Stock Theme
Deodexed
NoCIQ compliant (friendly)
Thank you to k0nane for the NoCIQ, xBTx for the deodexed ROM.
Thank you to Ed H for testing it for me and providing the screen shot for vertical battery mod.
Thanks to mis3 for providing the screen shot for horizontal mods.
:: What did we do to enable CRT? ::
First I'm not going to explain the use of APK Manager or APK Tool because if you don't understand how to use them then you need search out the various threads here at XDA on how to use them. Dreamsforgotten has a nice write up on the basic use of it stickied here in the Themes section.
Next grab your stock deodexed Gingerbread ROM or " framework-res.apk " to be more exact.
De compile the framework-res.apk using Apk Manager 4.7/4.9/5.02 or APK Tool.
Navigate to res/values/bools.xml and open using Notepad ++ and go to line 16.
Code:
<bool name="config_animateScreenLights">true</bool>
You need to change the " true " to " false ".
Save the file, and then re compile the framework-res.apk and push or flash it back to your device.
Make sure you go to Settings>Display>Animations>SHOW ALL ANIMATIONS
Thats it in a nutshell....

:: Update ::
Added a second optional battery mod. Its a horizontal battery mod and should be much easier to see/read than the original I post.
Added a 3rd version....
Stock Theme w/Battery Mod and CRT.
OK, I'll give it a shot with screenshots of option #3. Any chance you could do an option of the battery mod with a green circle battery? The white on green is tough to read.

Thank you for the screenshot.
I will see what I can come up with.. I see many others are doing mods already which I expected so there will be much to go around.
I flashed version 2 with CRT but the CRT doesn't seem to be working. Does it need to be enabled or is it suppose to be enabled automatically?

Sure you downloaded the correct one? I just downloaded it and checked the file to make sure the variable was correctly changed.
It should work, were only changing a variable from true to false to make it work.

Well as I stated in the OP this is based on the first deodexed stock build that was thrown out with No CIQ... So if you were running any ROM or theme that had something other than stock done to it this will break it as I stated in the OP.

It's fancy widgets, pro version (free months ago from Amazon FAOTD). The widget is 4x1, style 3. The clock skin is Yankees (by NYkrinDC) but I turned off the flip clock style and switched to classic style. The weather skin is Fancy Weather Classic.
I had someone flash both CRT enabled versions and they verified it does work.
Just a heads up..
Same issue here, crt off works but power menu is broken to the point where the launcher force closes and the phone restarts I'm using the stockish deodoxed ei22 gingerbread rom.

Thats because they have mods in place for the extended power menu which are conflicting with this earlier stock build before they added the extended power menu.
I may go in later and update these battery mods to support the extended power menu option.
Update

I just updated the vertical mod #1, to support Stock/Deodexed/NoCIQ/Battery Mod & it supports the Extended Power Menu mod.
Looking for someone to test flash and report back

This is not an official release by anyone associated with rubiX.. This is an update I simply put together for myself that I thought everyone would like.
First and foremost I want to thank drod2169 for giving us such a wonderful ROM without it this update wouldn't exist...
This update is for rubiX 1.6 and rubiX 1.6 only. If you install this update on any other ROM it can and probably will break your phone.
Disclaimer... I take not responsibility for what you or this update does to your phone, use at your own risk...
This update includes:
- The lowmemorykiller mod - No longer included, as it was implemented in Rubix 1.6
- Hosts file mod
- rounded corners on the status-bar (cause thats how I like it ) - No longer included, as it was implemented in Rubix 1.6
- updated the Car Home with the new one released by Google that allows customization - Note - after installing this your carhome app will be hidden unless you dock your phone in the car dock.

- added the R2D2 notification ringtone from FlyX (cause I use and love it) - credit to mrbirdman

- updated to include a Black Google Voice - (credit me) - If you want to install this you will need to navigate to your /sdcard/JARubix folder and manually install it.
- updated to include a Black Google Talk - (Credit me)
On both the Black GVoice an the Black GTalk I did use "thebowers" "Black N Bold" talk.apk to assist me in making the changes needed..... so I want to make sure I give him credit too!
New in 0.2
- Battery now works in 10% increments.. - (Credit me) - See last screenshot (notice the 70%) No longer included, as it was implemented in Rubix 1.6
New in 0.3

New in 0.4
Updated to support RubiX 1.6
New in 0.5
Small tweaks to the Black Google Talk - Credit me and also Jack_R1
Small tweaks to the Black Google Voice - Credit me
Added the reboot option from Fission - Credit AngDroid - Notice you will need to reinstall the bootstrap after this to avoid booting into recovery on every reboot.
Themes
If you install Rubix themes on this update you will lose the ability to get battery updates in 10% increments!!!
To help in the mean time I have ported my black status bar theme from Fission... Much of this theme was taken from TranQ 3.8 Black so I want to make sure I give credit to P3Droid for his work...

Black Status Bar
Oh... and "Yes" the Black GTalk and GVoice will work on any 2.2 ROM but the GTalk will need to be installed via an update or through adb push....
Updated with 10% increments for the battery in the status-bar
so this is an update not a full rom right//?
How did you do the battery? If I meta morphed a icon that supported 10% readings will it still work?

