Moboplayer - HD2 Android Themes and Apps

Hello, i would like to know what character set i should choose to correctly display subtitles for Czech republic (central/eastern Europe). There are some chinese/korean characters displayed instead of certain characters in czech (like č, š, ř etc). Thanks for your feedback.

Well, that strongly depends on the subtitles themselves.
If your subtitles are in the SRT format, that means they are just a text file with a fancy file extension
And said text file can be saved using several text encodings - for example UTF-8 or Windows-1250. It would be best to find out what encoding was used to save the file and change the MoboPlayer's settings accordingly. Or you can just convert the file into UTF-8 and be done with it
If you are on Windows, you can do this by using Notepad:
1. Open the SRT file in notepad
2. Select "Save as..." from the "File" menu
3. File type set to "All files". The file name must end with ".srt"
4. "Encoding" combobox is displayed to the left of the "Save" button. Select UTF-8 and save the file.
5. Copy the subtitles to your phone and enjoy the movie

I like mobo player. It's great with nice screen, and easy to find a video

MP3 Ringtone

Hi
I have a QTEK 2020i and I don't find a way to setup a mp3 ringtone.
If in file explorer I found a .wav or .mid I can open the shortcut menu and there is an option "Set as Ringtone". But with a mp3 file such option doesn't appear.
Also on Start/Settings/System/Add Ring Tone, mp3 files are not listed.
I finally tried to copy a mp3 file into \windows\rings directory.
The file appears in Start/Settings/Personal/Phone but doesn't play.
How can I set a mp3 file as a ringtone?
My regards
Ruka
use file explorer and navigate to Windows>Rings and drop ur mp3 into there
Hi
As I wrote on my first post, I've already tried that solution.
If I copy a mp3 file to windows\rings, it will appear as a ringtone (in Phone in Settings), but if I select it, it is rejected (it won't play, and when I press ok it will revert to Windows default ringtone).
I've seen on other posts that other people can setup a mp3 ringtone, but I can't. I wonder if it is some additional software release by some mobile phone company.
My regards
R.
hope this will help you.....
Don't work
Sorry.
Download and install then on the 2020i.
Even tried with a reset.
Nothing changes. Still can't set a mp3 file as a ringtone.
Where did you get these files: they say Helmi Mp3 RingTones.
Is there a site where I can check if there is another version of them?
Thanks anyway
Use a registry editor, then locate:
1) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.mp3 - Default = WMAFile
2) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMAFile\DefaultIcon - Default = wmplayer.exe,-2001
3) HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\WMAFile\Shell\Open\command - Default = wmplayer.exe "%1"
It worked!!!
Actually I only had to change the first registry setting, (.mp3 - Default = WMAPlayer).
The other two settings were already there!!
And it worked!!!
I have PocketMusic installed and the .mp3 default setting pointed to it.
I always wonder why if those equipment could support mp3, why I couldn't set one as a ringtone.
The only thing that is still different (from the .wav or .mid files), although not important at all for me, is that I still don't have the "set as a ringtone" in the shortcut menu when I click on a mp3 file. I guess that via registry that could also be set.
Thank you very much
Ruka
Done that too!!!
Hi
I search the registry for the string "Set as ringtone"
and found it at
HKCR\wavfile\Shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\{E88B4 ... }
with the values:
Default = Set as ringtone
DelayLoad = 1
Then I created the same structure inside HKCR\WMAFile.
Since
HKCR\WMAFile\Shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\{E88B4... }
were already there (although witn no contents), I only had to create the values Default (as string) and DelayLoad (as number)
Thank you all again
Ruka
Is it possible to have Ogg files as ringtones ?
u can set mp4 files as ring tones.
i converted my fav mp3 to mp4 using nero wave editor.
copy the your_music.mp4 to any folder and right click set as ring-tone
it'll tell u that it has copied your music to the windows\rings folder
and thats it :d
i don't even have settings-syste-set as ringtone and i can use my wav music only with sms not with incoming call, help?

this worked great even with TCPMP assigned to mp3... thx!
okay so this broke again... solution was not change .mp3 to wmafile but look down for registry key "wmafile" and there is "shellex" key or something. I've copied that key to "mp3file" key and so it works with whatever association.

default video player for IE

how do i change the player for streaming video to TCMCP. I'm running WM6.1
no one? is it possible?
I think you have problems getting answers because they are there already to find by searching.
Depends on the video type. The easiest way is to try launching a video. Then using a advanced files explorer like Resco, navigate to \My Documents. There you will probably find a playlist file with a .m3u extension.
Again with an advanced file explorer like resco, you click & hold on it, the select open with, then browse to the player .exe you wish to use, then check the box that say "Always use this prograsm for this file type".
You're done.

