Hello
i really miss the option to change the order of the song on the fly when i listen to an album. i use it frequently, in CM7 you could just touch the album art pic and get in to the album song list and could take the last song for example and put it second without creating playlist or change the original order of the album
is there an ICS player mod that let you do that
if not how do i use the player from GB CM7
thanks
Check out Music Mod in the market. If you want a more ics themed player search for cm9 music player. Its not in the market yet, but you can find the apk online. Both have the feature you mentioned.
Also for future reference, posts like this should go in the question and answer section. They will tend to get more responses and less flames. Good luck.
Hi all,
I am now having difficulties to add music folders onto the stock music player on gal not.
Currently i am using poweramp it is much easier, but i have issue when playing a song then the poweramp gets hung. It cannot skip and need to reboot the phone.
If anybody out there can help me please share me the knowledge.
Thank you
BR
Where are your music folders?
I have the opposite problem. The stock player includes every MP3 file on my phone, but some of my MP3s aren't music and I don't want them in the music player.
The stock player should just scan your whole phone and include any MP3s it finds. I don't think there is a way to tell it which folders to include or ignore.
Add a .nomedia file in the folders it shouldn't include.
@beanr2s
Open stock music player - menu - setting - music menu - check mark on folder
thats it.
im just curious about recently added in music player
why is not functioning?
Hi,
I'm guessing that you're probably on the Stock ROM. Right?
Also, could you explain your problem a little more to us because you haven't gone into much detail as to what your problem is.
Thanks!
If u cnt find music in the recently added list ,click on music player ,menu , refresh.
change music player, good pro player
Recently added list is the list of your new added music file transferred from PC/other phone or just recently downloaded from any website .

I am having this common problem whenever I flash a new rom
Currently my music is sorted by date added (descending) which is a common playlist found on most music players.
This allows me to see my most latest added songs at the top of the list so I can listen to them on the bus, tram, etc
Problem is that when I flash a new rom this playlist gets mixed up and my songs are no longer categorized by date
This leads to a confusion of which songs I have added because they no longer appear at top of list
How can I maintain this list when flashing new roms?
Maybe it works if you make a playlist on your computer and then copy the this playlist with a media player

Hello everybody!
I'm using SGS GB 2.3.6
My problem is that every time I copy new file to the microSD card, after scanning the phone, the stock player does not recognizes which file is added recently and which is not, so each time everything is messed up and I'm browsing the folders for the files that I've just added and I'm playing them using the Sound player. When I sort the files by date, everything is messed up in the Music player after the phone scan.
I was wondering how to make the Sound player in Galaxy S I9000 running as a background process just like the Music player is developed.
I have tried both free and paid players but I don't liked their designs and functionality as far as I really like the simplicity of the stock SGS player.
How do you manage to browse your recently added files through the stock Music Player in Galaxy S I9000?
I'd really appreciate your help if someone help me to fix that?

Hey,
In the stock music player, under playlists there should be one named "Recently Added"

Thank you for the answer!
Yes there is such an option, but the problem is that I couldn't sort the files by this criteria.
When I copy some music files to the card or phone memory, after the media scan, all the files are completely messed up and recently added are all of my files I have, which are added long time ago, you know, instead of 2-3 recently added files I have e.g. 200 'new' + 2-3 (really new)...

I believe its supposed to do that. The Recently Added playlist displays all your music, just sorted by the time it was added to your SD. So your new songs will obviously be at the top, and everything else will be at the bottom as you go down.
If you're talking about the songs not being sorted by time however, I'm not quite sure. I have had that happen where albums I added two years ago were suddenly near the top of the list- it might be a bug or something.
