Hi,
I'm facing quite a few issues in my HTC Incredible S which I purchased just 2 weeks back.
Issue 1: When I make any call or receive any call and click on "End" button after the call, the call never ends. In status bar (top left corner) I still get phone icon (as if call is still going on). When I go to phone call log and click on recently dialed or received number, the call still remains on and "End" button is disabled. After few minutes the call actually gets End. This is something strange.
Issue 2: Suddenly all my SMS were sorted by old dates. All the latest SMS were at the bottom and all the old messages were at the top. There was no way to revert this sorting. Since it was new phone and only few sms were transferred from old phone I deleted all the top old messages so now all latest SMS are coming at top. Also some of friends received old sent sms again. So phone automatically resent old sent items.
Issue 3: When I end any call I momentarily get locked screen then it automatically goes away and I get earlier screen. Not sure why this is happening.
Has anyone faced similar issues in past or facing them now?
Can you please advise what could be the reason for this?
Note : Recently I upgraded my phone software from 2.3.1 to 2.3.3.
Thanks in advance,
Abhijeet
those are known issues for android 2.3.3
there's nothing u can do except if ;
1- your carrier releases updates to android 2.3.5
2- flashing an android 2.3.5 based custom rom
3- downgrading back to froyo (needs htc signed ruu and also goldcard)
for the signed ruu n goldcard, do lurk around more in xda and you'll find your answer
Thanks shiningarmor for the information.

Dude, what are you talking about? Never heard of those problems.

You could try a factory reset.

So I have a slight issue... I flashed RTM Mango when it came out a month ago and the stock HTC headphone remote for volume, end call, and the microphone stopped working which is understandable since the build had no firmware, so when I flashed the stock TMOUS 7.0.7004.0 I thought they would work again, but they didn't so I started updating officially through Zune Desktop and every time it updated I checked to see if they worked and they didn't... I checked on 7.0.7008.0, 7.0.7392.0 and finally on Mango 7.1.7720.68 and they didn't work on any of them... so either I damaged my firmware permanently or something happened to the headphones (which is highly unlikely)... any help is appreciated thanks!
I had the same situation , now I lost the HSPL and not able to reintall any other rom, as far as I know there is no way to fix that , in siple words phone is "soft bricked" ....

Is there anyway for anyone at T-Mobile to pick up on something like that? I'm gonna see if warranty will cover it...
Hi everyone I have an HTC VIVID with S-ON i put miui 2.9.14 and my sound volume is extremely low especially the in call volume also my gps doesn't work like the Google maps navigation or maps cant connect the gps either does anyone have a solution to the sound or gps issue?
Try to reflash the Rom and try different kernels sometimes helps also.
I've tried everything every time I install a new kernel it either knocks out my wifi or gets stuck on the white htc screen anyone with any ideas?

Which kernels have you tried? And have you performed a full wipe/re-install of the rom for each different kernel you have tried?
Where did you find this version of MIUI? I'd like to try it out...

When having unfixable problems sometimes the only thing that will work is returning to stock. Relock and start all over from the very beginning.

I just installed MIUI 2.9.29 on my Bell Raider (which has a current base of the Rogers ICS RUU). I am S-OFF so I'm sure the kernel flashed fine as part of the rom install, but I went into Settings/About Phone to confirm. It says it is running the faux kernel it comes with (3.0.33-MSM8660-Faux123-v007+)
- Call volume is just fine for me and when it is in Speaker mode it goes pretty loud! However - It doesn't seem to do LTE (dealbreaker for me). I checked the APN. It had everything correct. I only get HSDPA. I even went into the special phone menu and the choices were only GSM or WCDMA (no LTE items listed).
- GPS also seemed to work fine for me. I installed Google Maps from the market, launched it, the GPS icon started flashing in the notification bar, and it detected my exact location pretty quickly.
- The gallery and music player showed duplicates of each photo/song for me. Strange!
I still wonder if it's a kernel issue you're having. When you do a fresh flash of MIUI, and boot into it, go into Settings/About Phone, scroll down, and check what it says for Kernel Version. Also, if you go to flash a different kernel manually via fastboot (immediately after a fresh install of the rom), go into that same menu and see if the kernel you flahed is listed.
If the kernels don't seem to be flashing, I wonder if your phone has to experience an 'insecure' kernel flash first (this can be done by flashing Kozmik's 'stockish' kernel via fastboot). I'm not sure if this even applies to S-ON phones though...
I do agree with drwario though - starting fresh from scratch (re-locking bootloader and running your specific stock ICS RUU) is a good idea.
you are s-on? sounds like what happens when you dont flash kernel correctly. try to flash the kernel using fastboot and see if it fixes it
Relock your bootloader then reflash it to stock with no interruptions then just go back unlock the bootloader and reflash your Rom make sure that if u are s-on to flash the kernel.via fastboot

