendar. Was getting a lot of force closures.
I noticed someone else had the same and the he is looking in to it.

If you are referring to my post.
I was referring to a manual way to deodex and not use xUltimate as it is not working for the Bionic.
I was able to deoedex everything except the calendar like you.
But when I applied the files to the phone, I started getting a lot of force closures and had to start over.
I am waiting for xeudoxus to take a look and patch xUltimate to work with the Bionic.

Introducing Blackhole Bionic.
<disclaimer>
I cannot guarantee any success on your phone, and any loss of time, money, happiness, life, etc. that happens as a result of flashing this ROM is your own responsibility. I recommend you use Safestrap, but it will work with Bootstrap as well. Always have an FXZ ready in case something goes wrong. If you are on .235 or .238 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST FLASHING THIS OR ANY ROM WITH BOOTSTRAP as there is no way to FXZ to a working build.
</disclaimer>
Some of you may remember me from the Samsung Fascinate or HTC Thunderbolt. I made a ROM called Blackhole, because there was nothing like it, but I wanted there to be. Something with choices. I wanted a ROM that was exactly what I wanted, and nothing that I didn't. No toolboxes, no bloatware, no apps that I'd never use just because the creator wanted to add them. What I created was a stock based ROM that was as empty as I could possibly make it without everything falling apart. And on the Bionic that philosopy has served me well again, as I've created the first Blur Based ROM that is flashable in Safestrap.
This ROM contains none of the usual apps you'd expect to see in a full release. It has been trimmed down to the bare minimum. Why should you keep the stock browser if you only use Chrome? Who needs the MotoEmail if you prefer K9? And why would you want Blockbuster saved on your system partition where you can never get rid of it, when it can be downloaded from the market so easily? The answer? You don't!
Most of the missing apps are downloadable from the market. This saves them on the /data partition where you have plenty of space, not limited by Safestrap.
This is the first public release of Blackhole for the Bionic, and I will be working over time to continue to slim it down and make more options available. Here is a list of what's in the current build. If I've used any of your work without credit I apologize, please let know and I'll credit you, or remove it if you have a problem.
Stock apps: Calendar, Contacts, Phone, Play Store, Search, Settings, Smart Actions*, Talk, Text Messaging
Market apps: Camera ICS*, Nova Launcher*
CM9/AOSP apps: Clock*, Gallery*, File Manager*
Mods: Build.prop edits, governers, and beats audio from RedHead by Sparkyman 216 (A fantastic ROM if you want a full featured, Flash-and-go setup) and 1% battery mod by Dluke (works on stock based .232 .235 or .238 ROMs)
(* indicates a future release will make this file an optional addon with the choice of Stock, CM9/AOSP, or Market apps (free only)
Screenshots
Video Review
Recommendations for replacing removed apps:
Browser: Chrome, Dolphin HD, Firefox
Email: K-9 Mail
Voicemail: Google Voice
I will be adding extra files daily to flash some of the stock apps back to the phone if you prefer them. these include Email, Desk/Car dock launchers, Gallery, Camera, Visual Voicemail, and anything else the users request.
Instructions:
Bootstrap:
1. Make sure you are running a version of bootstrap that will boot to recovery on every bootup. like this one.
2. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!
3. Data wipe should be unnecessary, but is recommended
4. Flash the downloaded ROM
5. Reboot
6. Install the bootstrap apk again.
7. Bootstrap recovery.
8*. Install a Root File Manager (Root Explorer, ES file manager, Astro, etc.)
9*. Delete /system/vendor/app (except for the swype apk if you use swype)
10*. Delete /preinstall/app
11. Enjoy
*Steps 8, 9 and 10 are not necessary, but will remove the extra bloatware I haven't figured out how to remove with my install script yet.
Safestrap:
1. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP!
2. Switch to Safe Side
3. Wipe Data
4. Flash the downloaded ROM
5. Reboot
6. Enjoy
So without further words, here is Blackhole Bionic 1.0:
Blackhole Bionic 1.0
Mirror #1 by Krazyace38 from ROMbot.org
Mirror #2 by JP1044 from ROMbot.org
Add-ons:
If you are running Bootstrap you can flash any or all of the system versions of these files, and they will save to the /system partition and will be saved permanently into the ROM, and will remain after a data wipe. If you are running Safestrap your space is very limited, so you will not be able to flash everything to system. consider flashing some of these apps to /data instead, or using a market app. Some will not work if flashed to data, so there is no download option in the data section.

I have used google maps navigation and had no issues with it. I have not tried any other gps programs. Just be aware that it's not pre-installed and you will have to download it from the market. prepare for that before you're in the car getting pulled over for trying to download it while driving =)

I've been on .232 CM9 since I got the phone (with the exception of the first 16 hours while I was learning how to not break it). I've never used the 1% option, mostly because I hate having a cluttered status bar and because I use circle battery widget on my homescreen.
I would rather there not be any numbers there. Since they are there, I think the mod would benefit from taking them off the battery icon altogether, putting both numbers centered over the battery icon, or at least making the battery icon skinnier so that the second number is centered inside of it. The way it is currently makes it look like an unintentional mistake, largely due to how misaligned the second number is over the battery.
I've never done anything with themeing, maybe I'll take this on as a little project for myself.
Hell yeah. Make sure to show your work!
We are always looking for fresh mods in here.
Good luck and make sure to report back!

I got a bit confused with your title. Is this ROM deleted? I wouldn't mind seeing what my old LG can do...1.9GHz? I'm still on zv9 but since I modded, it fails OTA to ZVB. I need to remember how to update the ROM.... it's been a while.

This ROM wont go to ZVB, unless i get a stock zip.
You cant ota with CWM installed, i have tried and failed.
Just put this on my wifes revo, other than a few force closes and the battery level in the status bar it seems to be alright. Pretty quick for what it is.

Ok great, thanks for trying it out, the battery is due to some PNG's missing.
The FC's are probably due to the PNG's missing from the apk, and as it cant find the PNG's it FC's
Cool, dude. I need to start ripping on mine. I jumped to a G2 and have been busy with it. I now have a VS910 I can brick as much as I want.

My phone died and I am back on my Revo...it's been quite the haunting experience. Makes me indescribably happy to see development hasn't halted entirely since I left this phone so long ago. Will get this installed in short order and let you know how it goes.
What is needed to get a stock zip of ZVB?
EDIT: Literally laughed out loud at my absurdly outdated signature.
EDIT2:
TouchWiz frameworks(may not work due to android versions, etc)
Sony Walkman Features(May not work due to android versions, etc)

What Android versions do these not work on? And if they don't work, can they be removed?

You just flash it over any android version you already have, but ONLY on the LG REVOLUTION.
To get a zip just, unroot, ota to ZVB, reroot, make a backup, and send it to me, at which point i can get a ZVB ROM pushed out.
And some features of this are not ready, a am working as fast as i can to get features made or ported.
V2!
Version 2 is here!
It has some new features(Xposed).
The battery icon is not fixed, it will be fixed later.
This is a nice rom, very smooth and nice if you can fix the obvious bugs then I would say it's the best Tom for the revolution. Btw how do you get themes to run? I looked all over and couldn't find a theme manager?

Theme manager does not work, i rushed to get this ROM released, because I lagged too long.
So in V2.1 OR V3 it should work, and the status bar in V2.1.
Is the hidden LG menu in this build. ##program910 with 00000 force closes, and ##lgservicemenu I get a ringing tone.
I want to access the test battery option so I can use my extended battery which gives me not genuine battery.
where is the status bar
theres no pulldown notigication bar
Dude this rom reboots constantly
