I had migrated FM Radio from XT883 - Motorola Droid 3

http://www.multiupload.com/WH1NVH5VKP
copy this file to /system/app/
change file permission to rw-r-r
then restart
hope you like.

Wow! Cool! Thank you, this is the best version! Looks great and works flawlessly. Thanks!

Can you adjust volume with this one with +- when you're outside the app (like with musicplayer)

usb handset?
Does this radio app supports usb handset??

@DoubleYouPee YES!
@dlucio Don't know, try it!

Getting this app now! Was sad the one built into CM7.1 didn't work, now I can have a working FM radio!!!

Thanks btw, using this because I can now change volume without going back to the app!

Will we ever be able to use a BT headset with the FM app?

You'd still need headphones or a patch cable in the headphone jack to act as an antenna.

Hey, works great, thanks.

One thing... how do you turn it off? Now I have to open up musicplayer > play a song > stop the song to kill the radio

what's the difference from the builtin (Music+) FM radio ?

My XT862 doesn't have FM radio built-in. Neither with googlemusic nor blur music. I think only XT860/XT883(?) has it

That's why i said BUILT-IN.
I prefer MAVROM over liberty. Does liberty contain the music app from XT860?

Captivate keyboard

For those of you who like the Samsung's iPhone-style keyboard from the other Galaxy S models (yet another thing mysteriously removed for Verizon), I've attached the .so and .apk files from the latest Captivate deodexing. Just copy 'em into /system/lib and /system/app respectively, reboot, and they should work. (Or you could use adb, but that's not working for me right now.) You may want to remove the LatinIME stock android apk/odex that the Fascinate ships with -- the Samsung apk includes the Android keyboard as well.
Here tossed it in a flashable zip for clockwork, haven't tested it but should work.
Thanks s44, for this.
Does it support Swype?
Swype is its own app.
THANK YOU! I've been waiting for this

I don't hear any sound?
I used the update.zip and if all volume is up there is a click feedback for typing I can live with it but it is a little annoying and if I turn system volume off using audiomanager widget the sound is off and my headache goes away lol.

Yeah, if you're a non-swyper (totally different feel) this is definitely the one to use.
Trying it now, seems to lag a little bit for me.

I installed this, but can't get it to switch over to the new keyboard. Is there something special you have to do to choose the keyboard as default?
Long-press in any text entry field to bring up the keyboard selection menu.
Thanks
Thanks, that worked and this keyboard is awesome.

Use the free "shoot me" app from market for screenshots. I use this and it works pretty good.
drocap2 works wonderfully
You have to hold the back button and while doing so press power or home I believe. The apk gets ripped out of most custom roms and I normally use qtadb so I really can't remember exactly.
I use the shoot me app as well. Given it a try, I bet you will like it.

Thx, good app. But it if possible to use in-built function I'd like to use it. But I can't. Any described sequences back+home back+power don't work. I have stock Rogers ROM 2.2 and speedmod kernel.
I use ddms.bat.
Way better than some app.

Unless stuff is moving on the screen, in which case it doesn't look so hot (at least in my experience). Otherwise, yes.

Microphone

Is it just me or do other members of this forum also have problems with there microphone volume?
During a call, people on the other side are hearing me not so good.
And yes i unchecked the noise reduction in phone settings.
If so, anyone got a solution for this problem?
No one???
If you're still using my CM12 build, you might increase the microphone volume with FauxSound app.

No, it's a paid app from Play Store.
However, adjusting the same audio features is also supported by 3C toolbox or System Tuner. Both are free, yet a little too bloated with features I personally don't need.

Hi manus31, thanks for your reply. I was not talking about Internet Radio Apps, but FM Radio module within the phone. But it looks like there is none. Just wanted to be sure.

according to gsmarena and many other review pages the nokia 7 plus HAS FM Radio: https://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_7_plus-9058.php
Unfortunately, there is no stock fm radio app. Have you already tried to download one from the playstore or somewhere else?

That's what I said in the beginning. Many report there is one... But is there a hardware module for FM Radio? Not talking about apps. I checked the Nokia Site again, no word about FM Radio in it. I just want to know from somebody who is absolutely sure if there is or not. Not guessing or retelling...

I read in several other communities that there is NO built-in FM Radio Module. Or it isn't activated yet. But for now there is no built-in FM Radio. Not talking about internet radio (apps).

I'm not so sure about that, the app he downloaded is simply an app that uses radio web streams and in no way uses an physical FM receiver in the phone...
On top of that he says no equaliser, except there is one, if you go into google music you can access it through the settings. He has the phone and yet he is getting lots of information wrong.

Most Snapdragon phones come with the fm module as it's a part of the SoC afaik. That said, there's apps like Nextradio that can enable and use that module as long as it's not disabled at the soc's firmware, and you obviously need the headphone jack so you can have the headphones work as an antenna.

Yes, because it's Android one, so the apps are only essential. You do have fm radio but you need the app and a pair of earphones
I found somewhere on xda a firmware file "B2N-132E-0-00WW-B07.nb0", and extracted the contents.
It seems everything related to FM radio is present, I mean drivers, other binaries, some other software.
I got from https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/how-to/nokia-6-ta-1000-homebrew-stock-android-t3752006 an image of a Nokia 6 (I used D1C-562A-0-00WW-B01_Exploit, not tested the other), found more or less the same files, and FMRadio.apk.
So I tried installing it on my TA-1046, installation fails.
FYI, the error message when I try to install is:
Code:
adb: failed to install FMRadio.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK: Package couldn't be installed in /data/app/com.evenwell.fmradio-<part that changes at every try>: Package /data/app/com.evenwell.fmradio-<same as the other>/base.apk code is missing]
Something is missing, but it is beyond my knowledge, and don't know how to investigate further.
I also tried to decode, look if there is something obvious, build and sign the apk, with the same result. I do not really know what I should modify to at least get it installed, it is beyond my knowledge.
No idea if it will even work if we succeed in installing it.

I choose the notification sound that i want from a file in https://superfiles.co/download/F3M13Lta/Google-Pixel-4a-Ringtones.zip. Than i use a program called Audacity and "amplify" the notification sound that i use to -10dB and copy that one to my phone and use it, thank you very much.

Yes i agree, but in relation to the ringtone sound level it makes it more convinient. You can even adjust the level by using multiple files. But did google already "fixed" this since version Kit Kat?
Try Sound Profile by Corcanoe in Play Store.
Ready for Android 12.
Sound Profile (Volume control) - Apps on Google Play
Control phone volume for calls and notifications separately.
