You're welcome. Feeling bad for the developer because everybody is taking it for granted by rating it low simply because it takes a long time to download / lag (because they're using a older device) / purchased it at full price / etc.
I mean come on, it's a good game and a lot of effort was put into it.
Nice. Thanks.
Does the game run smooth on your Nexus S? It's not smooth on mine. The graphics are all laggy like less than 20 fps.
WOW, very nice!
it's been several hours, and i've had it with it...
the download breaks down every other file -_-
and then you have to start it all over again, more or less
that's odd. mine downloaded fine in about 15 seconds...

Thanks for the heads-up! Downloading now
It seems the game doesn't work on my i9023(unrooted).
I don't understand why.
Is it a bug or something?
I almost turned off every other app to make room for enough ram.
Need second confirmation.
if you still have problem downloading grab the full package from the developers http://dungeondefenders.com/androidmobile
and follow their instructions

you have to restart your phone after installing the game
mine stuck at the start screen
I downloaded it on friday from market. Its works fine on my i9023.
Only it was a lot of download of files before the first run.
The whole download took about 30 minutes.
This actually pisses me off.the people(including me) dont get any bonus, extra or what ever for buying the app.this is a big slap in the face for early adopters

Dl and works fine, lvl 10 so far. Kinda laggy at times with alot of monsters come out, but still very playable. I try and do online play but always get kicked out...i guess they dont like lvl10 ppl
This is laggy as hell for me, and im clocked at 1.3ghz, uninstalled.
Is it actualyl smooth for anyone? Or are ya just putting up with the frames?
Nintendo DS Emulator got released for droid:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.chaos.nds4droid&feature=search_result
I don't think it takes advantage of dual-core processors yet though, nor does it seem to be tablet optimized. Since it just got released its probably not very optimized at all, but hey it works!
I tried playing Pokemon Platinum and i found it too slow to play. Has anyone else had better luck with other games?

To get it to launch you have to put the xoom in portrait mode, then launch the app. It wont launch in landscape mode...lol
I'd be tempted to buy and backup just in case it gets removed from the market or something, and to support the dev's work on getting it optimized. But $6 is way too steep for a app before anyone's reporting it being playable yet.
Version 1.1.4, the latest at the moment I believe, launches on mine in portrait only also, but games are so slow.
In pokemon soulsilver, it took 5 minutes to get the character to take 3 steps left to walk downstairs from his room.
Also not keen about switching between buttons and touch screen all the time, but this is minor compared to the games running at a glacial pace.
But, ya, it is new and I'm sure the dev can squeeze a lot more out of it.
I cant seem to use the touchscreen when playing this...are you guys having issues with the touchscreen as well?
-.- tap the button on the top left and the touchscreen will be available to be used.

You do realize this thread was started April 6th?
Its better to not read a thread and make a snyde comment about it that adds nothing to the conversation, than it is to read the thread and say something worthwhile.
Sent from my Motorola "Hey, is that an iPad?" Xoom
I'm aware that the game compatibility thread covers emulation.
But I thought I'd make a thread to specifically discuss playstation emulation.
I downloaded psx4droid 3.0.0 from the dev site, but it doesn't work on my Xoom, just closes when I open an iso, and says running in the task bar. But doesn't do anything. If you click on it, it closes.
A google search says that 3.0.1 is available, but their site seems to be down at the moment.
I tried FPse, with changing the settings. It worked. But the set to small screen doesn't stick. Have to reset it each time.
And I can't get the wii controller to work with it.
Anyone have any luck?
Found a download for psx4droid 3.0.1 from an alternate source, because zodttd still seems to be down. And the problem is the same. Assign a bios file, have 2 different ones, and then launch an iso or bin file and the app closes and a message comes up in the task bar at the bottom, if you click on it, it brings you back to iso selection.
Well im glad I'm not the only one.. thought maybe it was a bad game file
Yea, this is going to be hard for zodttd because he even stated himself on his site that he doesn't have the new latest android devices so he is doing the best he can with what he has...which to be honest I am amazed he is even still working on it after it got taken off the market.
Oh, and p.s. his site seems to be back up for now: http://www.zodttd.com/wp/
I use FPSE. In landscape, full screen with screen filtering and the enhanced sound emulation at 0 frameskip I play Mortal kombat mythologies, trilogy, and castlevania symphony of the night at full speed no problem. overclocked 1.5 ghz.
I've also got the same problem with psx4droid. I'm gonna try fpse right now.

