Has any found a good source for spare batteries yet?
Always had good luck with the chinese knock offs.
While I'm on the subject, I wonder why HTC didn't just share batteries with the Sensation and Evo 3d????
<Removed>
I just did some searches on eBay for HTC Raider battery and found a bunch for sale. The model number of the battery is the same as the Vivid (I pulled out my battery and checked), so it should work fine. Pretty cheap too, they had some for like $15.98 for 3 batteries + wall charger.
I just ordered some batteries on amazon and it includes the charger. I would give you guys the link but im too new to submit links lol. Search this "Hyperion AT&T HTC Vivid 4G 2 x Battery + Charger" and you sohuld be able to find it!

Just recieved my batteries from amazon, they are 1800mah, and provide 220mah more juice than the stock battery.
I haven't noticed honestly a change in battery performance, but hell I got three of them now.

Does that charging dock that it comes with come in handy at all? And how easy is it to swap batteries when they are drained? Is it just as simple as turning off the phone, swap, turn it back on, fresh battery? Thanks! My white vivid is supposed to come in today!

But wow. That thing is yuk. I can say I will definately not be putting that on my Vivid.

I bought a pack of two 1800 mAh batteries and a wall charger from Amazon. See my testing results in this thread:

The point is that you get the most battery while still being able to use the stock battery cover and normal cases for the device.
Just ordered from amazon:

Anyone ever heard it tried before? I'm thinking for the price I'm not gonna expect much. But hey, a battery wall charger, lol.

I've really wanted to get a bigger battery, not necessarily a bigger phone. I was looking up videos on youtube, and I found a guy who actually bought one of those verizon silicon cases and used that instead of having a new backing for his phone because the battery was so much bigger. Do you guys really find not having to charge your phone for 20-30 hours worth the extra cover and stuff? I'm sure it's not an option for everyone, but why bother with that if you can just charge it sometime in between? Car chargers are cheap, and there should be some time of sleep between 20-30 hours of you using your phone (you know, where you could be charging it). Also, what is the biggest battery you can get without requiring an extra case?
The 2150 mah battery is perfect for me. The new back protects the camera lense and the leds. I have also noticed that I can hold the phone by the extended back and it feels more comfortable then before. It doesn't add that much weight and the phone is still pretty slim. Obviously I also get improved battery life as well.
I have been using the 1750 battery and it improved my battery life from 6-8 hours to 9-12ish, which is perfect for me. I just needed to make it through the work day and the regular size works for me.
I couldn't go to a bigger battery, since I have a case that works for me and I don't want to change.

My 2 cents... I have the 2150. I still go through it once or sometimes twice a day. I dont like the way it feels in my front pocket and the fact there isn't much at all if any accessories that will fit it. I just ordered (4) 1500mah batteries and 2 charges off of eBay for a whopping $20. shipped. I can use the 2150 when I am out and not near a charger or just sell it and carry extra 1500's if needed.

At that price, it sounds like you bought some off-brand garbage. While I hope that's not the case, could you please confirm/deny? What brand are these batteries?
I need the extra battery...was out today using the stock one and was dead after 5 hours (3 hours I was using My Tracks on my run). I don't care about accessories, I just need it to not run out of charge.
I find the extra ummph in the 2150 battery to be worth the lil bulge in the back....modded a silicon case with a cutout to let the excess...works pretty well and couldnt be happier...the only downfall i found so far is the charge time is nearly 4 hrs from a completely dead battery...never really timed it but it takes a while, but worth it.

