I need some fast kernels for cm 7.1.... its quite good ..
Yesterday i flashed fugumod 3.0 kernel . Its not working on cm7.1
Are there any specific kernels for 7.1 !!! i need more speed .......
Thanks in advance
FuguMod can be problematic. Try glitch v12 or neo platypus kernel.

i prefer using Platypus neo kernel. because it has CWM 5. while glitch is CWM 4 i think if not 3, it's 4. and CWM 5 looks really good. you can check it out in my siggy. but you have to flash the kernel cleaning script. look for the good version. and then flash the kernel that you want. and done
Glitch is faster than all. Try yourself you will believe me.

Well, Im New here, just wondering, after using Team Icssgs RC4.2 with stock kernel, Im experiencing super lag issue in the homescreen as well as gaming, change over to devil 14.2, which is very fast and highly recommend by people over there, i experience faster performance but gets random reboots..and now I saw many people saying that AOKP is very good, better than Team Icssgs, is that true?should i switch to AOKP?
Reboots often happen due to overclocking.
Did you wipe after flashing ICSSGS?
**tapatalked with galaxy s on CNA and Glitch kernel**
Go with AOKP build 23 (2.1). I left RC4.2 and went for this one. I combined it with the icyglitch kernel b5.
AOKP 3.0 isn't there yet, buggy for me.
Benjamin
I don´t have reboots on Team Icssgs RC4.2. Do you have overclockt? Clear all the caches & wipe the System?
Still, I'm going to try AOKP Beta 2.1 this evening.
I'll report back!

Try semaphore 0.8.1 kernel with your current rom before flashing new rom. Working great for me. Great battery, no lag & no reboots. Been using for about 10 days or so after trying stock kernel & devil first (15.1 & 14.2)

i tried devil and stock, devil works really fast, but sometimes i just experienced some random reboots using devil, and stock, it is just so lag, compared to RC3..tried semaphore before..seems like there are lesser type of clock control mode?
Can i use the semaphore 0.8.1 kernel for both Roms?
AOKP V0.2 is much bettter than ICSGS RC4.2

Cm9 is better then both of them. Belive me because i tried them. As for kernel i also use semaphore 0.8.1. Is great. At the moment i use cm9 semaphore UC at 800. Very smooth and the battery is better

Really?but seems like CM9 is still in very alpha stages, where camera doesnt even works properly
Try it and u won't regret it. I tryed every ics rom for galaxy i9000 and cm9 is the most stable of all. I use it for 2-3 weeks. I tryed other ics roms but after a day max i swiched to cm9

CNA 1.4.1 + Semaphore 0.9.0
-there is no better rom combi
i suggest aokp 2.1 stable with 0.9 semaphore. im using it currently and its really good
aokp is much smoother than icssgs, aokp have tweaks included
Aokp+ semaphore is working great for me
RC 4.2 is very good, used it on daily basis. Now on Slim ICS

There is only TEST version of 1.2.3 Semaphore Kernel.
Use it at ur own risk.

thx man. for remICS i use the 1.2.3 not the s version right ?

U can use s vrrsion if u have f4k patch ....
sgs i9000 = god
I am also using RemICS rom 1.1
i flashed kernel script cleaner and then Semaphore 1.2.3 (without s)
i flashed 1.2.3 ....... its amazing
great game performance . great benchmark . really smouth
but i want to reflash it after the kernel cleaner script .(in case there's some mixed up stuff) . can you guys please give me a link to the kernel cleaning script ?
Hi!
How do I update SlimICS with Semaphore kernel installed (the current versions when new SlimICS version is out)?
Just clean /cache and Dalivic?
Clean something else?
Then install the SlimICS components in CWM?
Do i have a "clean" SlimICS after that without semaphore components left?
And then optionally reinstall semaphore kernel?
Another question: When i want to test Semaphore kernel.... how can i completly uninstall the kernel after testing?
THX!
Mart
Before updating I always revert all semaphore settings to stock, in recovery wipe cache and dalvik, clear init.d and ns tools then follow update changelog instructions.
If you want to revert back to stock kernel after a play with semaphore, the kernel is provided over at the slim website, check the version though.

Thank You for the fast reply!
Do you mean the "Base_Samsung_4.0.zip" as SlimICS kernel?

Is there a significant performance gain using semaphore kernel compared to stock slim kernel for you? Is it worth trying?

I find the bigmem mode of the semaphore kernel to be better as more ram means better multitasking
Hello. I want to ask is it safe to flash kernel after using the Tom for a few days? Like changing kernel instead of changing it when the rom is flashed? And is squadzone latest cyanmobile kernel the best?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda premium
here in galaxy mini a universal kernel had not been built
but almost every cm rom's kernel is compatible with another cm rom but not with miui or other
#1 Post : Yes
Even stock-roms need to have same base (XWKTN must same to get same kernel, etc)

Not really. Kernel could be flashed without wiping anything.

I have an Xperia W8 (Same as X8). I flashed nAa 2.6.32.61 jb kernel on my device. Before flashing this I had the nAa jb 05 kernel. But then I decided to flash my minicm10 ROM again. I took a backup and made a full wipe.
When I selected the zip file, it showed an error instantly and aborted. Then I tried the latest nightly. Even that didn't work. (Though I could restore a backup of jelly bean)
Finally I read that Mimicm7 2.2.2 could also be installed. It worked and I am very happy with it now. And have flashed mimicm7 again without problems. I have no plans of going back to jelly bean.
Yesterday, I tried to flash odex zip file (on mimicm7) I got the same error. As I don't have access to a computer for a while, could anyone suggest a fix. Why odex zip file is not flashing using this kernel? I have searched a lot. Am I the only one facing the problems? Please provide a way to flash Odex.
First: You can't flash minicm10 because instalation script need nAa5 so you can edit script or fash rom on nAa 5 and then flash nAa 6
Second: Odex.zip is only for jellybean and minicm7 is already odexed.

Thanks a lot. I wasn't aware that minicm7 is already odexed. Can you recommend any other ROM(with custom kernel) with at least 60-70 free ram and a battery backup that lasts for a day with moderate usage?
Is the minijb ROM by davee10 good? because minicm10 is very Slow even when a few apps are running. With good battery backup?
Every cm9/10 is slow. Apps are heavy because system is designed for new, faster than our old x8, devices. I'm using lite cm7 by fabe with oxydo zcf 4 and it's work pretty cool but I advise to test for yourself. If you don't need ginglerbread look at froyo pro with alfs 8 - it's one of the fastest combinations.

Froyo pro is pretty old. any gingerbread ROMs with great performance and battery life. Does oxydo kernel have smartass H3 governor?
Thanks a lot iks8
Yes it has. Lite cm7 is in lite cm10 thread. Sorry but I'm on mobile so I can't provide you a link.