[Q] How can I change default applications? Like "Open with"

As like many of you i have installed f.e. rockplayer to play videofiles.
When i use a file explorer s.a. astro or es fileexplorer and i like to open a videofile listed on the sd card, i would like like this file to be openend by rockplayer by default. Or give me the possibility to choose from every player installed. Sometimes a popupmenu appears, but no rockplayer or other players installed are there.
Can rockplayer acces my network shares and play the video files from there?
Coreplayer undr w.m.6.5 can do that.
Eager to see solutions.
Freek
I would to know this also, i have the same issue
Go to settings->Applications->Managed Applications->All (The Tab on top) and find the application that is currently the default for the operation you had in mind. Click it and find the button "Clear defaults".
Next time you try to open/run the file you want, the phone will ask for the desired application to do the job and give you viable options. (Adobe Reader and ThinkFree Office for .pdf files for example)

Video and Audio Playback/Conversion

I originaly made this in the S7 section so i hope that the ops delete that one.
There are alot of guides around for converting movie files so they can be played back on S7/Gear VR some of them might actualy work but ive noticed that alot of the guides forgets to mention the audio output when they convert they only tell you about the video so to remedy this ill write down my experience..
1. Most guides tell you correcly about the video formats
2. Most guides don´t tell you that AC-3 won´t work. Only AAC and MP3 works.
3. First i thought avidemux would be perfect but apparently it cant read the complete audiostream on the files iv´e tested with no matter what audio settings i used in avidemux the output file ended up without speech.
4. So. Download ffmpeg
5. Put your video file in the ffmpeg\bin folder or add a path to the environment variable.
6. Open a cmd in your ffmpeg\bin folder and paste this line
ffmpeg -i YOURFILENAME.mkv -c:v copy -c:a aac OUTPUTFILENAME.ACC.mkv
7. After the conversion is done the output file should play correctly on your S7/Gear VR
8. Last note i have only tested this with movies that have an AC3 stream but it should work for other audio streams.
A little followup 1..
I thought it was a hazzle to install Emby or any other dnla client and milkvrlauncher just to watch local media in milkvr(And im not even supposed to have access to milkvr for that matter..) so i went the easy way and simply installed Abyss webserver added the mkv file extension and added my media files to the htdoc folder and now i simply open the local web adress in the samsung internet browser and it lists all the files and folders i have in the htdoc folder and i can can watch what ever file i put in the htdoc folder.
A little followup 2..
If you Install Milk VR and then Milkvrlauncher you can get the weblinks to open in Milk VR.

You can make a batch file and save it to the folder were your media files are.
Add this line in the bat file and save it in the media folder.
for %%a in ("*.mkv") do ffmpeg -i "%%a" -c:v copy -c:a aac "FOLDER_WERE_THE_CONVERTED_FILES_SHOULD_BE_SAVED\%%~na.mkv"
pause
Save it and when you run the bat file it will convert all files in the folder.

How to extract text, jpg, 3gp, qcp and other embedded data from MessageStore Files?

I have a backup of the MessageStore from my old Touch Diamond phone from this location: \Application Data\PictureMail\MessageStore
If I edit the files in Notepad++, I am able to see that each file has a combination of embedded files within them. (Most of them have a text body, many have a JPG or 3GP attachment embedded in them.) If I manually guess/hack at the file saving off data I am able to get some working 3gp and JPG files, but this a slow and tedious process.
Does anyone have a tool that can parse these files and quickly pull out the text messages and any embedded attachments on my Windows PC? I've tried searching but can't seem to come up with anything. There is nothing critical in the data, but I would like to save off any media files. I've come across a few pictures of family from these text messages and although the quality isn't very good, it's nice to have these files back.
Any help, please?
TotalCommander is what you are looking for. Copy files to the 4GB partition and thenn you can copy to your PC.
