i try to download the setting for internet n mms automaticly for my phone xperia x8 form operator...but the operator cannot detect type of my phone..does to use mms we should setting it manually?if yes..where i should do that??thanks...i really love gingerDX...i don't get any issues for mms while using stock rom...
You dont need settings for mms, just install gdx turn on your data and send

i don't know...if i can do like u..i think..i will not post here...i tried that before..but still get this problem..i also cannot send page more than 3 page..if i send more page than that..the receiver will not get it..but my phone say yes..i don't know why..
Not Working
the thing is even i enabled the data and 3G (which i switched to 2G as usual),MMS stil could nt sent out..need help . I'm on GingerDX v17 with LinuxDX v03.
I'm a proud owner of X8.
U can try to search the APN for ur operator on the web.
U can create new APN at setting ->wifi n network ->mobile network ->access point name(APN)

i had same issue before that my phone couldn't get the configuration from my provider, i made full wipe and re installed the kernel/Rom full wipe again and everything went well
You need new settings,that included in cm7 dont work-mms-,download from market apk- APN...name of you country and choose your provider and instal settings....and delete old

Sorry,
I correct my question.
I set up WiFi hotspots in P970, but my laptop (XP system) and any Android phone can not connect to it. Whether the security is open or WPA2.....
Do notebook see the phone. Maybe WiFi card in laptop is broken. When you use open set up laptop must to connect with the phone. Sometimes I using my phone like hot spot and I never had any problems with the phone . Maybe try other ROM.

I'm on stock kernel n installed gdx v028 yesterday.(Was using v026 earlier).
I'm having following issues:
1. Calendar wont let me add any agenda it says"you have no calendar"
2. Camera force closes and never opened
3. USB tethering gives error and doesn't connect.
4. YouTube is installed but I can't see it in my applications
Otherwise the rom is awesome with icsified settings.thanks to team gdx..
Please if anyone could help me out

For youtube it is frozen by titanium install titanium n try it..
Usb tethering addon is available that might solve..
For other two problem try cleaning up cache, partition n full wipe.. and flash alfs addon..

@sidhart Alfs addon is only for Alfs kernel user,not for stock kernel.Next time read carefully.
@abj x8 I know you are new to this forum but why you're not using the Search bar.I'm sure you do not watch this video.You make a new account and then make a new thread just to let other people know your problem and help you.Please,after this if you have any problem use the search bar.It was invented for reason.And all the bug list and solution for GingerDX are here.

How odd, I used a long time the GDX and never gave me problems
im not an expert.. noob ....i have tried the lewa os... ixperiaos. by SHINxLIEW the roms are great.. but these are the following problems i have encountered
1. i'm unable to use the wifi hotspot.. it just doesn't work
2. i get some force closes now and then .. a frog pic crying :/
3. this google playstore problem...i flashed the rom..factory clean etc etc then i start my W8 and then i click oin playstore but it says the app is not installed in your system.. even though im connected to the internet via a 2G connection.. i even deleted the google playstore and downloaded other version like 3.7 and 3.8 im able to start the market.. even start the download of a app but when it reachers 99% then i get this message google playstore has crashed ((((((((((( im able to use blakmart.... blapk etc but not google playstore
im using the Naa13 kernel.. pls reply soon SHINxLIEW or any other person who knows what im doing wrong

Absolute rubbish!
This is not happenning on ANY roms I use.. I do not use soft-modded roms.
@OP - Disregard the post by fotak-x - It's obvious he knows nothing about the roms here.
Try one of the roms in Original Android Development..
yet fotak-x has made it twice to the portal and you haven't. maybe OP hasn't installed it right? you are in no position to say fotak-x is wrong or has no knowledge. i'm in no position to say that you are either. so no offence but i think you guys should stop fighting.
im just saying that he should try that its the most problem of roms i just had same problem with market and thats how i fix it

Could be your DNS settings are screwed up and over writing the router's settings. Download set DNS and uninstall it from within the app. This will reset your DNS to the factory default settings.

on JB, but it has a solution on ICS so i went back to J
ICS and it works perfectly. I dont know wich is better :/ but i miss jb camara tough

The changes in my link reverts the driver settings in JB back to same as ICS.
Even though the driver itself might be different in JB, but following the instructions will set the settings identical to the ICS settings. I do not experience disconnections or problems to connect to certain access points anymore. Let me know what happens after you tried it.
Also, the instructions will work only if you have rooted your phone. Keep in mind to mount the system folder as Read/Write

I Have installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234221 (The ultimatum ROM) on my SGA and everything went fine, but i couldnt get data transfer for mobile phone internet, I tick on Mobile data transfer and it dont appears an icon of 3G or Edge on the status bar, please if somebody can help me, it will be a lot of help!
BTW, now im going V 3.0 to see if its that the problem. :good:

Sometimes this happens on The Ultimatum. Then you can't call someone/write a sms to someone and you dont have mobile data.
Only solution for me: reboot
