Hello All,
I have a HTC HERO. It's NOT Sprint, and it's a CDMA.. (at least I think from my understanding) running the 2.1 update. It's been rooted, and I've been looking for a newer ROM that can run App2SD.
My question is,
Which ROMs are available that AREN'T for the Sprint model? Where can I find them? Got a Link?
P.S. I was able to flash the aospMod-v0.9.9.2-signed into it but it's for a sprint model and it didn't seem to have the functional-ability that it did. So I recovered back to the old one.

I finally took a plunge and upgraded from my beloved t-mobile's MDA(HTC Wizard) to Sprints Diamond(partially because i was able to get the old $30 SERO plan). Being a vivid xda user 1st thing i thought about it after opening the box - which ROM should i choose. What i didnt realize is that i also went into the CDMA land after being gsm user for over 8 years. I want to make sure i am not going to brick my new diamond so please would someone review the steps i am about to take?:
1) install hard spl from here(http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35839)
2) which ROM would be compatible with CDMA version? Or it does not matter GSM or CDMA when it comes to ROMS?
3) Where (and should i) do i get a newest radio to upgrade(i assume GSM radios are not for me)
Any help will be appreciated!
Sucessfully flashed to Hard_Spl and the leaked official srpint 207xxx rom, so the question remains can i flash any ROM(like Jouicys or mightyrom) or do i have to look for CDMA only roms?
Hi all,
I have the HTC Dream, and my carrier is Rogers (I'm in Canada). As some of you know Rogers has made it clear that they will NOT be releasing OS updates. Because of this I want to root my phone and put on a 1.6 or a 2.0 ROM.
The ROMs made by cyanogen look cool, but I would prefer to put T-Mobile's 1.6 ROM onto my phone. Is this even possible? Will Rogers identify my phone? Will my voicemail/callerID still work?
If so where can I get a copy of the T-Mobile ROM, I'm presuming they don't post it on their website...
Thanks in advance!
Mark
anybody????
Why use that one?
Use cyanogen and follow this guide.
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Full_Update_Guide_-_Rogers_Dream_EBI1_to_CyanogenMod
Thats what I did on my rogers Dream
Because it seems like it would be more stable to use a stock OS. To me stability is more important than flashyness. Since absolutely no one on this forum knows if this is possible, I'm going to assume it is not
Hi all!
I have a CDMA Hero, that can run and is running Sprint branded ROMs with no issues. My service is through a regional carrier called Carolina West Wireless to make it clear, not Sprint. I've run several Sprint branded ROMs and currently have AOSP 2.3.2 without any issues with roaming or anything like that.
My question just is would the 2.42.02.10.29 radio update, as posted by theimpaler747, work for me? Reading through the threads I can't see where this has come up so I hope I'm not repeating a question.
Thanks!
I already upgraded this version radio, looks like no side effect and impact. But I don't know what improvement or bug fix for new version. BTW, I'm from China, using Carrier China Telecom.
AS long as you stick with a cdma hero radio, you can flash it fine. At one point, people here were even flashing a verizon radio from the eris, and it worked fine
Thanks for the responses, I flashed the new radio, no problem!

I just got back in the Android scene, would I flash the new SPL or the radio first onto my HTC Hero200? I'm just trying to protect myself and my phone before flashing these,I have the files downloaded and ready for flashing, just don't know if there is a specific order I'm supposed to flash. Any help is greatly appreciated!

What recovery are you using??
What files have you dl??? What radio did you dl?? What rom are you running???
Root/Hack-Mod_Always*

I am thinking of getting the HTC One for tmobile. Will I be able to flash a rom even if it is not specifically created for the tmobile version? Also, I guess the same question for root as well. Thanks a lot
i do know trickdroid works with most carriers

Hello everyone,
I'm currently In USA (I've been here for almost a year now.) and I have unlocked my Sprint HTC ONE M7 (Legally) and now I am confused about a few things,
1) Will the multi-carrier roms work on my phone now? I dont like any of the sprint version roms available!
2) Will I be able to install MultiROM on it?
3) Can I use GSM on my phone now? ( I want to switch to AT&T!)
4) Will it work just like a International HTC ONE M7? (As I'll be moving back to my country soon! )
Any help is appreciated!
Thank You!

Unfortunately the answer to these questions is No Sprint HTC one are very different to the International HTC one.
International roms will not work on a Sprint phone as they have a different Partition structure. Also Sprint use CDMA network instead of GSM. So you must stick to Sprint compatible Recovery's Rom's and Ruu's Anything else will soft brick the phone.
