Hey, guys. Just got my Droid Bionic a few weeks ago and have it rooted with Deblurred rom running on it. Any tips or tricks you can give to someone who is just starting out? I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks guys.

I have a droid charge, and have no experience with LG's ....
My brother has a revolution running stock, and due to lag he wants root + room + kernel...
Now he has no idea on how to get any of this done, so he asked me ...
So I need help with:
-revolution rooting method step by step
-how to get a working version of CWM on the revolution (links please)
-Most stable ROM
-Most stable kernel
I know it is a lot to ask, but I will only have the phone with me for a couple of hours this weekend to get this done.
I will be thanking every helpful post, but i wanted to thank any help offered in advance.
Take a look in the development section. There are quite a few step by step procedures there.

as previously said, check the development section. check what version of GB your bro has, eg 2.3.4 or 2.3.6. if he has 2.3.4 its easy to root and flash everything. MT's guide as to do everything can lead the noobest noobs to very acceptable revo.

I asked him, and apparently he is on 2.3.4 ... so one question what would be a stable 2.3.6 rom at this moment for the revo? With what kernel?

Look in the DEVELOPMENT SECTION. Christ, how hard is it to read and comprehend really?

Or instead of being a jerk you could just of easily said the only ROM is the broken out ROM or whatever its called.
There is no need to be a jerk on here.

I honestly don't mind helping people. There are however two previous posts that direct him to the correct forum with all the answers he needs. I was putting it into words he could understand because obviously the last two posts trying to help were futile in their attempts. Not being a jerk, it's just not hard to find the info you need on here. It's not like it's a huge forum with 1,000's of posts to go through.

Got it done, and not thanks to your temper. All I asked was for a general recommendation of what ROM, Kernel, rooting method to use. I never had a LG Revolution, so I had no idea of the issues and bugs on Roms, kernel, or rooting methods for it .... If cant say anything useful just hold you 12 year old mouth shut!

Just use the Droid 4 Utility located in the dev section and follow the directions in that thread. Piece of cake.

I'm going to try this too but couldn't find the thread you were referring to. Could you post a link to it?
Thanks.

Have a look at this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammar
and this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syntax
When you've read these two, come back and edit your post. You're very unlikely to get any sort of help if you post stuff the way you did.
So helpful in this thread, cheers

Your as same rude as we helpful. So maybe think about that.
It isn't hard to write carefully, even for silly people..
If you don't want help, put your phone in microwave and turn on - happy bricking... :-$

Hi there.
I am keen to root my phone but am a newbie to the whole experience.
Could anyone direct me to the exact instructions required to root my N7000 (see detail attached)
Cheers, adam

Yep. Read the stickies and guides in this very forum and you will have all the info you need. Always make a backup and start experimenting!

Look at the PhilZ Kernel Thread. It is best root method available.

PJ147....what should I use to make a back up? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question, but I am a newbie.....also, in the past I've tried downloading roms but when it gets to the bit around extracting, because there's so many files, I get lost

You got already answers in your first thread four days ago related to the same question.
Why don't you follow the hints and given links to tutorial there?
And in April the same before.
And then one year ago in April 2012 again. And of course you made two threads even then.
Having fun with this method?

You will have the guy jumping out the window with the big brother act!
Lmbo you are 101%right though.
Dr Ketan has all he needs. Think he wants to post it to you to do.....

Dude spends over a year trying to figure out how to root when it takes about 30 minutes of reading stickies.

It's not a big brother, I'm right now trying to get slim again.
I got used to look into older postings of a member when he asks a question. Sometimes you'll get the necessary details from his older posts.
Example: why searching for a mistake in a Rom when someone whines about freezes when a post before he wrote that he OC'ed his Kernel to 1600?
But in this case I acted like a BB after seeing the repeated orgy: it was even fun to answer him with his own history.
By the way: he got the Dr. Ketan link already in 2012...
Clearly I'm asking these questions again because I didn't have any success rooting the 1st time round.
As for orgies?!? Maybe opening the door and breathing some air would help remind you there's a big world outside with lots going on.
I was looking for some help delivered to me in a beginner's language I understand, not grandiose frustration that I had the idiocy to ask the same questions

Since April 2012 members gave you the links to the tutorials all members used here. Most of them were beginners.
And if you didn't understand it after one year of trying you should consider not trying to root your device at all.
You might end in a bricked one.
For the record, I haven't been trying for a year, I tried twice.......(once managed to root but had problems afterwards, once, stopped trying as it became frustrating)
Maybe you should stop acting out your insecurities about yourself in a faceless blog and find peace with who you are

Look, in order to beeing able to help you it would be nice to tell us what rom you have got on your Note.
Starting with ICS (4.0.4) rooting is very simple. Just take a look in the settings what rom you have got and then head over to the PhilZ kernel thread in Original development. There you will find rooted kernels for all stock (Original) ICS or above roms. Dowmload the one matching your rom (choose the .zip version, not .tar). Then boot into stock recovery (press volume up, home and power buttons simultaneously) and flash the kernel. Bang, you got root. Not really difficult. What the hell have you been doing? I guess until today you have not really bothered reading the tutorials and threads. Because everything is explained there and all of us had start too by reading a lot. Good luck.

You can get your hands on some of the custom ROMs, and flash them. But be sure to carefully read the thread of the ROM like what recovery is safe to flash it,etc. Also remember to wipe data, factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache before you flash a ROM. Enjoy!

How do I overclock my Samsung Exhibit. T599n? I purchased it at MetroPCS 2 days ago and rooted using Cydia Impactor. I do not know much of anything about this device. So first I need to find out if it is possible to overclock.
I appreciate any input.
Since this forum is for the T679, you won't find much help here. As far as I know they don't have a dedicated forum on XDA for your phone. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Ok. It's there... General disussion of the T599n. Now I have some info! And some reading to do.
Today I reformatted my 32GB sd card on my computer. Then I was able to use it again. Then I reinstalled Busybox, then opened the AParted app. Made 2 partitions and rebooted. Then I opened Link2sd, set primary partition as EXT4. Rebooted. Opened LINK2SD again and linked all non-system files. Haven't tested it yet. Will get back with how it's working.