I'm not sure which one he's using, but I'm using the Seido 1750. My battery life is...decent, I guess. If I bump charge. After reading so many threads on battery life for Android phones and, specifically, HTC Android phones, I'm left wondering a few things:
1. Since HTC seems to have issues charging batteries fully...if we're wiping Battery Stats appropriately (assuming you are rooted), does the phone actually "register" that it's got such a large battery to charge? Or is the phone so stupid that it stops charging it at a 1500's capacity?
2. When apps sync their data, is Android OS smart enough to have them sync at the same time? Or, does my 30 minute Facebook sync occur 10 minutes after my 30 minute Twitter sync, etc.?
New to the forums guys, it was a round-about way I got my Incredible, extended battery, and seidio battery but here is my opinion on this. If you're not gonna use it heavily throughout the day then you can get away with the 1500/1750 batteries. But if you think you're gonna get some solid use out of the phone for a day, you don't want to have to charge it throughout the day, or you don't want to have to rush home and charge it before you go out then you should get an extended battery. Using both over the past week to see which one I want to stick with, the extended is just more convienient since I don't have to think about how much battery i'm at and remember to put it on a charger.
There is a guy on here who modified his case to accommodate the 2150 battery and after seeing that I think that's what i'm gonna do. If you can get the extended cheap then definitely go for it, its just more freedom in my opinion.
Why do you want to go to an Incredible? I thought the X was a better device. Just too big? I have yet to see an Evo or X so I have know idea how big these things are.

did you get lost? your in the Incredible section of the forum, so there will bee a predominant amount of Dinc users here.
And I'd rather have an Incredible over that piece of Moto anyday
I recently bought a 2700mAh extended battery. I don't mind the extra thickness, it allows me to get a better grip on it. As for battery life its great. With the stock battery I could barely make it through 8hours at work. With the new battery I have made it 10hours and counting. I have had GPS, Sync, WiFi, and max screen brightness on all day and only at 73%. Made a few phone calls, and a few Twitter updates. Was worth it.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
No I didn't get lost. I was just curious what he did not like about the X. I would rather have an X but HTC phones are much easier to hack. A Dinc hacked on to Sprint Sero is hard to say no too. I would have done an Evo but used prices on an EVO are still ridiculous and I'm waiting for HTC sort out it's display issues.
Back to the topic at hand. I'm liking my Seidio 1750. With some tweaks I'm getting better battery life then my 3GS got. I make it through a whole day of moderate usage (some web, some streaming and 5-10 calls) and still have 20% at bed time. So I'm quite happy. Someone did point out a thread on Android Central. I won't return the battery but it did dampen my spirits a little.
http://androidforums.com/accessories-incredible/119578-battery-testing-results.html
I have had the 3500, for a week. Lasts 2x the 1750 (have one) and the door design is more rugged and protects the lens well.
Worthy purchase.
I had the HTC 2150mah and returned it. I just couldn't live with the bulk.
I bought both 1750 and 2150 from HTC Pedia. They are both HTC BRAND batteries. They both work well and add work time to my INCREDIBLE. Don't buy anything but brand and you will be happy! I found HTC PEDIA to be the best place to buy accessories for my phone!

Hello all, I just got a droid incredible and I'm super disappointed with the battery life, I had a moto droid and got this phone as a replacement, the battery drains sooooo quickly its pretty ridiculous, HTC could've easily popped in a 1500 mah battery for us. Well anyways, I was looking for a replacement battery for the inc.
Paying 50 dollars for a battery is unacceptable in my eyes, I just want to use the standard case but have a little extra boost.
I found these on ebay:

wondering if anyone has tried them out? you can buy one for 7 bucks so I think it's a good deal just to try them out for awhile and see if they perform well. I'll be ordering some soon and post my results.
Anyone else thinking about these batteries or already purchased one?
Any cheap battery from china always dies super fast after a couple of weeks .....i know because I bought like 7 batteries from china and they all sucked. I second this - not for phones, but we bought some super cheap chinese batteries off amazon for our canon camera. THey lose their charge in less than a week of non-use. Basically useless for backup batteries.

I have one of those, and routinely get 4-5 hours of active use out of it. 18 up/5 awake just yesterday.
Also remember to charge the battery while the phone is OFF for maximum charge, if you plan to use it to full capacity.