All you have to do with FPSE and the screen size issue is tab out and tab right back in. It is a minor bug that the developer will hopefully address soon.
You will only have to do this once when loading the emulator.
Also make sure you have HLE mode disabled if you are intending to use the emulator with a proper BIOS.
FPSE isn't as polished overall as psx4droid, but I have found it to handle games a little better. I couldn't get past the first Quistis cutscene of FF8 with psx4droid but maybe this has been corrected now.
I have both psx4droid(only rom tested was metal gear solid) and fpse working on my xoom. I disabled compatibility in spare parts if that may affect it.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
FPse for Android is a really solid Playstation Emulator. Its a paint to get started since the Roms arn't 4MB like N64 and Snes . But once you get through that its very enjoyable.
I also use FPse with the wiimote controller.
Makesure you set the wiimote to the active input keyboard, or it wont work in fpse.
Just checked the site and they've released 3.0.5. It specifically states it's compatible with the Xoom. I installed it and i'm trying it out now.
Yeah...still doesn't work...
fpse doesn't work for me at all...any attempt to disable HLE mode just results in a force close for the next action I attempt, and games won't run with it on either, so I'm kinda stuck. Does this happen to anyone else? I'm running fpse v0.10.39.
Edit: Actually, nevermind. I updated to 10.41 and it's great now, but I can't get that custom overlay working. What am I doing wrong...
Looks like I'm grabbing a classic controller and loading up some metal gear solid for my lunch breaks ha

FPSe (latest version) is running pretty smoothly on my Xoom; tested it with Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 9 and I'm getting pretty good performance .
Using 0.10.43 and BIOS scph1001
Streetfighter collection and wipeout running well. Just wish they'd boost the resolution a bit for the new tablets. Or correct me if I'm wrong but this is def lower res than a ps1, isn't it?
Sent from my MZ604 using Tapatalk
i'm not too sure about the resolution. You can turn on graphics filtering but tends to lag the crap out of some games. I think it mostly looks the way it should though. PS1 games were very jaggy, even the sprite based ones.
Maybe it's just a Rose tinted view of the past which is making me remember better graphics in wipeout? Man I must have spent a whole year of uni playing that damn game!!

Yea, I found it a bit funny bc the description says its not compatible with tablets, yet Amazon website has a green compatible check mark next to the Xoom. Sow sadly it does start on a black screen on the xoom like its not going to work but if u keep taping the screen and tring to move stuff to the screen it will work.
I just loaded the app and it started. What kernel are you using? Are you on OC GPU? I don't like that OC stuff so I'm stock. I'm up to level 40 and it hasn't sputtered or crashed (knock on morning wood).

I actually am using stock and am not rooted. I was thinking about flashing for sdcard support but I think Im gonna wait and see what 3.2 brings.
The game is awesome I used to play it back in my iOS days.

It seems to work for me.. the 'not for tablets' is probably because it isn't optimized as well as you have to scroll the screen a little bit up/down to see the top are of the screen for putting towers etc and down to put them on the lowest part of the playing field. Otherwise.. seems to work great for me.
I get an Unauthorized Request error when I start it up. I click OK and it closes .

I'm in the same boat as you, and it sadly isn't working. I got SOO excited when it came out too!
Anyone have a work around? It begins to play the game fine. I select the level and difficulty, it shows me where all of the buttons are, and then the map turns black. The game continues on, and I can use the in-game controls, but can't see anything. Guess I'm just beat

I'm using a custom kernel. Try going to the dev section and looking in the Notubuntu thread. Flash that kernel and try it. Maybe its kernel related. Mines works fine everytime. I'm on wave 70 and no hiccups.
By the way I'm not overclocked or anything. I'm using the stock honeycomb also. If you guys are using a different ROM it could be an issue.

