Today only QuickOffice Pro and QuickOffice Pro HD are free in the Amazon Appstore. The HD version for Honeycomb won't show up on a Nook running CM7 so you should open the Desktop Amazon site with the link below and Buy it there, Just in case you get a Tablet in the Future, have Honeycomb on your Nook, or future ICS ports may work with it.

Anybody using a Xoom doesn't want that version. Honeycomb users want quick office pro hd
whoops...good call...thanks for correcting.
Amazon App Store free app for today is QuickOffice Pro HD (usually $19.99).. It's only free for today (11/14), so grab it while you can!

Great Deal
Great Deal on a great app.
Great
Ya I grabbed this one, very good deal.
So I'm curious what others have found to be the best office type app out there that works on the N7 here?
I bought Docs 2 Go back when it first came out and I was lucky enough to catch the Amazon FAOTD when they gave away pretty much every big office app; Docs2Go, QuickOffice Pro, QuickOffice Pro HD for Honeycomb (not sure this would even load), and OfficeSuite Professional 6.
They all seem to have good and bad, but I'm wondering if others out there have more experience, different opinions, etc.
Quick office
Quick office to not sound redundant

I have been VERY happy with Kingsoft Office.
It is in the Play Store for free. It integrates with Dropbox, box.net, and Google Drive. Nice, smooth UI. I've used it on several devices and like it more than the other options out there.

I like OfficeSuite Pro. It was the App of the Day with Amazon a few months back and does a good job. Otherwise I try to stick with Google Docs/Drive.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I went with Quickoffice Pro HD. Seems pretty good so far!
Actual QuickOffice Pro HD? I purchased it previously for another tab but it tells me now it is incompatible with the Nexus 7. What am I missing? Good Play Store shows regular QuickOffice Pro available but that is all.

Above post should say Google Play Store not Good! Auto correct can be a pain sometimes.

I got it as a FAOTD from Amazon and it actually says "QuickOffice Pro HD (for Honeycomb tablets)" and seems to work fine.
Best is onlive. Pay to get the free virtual machine setup with win7 and office. Use your tab just like it was running office 2010 native.

Had to go with Office Suite as Quick Office couldn't open my password protected Spreadsheet files.
Is there an office suit that has a 'dark mode' like the e-reader apps all do? -Ara

For people who follow Rss feeds and use google reader i can recommend the app "reader hd". There is a free and paid version. Has list and magazine layout, light and dark holo theme, can mobilize feeds, highly customizable, good widget, phone & tablet layout and got already an update for nexus 7.
Is anyone else unable to use their credit? I have no idea if I'm doing something wrong but the credit is in my account and when I try to purchase something, it gets stuck on "Authorizing Payment" forever then says my transaction was declined even though the money was taken out of my balance. But it return after 24 hours...
Edit: Asked others about a game...just found out it had in-app purchases. So...no interest anymore. LOL

Any chance someone could pull the APK of the Amazon App store version of Wired Magazine from a Kindle Fire HD 7"? Regular Android tablets don't get the nice, tablet-optimized version of the magazine. Instead, we basically get a PDF. The only other copies of the APK floating out there are from the original Kindle Fire, where the magazine content is stuck in a 1024x600 box in the middle of the screen.
Not looking for any magazine content, as I'm a subscriber Just looking for the APK itself. Thanks!

Asking one more time. Any chance someone could pull the APK?

If you're rooted, you could try Market Helper from codekiem, to spoof the kindle device id?

Yeah, I have that one and I believe it's from the original Kindle Fire. The date on that post is in 2011 and the HD was released in 2012.
I'm not 100% sure the APK from the KF HD would even work, but I know the one from the original KF doesn't work correctly. I appreciate the reply.

Really good idea, but people on this thread indicate that it doesn't fool the Amazon App Store.

Thanks for the help, though.