I have one of those 3000mah batterys from ebay, like 12 shipped. The rear case turns the incredible from a phone into a phone/hockey puck hybrid. Its awesome. I get amazing battery life. With mild usage, ive gone 52 hours on a single charge (bump charged). Yesterday, i spoke on the phone for ~2 hours, played mp3s on the phone connected to a sound system for ~4 hours, plus lots of text, LOTS of playing Angry Birds, uploading pictures to flickr and more, and when i got home i had 62% still. Avoid the Seidio 1750 battery. Someone on Android Central did a discharge test of the HTC 1500 and the Seidio battery and the results came back almost identical. Seidio claims their battery gets better after a few charges but if both use the same chemistry then so will the HTC 1500. I'm not saying that the Seidio is a bad battery just saying its over priced. Just look for an OEM Touchpro2 1500mah battery.
FYI: I bought a Seidio battery before I read the thread. I'm not upset just next time I will do more research before being from them again.
I bought the HTC OEM 1500. They're available on eBay and Amazon for $15 or less available in red and black =P so far its a lot better than the 1300. Good info in the forum

I think it's hit and miss with Chinese-made batteries...
For example, last year I bought four Chinese generic li-ion batteries for my Canon DSLR. When I moved, I misplaced two of the batteries. I found them about two months ago and they still had three out of three bars of charge (could be anywhere from 100%-67% charge, not sure). But that was not bad, I thought, for sitting idle, off the charger, for eight months.
I also picked up a generic 9-cell battery for my Dell XPS last year. $20. It still, a year later, can run the laptop for a good four hours or so. Solid battery.
But, I've seen evidence on this site and others about Chinese manufacturing of counterfeit batteries and memory cards and other devices that will give me reason to think twice in the future... The gent at http://batteryboss.org/ will open your eyes pretty quickly. There are even photos of batteries with their plastic casing, which states 1500mah, only having an 1100mah cell. Ridiculous.
i bought an OEM HTC EVO 1500mah off ebay, there are a bunch now....i paid 16 bucks...
here is one llink

here are 2 for 26
http://cgi.ebay.com/ORIGINAL-OEM-15...Accessories&hash=item3a5f725ba4#ht_726wt_1140
why buy cheap chinese batts when you can get oem for a little more, not 50 bucks either...the 1500 lasts me ALL day, with heavy use...hour and half commute...twice, browsing, forums....games, you name it...i do have 2 cheapie chinese batts just for an extra boost if i find myself away too long, but they are only if i run out of my HTC juice, which is very rare

I dunno about other phones but I use like a $3 battery from ebay and the only difference is it runs out very very fast when you use wifi, gps, 3g etc etc. But you can get official ones (from memory) for like $20 or so.. The only reason I use the 2nd battery is cause I also bought a battery charger from ebay. So basically when one battery runs out I stick the fresh one in, and then stick the dead battery in the charger and plug it into the wall. That way I never have to wait for my phone to be charged, never have to plug it in, and yeah its basically always alive haha
Wow, it actually freakin works. Well, thanks for that! Say, has anyone ever seen official HTC batteries anywhere?

I brought a Mugen Power Battery for the HTC Legend, and then came across these two off Ebay, comes with 2 batteries, and an external 'dock' charger for the battery (NOT THE PHONE), they're 1500mah I believe so a bit more the stock Legend battery but not as much as Mugen, but I'll be using the Ebay batteries in case of emergancy if my battery runs out in the day and I need to go out at night.

They claim 2340mah, which seems like a lot and it's not expensive. I'm tempted to try it for that kind of money.
I'd be very cautious about that, it is nearly twice the capacity which is very hard to believe given the dimensions...Li-Ion / Li-Pol technology couldn't get that far in those two years Legend is out

I recently Purchased this battery for my evo, but the battery is only compatible with the older htc phones. The battery is brand new. price is $15. that includes shipping!!!!
Are you sure it fits the Hero?
It's definitely too thick to use without a different battery cover, I think.
yes the battery fits the hero, and you are also correct in needing a different battery cover. The battery is about the same thickness as a seidio 3500 so you could probably get a cover for one of those and then have an actual htc extended battery for your phone. I have two of these batteries by the way.