For me the trick is to do a two finger re-size on the black background, this causes the play field to be redrawn and works great.
Anyone have this issue? See the small text?
Man this game is harder than it looks. How the hell do I stop the helicopters from getting past? I feel like I'm upgrading the early buildings and its killing me!
I noticed that when my game ended and my name was on my high score list. I could not read the list. Either the text was microscopic or was not working correctly.

I have the issues too. I beat the game on easy and medium. Save up for lightning towers and upgrade them to the Max. Also place the goo towers spread apart to slow them down.

Early on drop a middle launcher along the aircraft flight path, then lightning generators later in the round.
I have the same "small text" issue with the high scores screen - this is probably the reason this game isn't "approved" for tablets.

Yea, I got the update works good.
I have been hitting a roadblock with trying to get 9mm to run on my touchpad.
So far I have been working from the instructions here:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/7709-gameloft-compatibility-thread-with-working-version-s/
There is a copy on XDA as well but they both do the same thing. Normally I get all pink/red textures. Using the instructions I get all black/white textures.
According to everything I can find the setup listed "should" work, but it does not for me. I think I am missing some steps, but trying to search for "9mm" does not come up with much.
I see mention about getting the Tegra version of the game but nobody says how to do this. I assume it has to do with an edit to build.prop but so far the exact edit is something I cannot find.
Thanks
I have the same issues. I was able to get rid of the pink and actually get the correct graphics. The game starts to go black after the intro though. I wonder if getting the full version of chainfire would help. Any suggestions?
Sent from my GT-i9100 using Tapatalk
I am running the full version and have had no luck at all. For me I get black textures for everything on the Nvidia plugin. Pink for every other setting.
I have seen it listed as working but so far nobody will actually post how they got it to work.
At least I only invested .99 . Not a huge loss if I cant get it running.
Ok, I got a bit closer last night in getting this running. I can now watch the opening movie without any texture distortion but after that the game locks up. Sound still plays fine.
Oddly my live wallpaper also starts crashing, making me wonder if I am hitting a memory cap. I do run V6 supercharger so I can make adjustments to the limits.
What I did, and it is based on posts linked in the original thread and some serious expiramentation.
1 - Delete the 9MM game folder from /sdcard/gamelof/ I believe it has the letters 9MM in it.
2 - Change your build.prop. Model: PG86100 Brand: Sprint
3 - Reboot
4 - Start 9MM. let it download the files, mine were about 800MB
5 - Restore you build.prop . This will vary depending on your rom.
6 - Another reboot
Like I said this starts to play for me then locks up. I have not played much with all the plugins and drivers in Chainfire3D so the solution may be in there someplace. This may also not be the best way to get it running...but so far it is the closest I can get

I haven't tried it for this game, but I am familiar with jumping through hoops to get Gameloft games to work.
Basically what you would need to do is to pick a popular Tegra 2 device that Gameloft supports and Google for the build.prop of that devices. If you're not sure which devices are Tegra 2 check wikipedia and if you aren't sure which devices Gameloft supports check their site, but in general they like the big mobile carriers like Samsung, HTC and Motorola but ignore others like Asus, so don't pick the Transformer build.prop.
In this case I would say go for the Xoom build.prop edits and I did Google Xoom and 9mm and verified people with the Xoom are saying it works on their device.
In this case, a Google search for Xoom build.prop should bring up some useful results. Having done that the relevant edits you want will be:
ro.product.model=
ro.product.brand=
ro.product.name=
ro.product.device=
In the case of the Xoom you would want the following edits:
ro.product.model=Xoom
ro.product.brand=verizon
ro.product.name=trygon
ro.product.device=stingray
The other thing you will want to do is use Chainfire set to the Tegra 2.
The build.props should get you the Tegra data and then Chainfire should (hopefully) translate it run properly.
Again, I haven't tried all this but I have done similar edits for other Gameloft games.
That is the type of information I was looking for, thank you thank you thank you
I have Wifi issues when I reboot at work so I will try this when I get home tonight and report back.
