[READ FIRST] Roll-up Thread - Everything Ideos X6

These are all important threads about modding your IdeosX6 & variants
ie Cherry Mobile Magnum HD A400,Spice CSL Mi 410,WellcoM A99,CSL Blueberry Mi 410 etc.
The following content is very important. Read and understand it like your life and that of your phone depended on it. All beginners are required to have this basic knowledge before doing anything with their phone. To get software/cwm/stuff please follow links further below.
The GOLDEN rule.
"There exists a delicate balance between the flasher and the flashed, which when disturbed will result in utter chaos and total annihilation of mortals"
For newbs : The kernel of the ROM you wish to flash should correspond to the kernel/CWM already installed.
i.e. SUT => KERNEL <=> CWM
If you want to:
=> Flash a stock ROM or any .nb0 file
1. Install the appropriate version of SUT ie 1.7 for .32 kernels and 1.8 for. 35 kernel.
2. Flash .nb0 through SUT
=> Root your stock rom
1. Install CWM depending on the kernel either. 32/.35
Tip: RC3 comes with CWM preinstalled. So you have to do this only for Sharp ROM and other .32 ROMs.
2. Install superuser through CWM.
=> Flash a custom ROM or any other .zip file
1. First make sure you have the right Kernel (.35/.32) and CWM installed depending on your kernel. This condition is very important. You might even end up soft bricking your phone if you don't do this. You've been warned!
2. Download the zip and flash through CWM after following the appropriate steps described for that particular ROM.

RETURNING YOUR PHONE FOR WARRANTY?
..stock rom varies for phones. Mines a CSL/Spice, some people have wellcom, some have a huawei. Go your vendor site or this and download the GB update for your phone and flash it through SUT. Now you can return your phone without any problems.

I was trying very hard to find froyo stock rom. The cherry mobile link was not working. I have upgraded my phone to 2.GB and was facing some lag issues, just wanted to revert back to 2.2, but was not able to find the good stock rom. Will store this link as well as download and have a backup

yea ill look around and update the same sorry got a new job and was not in town went to my HO for some training and all but i wont add any roms only the kernalls and all OK as this is not for cooked roms ok

Would you like update about sd-ext / swap modding thread?
Maybe it's required althought this device has big internal memory

go for andro-ID 3.3.1 ..its the smooth and fast rom and also it gives very good battery backup

You can try emanoN v5 if you want to retain the feel of using a stock rom on your phone.
I recently updated my rom to emanoN v6 but went back to v5 due to alot of force close issues. Its always a good thing to create a nandroid backup through CWM recovery just in case something goes wrong (I used my nandroid backup to go back to emanoN v5)

both don't have much bugs or reboot issues.

I was using cyanmobile but it had many bugs....i then flashed cyanogen mod 7.2 rc 5.6 ....itz best rom i have ever used ....u may give it a try

Every rom has its pros and cons, and for everyone it will be different rom that is best. For me, its MIUI gingerbread, but as soon as MIUI v4 with working cam is released, I'm switching to it

Hey why don't you just put your phone in an oven or something or at least have some sense to read and then flash any custom rom you like.
See its free of cost , so go on have a blast.
For starters you can try emanon v7 . or latest nightly of official cm7.

Since you're new to flashing world, I suggest you just flash Official CM7 for starters or even Unofficial CM7 by Mebitek.

Since you tried those roms, you should know that cm7.2 rc3 by squadzone is more stable, because the RC4 and RC5 version are kinda weird. For gaming is ok, and is fast, but you'll find out soon that there is a little problem with the internal memory when you install apps.
The good roms that I tried in the dev section of this mini forum are:
cm7.2 rc3 by squadzone
CM 7.2-Democracy ROM
iDroid 1.2.2
Xperia Gamerz Edition V2
You can see that I do not mention Emanon at all. The EmanoN Rom is good and very stable, but once you try CyanogenMod, you cannot expect to have those tweaks and functions in EmanoN.
The ROMs do not speak by themselves, there are posts in the Dev-Section that offers a lot of tweaks and improvements for the Mini regarding the rom (installing them, of course, through the CWM Recovery).
The best suggestion that I can give you is:
Start CWM -> Make Backup -> Wipe Data/Cache -> Install ROM -> Try -> Complain -> Scream -> Reboot -> Start CWM -> Restore Backup -> Install Another ROM -> Try->.... you get the idea, right?

but wich rom is the latest one..?

take the newest one from 25th.
If you install a new Rom this will install a new kernel.
But you can install your wish kernel later - if it is a kernel working with the Rom you chose.

Also, please do not try the paranoid android 2.99 ROM if you are new. It is very much in beta stage and is not stable like the other custom ROMs.
