Is there any way we could port over the RAZRs messaging apk and the keyboard? I like the way they are dark more than the D3s

I'm trying to figure this out as well.
The new BlurHome2 would be good with the options to hide icons
I have a modified version of the latinIME.apk from the droid 3 with .pngs from the razr. Let me upload it when I get to a computer. I'm also working on the swype and I'll look into the messaging apk

Sounds good, I've been poking around in Conversations.apk(textmessaging)from RAZR and it seems to me that some of the differences in the look of the app are due to system framework not just the app itself. Specifically the backgrounds as i couldn't find them within the app. I am by no means an expert tho so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yeah. there are some messaging references in the blur-res.apk. can you tell me what the differences are between the Droid 3 and razr messaging apps? Then ill know what to look for. Thanks

well i've only seen the RAZR's text app in a conversation and the big thing seems to be the background. On the DROID3 the background is a light gray and the RAZR has a dark maybe black background.

cool. can't wait to check out your latinIME.apk as well
Here it is, only for odexed systems (Ill put a deodexed one together later). If you still have the original motorola latinIME.apk, you don't need to replace the latinIME.odex, only the .apk. this isnt a flashable zip so just extract it and move the .apk to /system/app/ and overwrite the old latinIME.apk.
Make sure you have correct permissions
Update: Uploaded deodexed version. I havent tested it so let me know if it works.
Update 2: Deodexed version works

Edit: not that i use the virtual keyboard all that much but this looks 100% better than the stock DROID3 keyboard.

There is a libjni_latinime.so in system/lib/. I forgot to say. So that might be your problem. Did you set correct permissions?
I've copied and moved the deodexed apk to /system/app/ and have changed the permissions, but it still is not showing up as an imput method, is there something I'm doing wrong?

Is there a reason why you can't type up how it's done or at least post a link to a thread that does? Anyone else? I've done very minimal tweeks on android as I think for the most part the device is pretty solid, unlike the days of WM.
I'd really like the black gmail as I imagine is easier on the eyes as someone stated, however I do know about updating through update.zip to flash, though I know nothing of updating an APK file through this method...is it as simple as ZIPing the .apk file and flashing it?
Installed and it works well, but it's just the email list that's black. When you go into a message, it's white. Is this by design?
Jared
You do not need to flash this through ClockworkRecovery.
Just go into your System/App folder using your favorite root manager/root explorer, and replace the Gmail.apk file with the updated black version, then reboot your phone.
Alternately you can uninstall the Gmail apk through Titanium backup, then reinstall the provided black version.
Personally, I replaced the default gmail.apk with the black version in the new Epic Experience rom update, so it automatically replaced itself when flashing...
I'm actually unsure why it was suggested to flash through clockwork recovery, since the file is just a Apk file and NOT a signed zipped file.....
from a epic Galaxy far, far away.
Awesome, we're halfway there now. The only thing left is to figure out how to get those white background/black text emails reversed. Some already come with black background/white text, anyway to fool the app so it thinks they all are like that besides the ones with a colored background? Just brainstorming here, no real danger I hope lol

sorry i just re read the thread and i was wrong. i thought it was flashable with cwm.
so heres a step by step
1. download the apk
2. using sdx app remover or titnaium backup and delete the old gmail (or use root explorer to delete the gmail.apk
3. using root explorer copy the downlaed apk on your sd card.
4. goto system/app and mount the system r/w
5. past the apk here
6. click on the gmail.apk and install
7. reboot
Here it is! A working apk of the My Water live wallpaper from the transformer.
Download the file then place it in system/app with Root Explorer (or whatever file explorer program you use) and change the permissions to what the rest are set at. I'm also attaching the Weather widget from the Transformer as well. If you want any other things the Transformer has let me know and I'll grab em. Credit goes to dc13 from the Transformer forum for deodex'ing the Rom so we can all enjoy this.
Screenshot below of the live wallpaper and Weather widget. I tried to get the screenshot app to work, but no luck. Most likely due to it being located and tied in with the Settings menu...
If you get "INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES" error on tiamat 1.4 or any other Honeycomb device, install the Weather_signed and MyWater_signed apk's that were provided by shift_
Added the default Asus Transformer wallpaper as well. It's the tree one.
I just rar'd up the whole /app/ folder. That way everyone can grab whatever else they want, and test them individually and maybe get some more things going. These aren't going to be signed, though. So they will need to be pushed to /system/app with Root Explorer or ADB. You can sign them yourselves, though! I use an Auto-Signer, I'll post that if needed.
Here is a video of the live wallpaper in action. Thanks to Clipp for this! http://www.smartkeitai.com/asus-transformers-water-live-wallpaper-available-for-motorola-xoom-video/

I love the theme. One request though. Is there a way to get the stock font as a zip. The font included is a little tough for me to read or is there a way to increase the font size. I checked all the setting and could not find one. Thanks for the great theme.

Ughhh... What's the difference between edify and amend. Also how do you know which cwm you have?
The difference is, Amend is no longer used by or supported by almost all other devices besides ours. Edify is the better of the two. If you need to know more just search the forum or google it. If you go into recovery at the top it should tell you which cwm you have. I prefer cwm 2.5 for now simply because it can handle both Edify and Amend. Here is the link for CWM 2.5

To the people using this font: Are you running Voodoo Color or any other sort of sharpness tweak? I'm using a KJ3 kernel and find that Roboto, especially bolded, doesn't look great on my screen. Bolded words look kind of bouncy and uneven, and I think it's due to a lack of sharpness on a stock-ish kernel.

Stock/rooted KJ3.
I don't know what the hell its up with Google lazy or whatnot but if you look at stock ICS framework most of its still gingerbread orange
Allot of 3rd party apps like XDA, titanium backup...ect default back to stock framework for images and that's why these apps still have orange tabs..ect
well i went threw and edited all the orange to ICS blue.
So now all apps will match ICS
Works on all HDPI ICS ROMS GSM and CDMA
Update
2.15.12
new install method it will inject the new images without the need of editing the framework so now it works on all ICS roms
2.21.12
slightly adjusted brightness of the images previous were great but were slightly more vibrant compared to stock now much better.
Huge thanks to Brainmaster for this Universal Patch
First thing should always have or make a backup to fallback on just in case

Thanks for this, funny I never noticed the GB orange remnants in ICS until you pointed it out, but now it bothers me . I am using the BuglessBeast framework you posted and everything is working fine except where my carrier name is usually displayed (Sprint) it now says "Roaming Indicator Off." Perhaps it is because you used the framework for the gsm version of the nexus, as opposed to the 4G version which is what I have?