I kinda jumped ship when AngDroid said he wasn't going to support the DX. Although I am thinking about installing the Fission to get JARUPDATE updated, maybe a day or two from now.
Thanks for the mod to the rockin' Rubix 1.6. Looks great, can't wait to try it out.
Also, the link to the Black Status Bar theme is giving me a "404 Not Found".

No, I can't find the correct XML value to change. I changed the text color for TW Softkey... no change. Then i did TWmenusmall... also no change. Those two were both in twframework-res.apk, i couldn't find any values in framework-res that looked like they were relavent to the problem.
In other news, started working on more aosp-like version of this and it's looking good so far in my opinion. keeping the transparent pulldown of course.
Nice job!
I would like to add that I think the XML issues likely lie within Framework-res. I think if you search inside the folder for xmls consisting of whatever light colored background image is, you'd be able to find it (decompile framework-res first). If I get a chance, I'll check for it.
Thanks for bringing this back, I hope it gets more action than previously. Also, inside twframework-res, I think the original v1 of my theme had no transparency on the notification backgrounds, which may look better (I added 50% transparency, and I honestly think now that it's too much.)

I actually just found it last night in styles.xml. It was called TextAppearance.Widget.IconMenu.Item or something like that. But thank you. And thanks for the other tips. I actually liked the amount transparency you put on the notification bar. I guess for some reason I like to see what's underneath it. We did lower the transparency of the actually items on the notification bar though --the grey bars whatever they're called.
Very nice theme. I've always wanted a green styled notification bar. Currently flashed back to syndicateROM default theme, but will re-flash once black-on-black menu issue is fixed

We have the menu text color fixed but if you hit "more" on any menu, that window still has the problem so it wont be long now. As soon as that's fixed we'll update the OP with the new link.
Edit: fixed. OP update coming whenever flimsy gets on.

do I need to do something special to run this? i have a fresh ec05 install. after i flash this theme and reboot, I press the power button to get to the lock screen, I get the vibrate notice thing where it vibrates 1x and then 2x quickly. Then the homescreen keeps rebooting.
Ive re-downloaded the file 3x
You need to be deodexed. Flash these in this order:
Wipe 3x, flash this
http://db.tt/bnopj3J
Reboot
Reboot to recovery flash this:
http://db.tt/Ot6Vobm
Then reboot
Reboot to recovery one more time, and follow theme instructions.

Why this rom is based in XXLA2? The newest roms are sucks to create custom rom? This rom has latest Rafaels kernel? The toggle buttons like acecream rom look be better than stock. If you fix the bugs i'll test your rom . Anyway thx for credits to me . Sorry for my bad english.
Hope to see the download link soon:laugh:....btw no battery%???

Sounds great, but what do you mean "JellyBean Lock (download Holo Locker From Market)". Because on any rom (from what I know) can have JellyBean Lock if we download Holo Locker. Does this rom have something in plus, or what? It would be great if so...

Oh, thanks for the fast answer. Yes, I knew that. I just thought this rom has it's own lockscreen type, or something. I wish somebody would develope someday a really nice lockscreen (the rotary and other look boring at max), like Holo Locker, but integrated into the rom (in framework-res.apk, or something). Using a custom application for locksceen may cause problems (batterry drain - or like in my case Holo Locker does not always load, after pressing hardware button for lock I have to wait aprox. 30 seconds for Holo Locker to load, If I immediately press menu button, I can see that my phone it's not locked. Only after a few seconds it is.).
Thanks for developing a new rom for our S5830i.

I like the font used by "einst31n" in his theme for our phone.

Well i tried and flashed it 3-4 times on stock and on KyleOpen ROM both and is working fine.
Cant guess just now why you are having this issue.
Can you tell me detail what you did actually, about your phone and what theme or something you were having before flashing this theme.
And before that try reflashing it and reboot. If issue occurs again then restart your phone once more.
May be it will solve your problem.
Now This is what i call nice looking theme. It makes me considering to use This one. Looks really good! Thanks mate

Yes i can do that but as adviced by 'einst31n' and noticed by me, if a user is using KyleOpen ROM/odexed rom then user will always face incompatibility issue with a installed dormant mode theme.
Dormant mode theme is compatible only on stock rom.
And a simple(powersaving mode) thats in a thread can be installed on stock and odexed both with no issue
But thats ok i will make it for dormant also but i will mention there that for stock rom/non-odexed rom
Will be reinstalling whole phone (also data wipe) to flash KORv3.2.0 tonight, so im going to try your theme right now mate

Edit: tried, working fine, looking nice, like those quick bar icons. would be great to have whole pack of this type of icons for apps in this theme. i would definitely use it than.
btw: any possibility to make quick bar a little transparent when rolled down? would look real good thou!
great work
wonderfull theme
work great with stock deodexed and zipaligned rom (XXALJ4)

Dude my PMP Light ROM is based on latest firmware baseband by Samsung. And latest firmware does not have powersaving mode, and instead of that, they added dormant/blocking mode.
EDIT: I replied your question in my rom thread also.