You are correct the hero and evo do share the same 1500mah battery. But the htc 2150mah doesn't register with the evo so the evo will not charge the battery. They work just fine in a Touch pro 2 and a Hero. the reason i bought these batteries cause i knew the hero 1500mah batteries work just fine in the evo. so i bought these which were listed as extended batteries for the hero and touch pro 2. The battery fits and powers my evo just fine, but since the battery doesn't register with the phone it wont charge it. If i put the batteries in an external charger they work in my evo perfectly(annoying). THESE FIT MY EVO, SO THERE FOR IT WILL FIT YOUR HERO!!!! YOU WILL NEED AN BIGGER BATTERY DOOR AS THESE ARE AT LEAST TWICE THE SIZE OF THE 1500MAH!!!!! BATTERY IS ABOUT THE SAME SIZE AS A SEIDIO 3500 EXTENDED BATTERY!!
Included some more pics. Left batt. is a rebranded seidio 3500mah, middle is the 2150mah htc battery, right is the stock evo battery.
sorry, didnt see in the 3rd post where you said you need a bigger battery cover, hence why i was under the impression it would fit. id like to keep my otterbox case so im gonna pass, but thanks, great price

I still have both! so i don't think it will be a problem. Not much interest in these for some reason. But like I said $15 per battery is pretty good. lol If there not gone soon im gonna start posting these in the other part of the forums. This battery fits a boat load of older htc phones.
I would buy it as soon as someone finds a back cover that I could use with my hero. I don't know where to get a back cover like that, and I don't feel like trying to find it, I doubt I would. With that battery all my battery issues would go away lol.

Does anyone have experience with the Motorola BF6X battery? Is it a legitimate OEM battery?
I purchased one from the following eBay user, but I've seen it around on other places. I will let you guys know how it is once I've got it, but I'd like feedback from others ...

I've had great luck with mine so far (1 week). Ordered 2 batteries with an in-wall charger for around 10-15 bucks. Can't beat it.

Those batteries aren't the same at all ... They are cheap knockoffs with probably half the rated capacity.
I bought mine at a verizon store. After I updated to 5.6.890 I monitored batt life. Had 40% @29th hour from the first full charge (had 70% when I bought it). Wrote it down, but can't find the stat. I was trying for 48hr. Fell short by 4 or 6 hrs.? Played XGalaxy2, Txt, Email, Tweaking, little broswering. lol . I'm using a live wallpaper now so thats using energy. ps. debloated.

I agree. Get the one from Verizon. You need the new battery door. I'm using one since I received the phone, still don't get anywhere near the rated phone specifications of 300 hours standby/550minutes usage. However, the battery does make a difference for me.
The inductive charger is also a nice accessory and works with the extended battery.

I got mine from amazon (the us site I mean), payed it 29 USD + 5 euros to ship it to italy (via a proxy service).
I just ordered a genuine Motorola 1930mAh battery; I've heard too many bad things about the generics and knock-offs to buy one of those. I would avoid them.
Can you buy genuine Motorola batteries for D3 that are bigger than 1930mAh (I mean bigger power-wise, not physically)?

Hmm... Anker? Is this a reliable brand? It doesn't look much thicker than the 1930mAh battery. 0.o

hi, I bought this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP...52&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:US:1123#ht_4390wt_902
It doesn't state that it comes with a new battery door... were you able to fit your battery cover on your phone with your new BF6X batterY??
or does anyone else who purchased a similar item know?
You can fit the battery in under the stock cover
but if you live in a hot area there wont be room for the battery to expand and that could cause problems

A battery of that size and capacity won't expand than the thickness of a sheet of paper. If it expands noticablly, you'd be facing a serious risk of explodsion whether if you're using the extended back or not.