I'm pretty desperate right now as I'm trying to fix my phone for like 24 hours straight and searched the whole ****ing internet for a solution and my eyes are popping out any moment. My situation:
I have a HTC One from Vodafone Germany with LTE.
I rooted it with the HTCdev.com method described in this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292729
After that I put CM10.2(Android 4.3) on my phone and for the first two days it worked quite ok but since two or three days I get no signal at all. The APN settings are definitely correct. Then I decided I try to go back to stock and that's where the next problem pops up. It seems that I can't go back to stock because when I do my phone wont react to any touches at all. It seems this is a common problem when going back from 4.3 to a lower version (as the nandroid backup of vodafone stock is 4.2.2 or 4.1.2). Because I used the method mentioned above I'm stuck with HBoot 1.54 and S-On so I can't do anything about that touch problem it seems and on 4.3 I don't get any signal at all (WiFi working, just saying). Even tried Pac-Man Rom, still no signal at all. Can someone help me in any way? No one can call me or text me for two to three days now and this is a really bad situation!
Hope I did not miss anything!

have you tried to flash a stock RUU? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860
As I already mentioned... Yes I did and then the display wont recognize any touch input
Have you tried flashing the TWRP for the newer drivers and seeing if it responds?

It's not the recovery where the touch is not working. Recovery is working fine. As soon as i flash the stock rom and boot, i cannot type in my pin, because it wont react to touch.

Wut. But have you tried an RUU: a total factory reset of everything?
Hey Guys
Just updated from 4.2.2 to 4.3 and now my SMS just sits on sending unless I make a phone call 1st.
Then as soon as the call connects all my SMS's send at once.
It is fine after that unless I reboot my phone, then I have to initialize it again by making a call 1st.
The APN's are all correct and the same as they were on 4.2.2.
1st time for me experiencing this, any ideas on a fix?
Cheers!

I am using Android 4.3 since it's released (few months).
I never experienced such thing yet but as long as i know and probably your firmware is messed or it was not updated correctly (maybe missing some code or binary), You have two choices...
1- Backup anyway your want and reset.
2-Backup anyway you want and flash a new firmware.
Yeah tried twice and same crap
I am rooted but running the generic international stock 4.2.2 and both times the SMS issue arises but works perfectly on 4.2.2.
Everything else is working g perfectly.
Still have root after the update.
Perhaps I should unlock the boob loader (lol) and flash a custom rom?
Ok Kinda long but want to cover everything:
So I rooted my htc one m8 (sprint) about 6 months ago I have twrp recovery and I flashed android revolution 8. A few months later I installed android revolution 11 no problems with it what so ever. A cpl days ago I tried to flash android revolution 22 but had no luck just kept boot looping and I lost everything on my phone after some research It seems I wouldnt be able to go to kit kat 4.4.4 without going back to stock rom so I relocked my bootloader ran rom utility updater and flashed it back to stock and reset up my phone tried to flash over to android revolution again after unlocking bootloader and all that good stuff still did not work so just decided to go back to stick 4.4.4 kept bootloader locked and didn't re root my phone didn't see much of a need to at this point could only seem to use stock but anyway after a day or so of phone running just fine well today it wont connect to my mobile network or wifi (can't make or receive phone calls can't send or receive texts and am unabke to get any internet on my phone wont even connect to wif) I have even restored the phone from original back-up that I had also tried 2 other back-ups of stock roms the phone is pretty much just an mp3 player at this point sprint said everything was fine on their end nothing they can do all the icons are there for 4g and wifi and such the phone shows me its connected to sprint shows signal strength and all that so I don't know whats wrong and don't think htc will help me since I rooted it hopefully some one here can i'm
well I must be screwed if over 300 views on my post and not reply well that's what I get I guess
As far as I know ARHD is not Sprint compatible so you probably messed up your partitions.
RUU will fix it.
Only flash roms that are in the Sprint section.
Apart from compatibility off ARHD to Sprint M8 ... There is also that dreaded HTC service pack that was released on 11th Dec which screwed the network n Wi-Fi on my phone (stock Rom)
First time itty happened due to auto update install via play store and started working after I did multiple attempts at cache delete through TWRP
2nd time even after researching and knowing the service pack was the culprit I thought I should try...ending up with factory reset...so do check it
If you too had that service pack installed
Btw even htc acknowledges the sh#@ this update is causing to the phones and wants to collect more data... I don't know if anything else can be called a legit rip off or not...
