[Q] Battery Usage system app? - LG Thrill 4G

I just flashed the O3D Acura GB rom and there is an odd application instead of the stock battery usage app. Does anyone have the .apk for the stock battery usage app?

[Q] Text messaging apps taking up 50% CPU time?

Hello! I'm currently using (not the latest, but the version before) of the Alba ICS release. The strange problem I'm having is when I have any text messaging app open, it uses around 50% of my cpu, even when it's running in the background. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks!

How to stop stock applications on stock ics

Pls help me I want to stop stock useless applications on stock ics so as to increase the battery life of my note.

You can use TB to freeze unwanted application, ou you can uninstall too (safe removal list is available on stikies of appl & theme section)
But, your idea to improve battrey life is on debate. If you dont set autorefresh on stock / any news app like AP mobile and dont use widgets, then i dont think it will drain juice. You can install battery monito appl to find battery consumption by individual appl. at end of cycle it may not be even recorded amount (<0.1%).
Better battery stats is also a good app to keep an eye on your battery

[Q] Couple of random questions for my S3 mini!

Hello
just received my SIII Mini, which is looking great so far. I'm new to Android 4.1 though, and I've encountered a couple of issues that I used to be able to do just fine on my older Android device, which was running the old 2.3.6.
Maybe these features are hidden now, or maybe they require third party applications to do now, but I was hoping you guys could help me out with them.
1. Tagging music files: in the old stock MP3-player / music application, I was able to tag MP3-files just fine so that the artist is no longer set to 'unknown'. With this MP3-player, I can't seem to find a rename function, nor can I set the proper tags. Any ideas on how to go by this?
2. Moving apps to MicroSD: when I went to the settings and then the list with apps, I was able to click the apps that I had downloaded, which would then give me an option to move these to my external storage (micro SD). In 4.1, none of the apps which I know for fact I had on SD on the former 2.3.6 give me that option in the app list. How would I be able to move the applications to my external storage?
3. Battery life: the battery span seems to be a tad short, can only seem to reach to about a day without really actively using the device. I'm afraid I'll fall without battery once I start using it far more actively. Do you guys have positive experiences with the battery save function, or would you guys recommend a certain battery saver application to increase the span?
That would be it for now, will update my thread if I encounter more (minor) issues. Thanks heaps already you guys.
Tagging music I bought the Music Player named Poweramp it works awesome allows to edit music info.
You can move apps to sd with an app called apps2sd
As for battery life you can root your phone or install custom rom. I used DMod v5 rom and I get about 2.5 days med usage and 15 hours full usage

Battery issues GT-S6012

Hello xda.I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy Music Duos GT-S6012 from ICS to JB 4.1.2 using Odin and an update package intended for another region(still counts as official update) and rooted it.I did this mainly because the TouchWiz UI was really laggy, mainly the dialpad and contacts. So i also installed Nova Launcher. The UI is now noticeably smooth apart from the uncommon lagging. But it seems I had to pay for smooth use with my battery life.Using the internet greatly reduces my battery life.Is there any remedy for it?Is there any good ROM or an efficient custom kernel out there for my device?

You can try an app called Battery Calibration ,calibrate when your battery is 100%.I also use Deep Sleep Battery Saver, see if those apps help you,if not it may be specific rom problem
Is battery doctor helpful?I have not kept note of timings, but i think the app does help the charging process faster, but i can see a drop in my battery's endurance....below 30% the charge lasts the most and below 10% sometimes it's a countdown...What's your opinion of the app?

Install greenify
It's one of the best root apps and use it to hibernate unwanted apps as long as you're not using them.
Juice defender ultimate is also worth a try... But I would recommend greenify.
Hi Monty Bhai..
Sorry to know about your problems . Well, I have the same phone and updated it to jelly bean before someday. I'm not experiencing any battery problem .
Well, I googled but didn't get any rom and kernal ..
Hmm. Some tips for you. It may help .
1. Reduce the brightness of
your display.
2. Set your screen timeout
to the shortest length
possible.
3. Turn off the wireless and bluetooth
feature when not
needed .
4. Turn off the GPS when not needed .
5. Do not leave applications
running when you don't
need them .
and lagging problem .. Hmm . Uninstall some apps which you don't need . more phone space= more smoother experience .
Hope it helps.

Get either Battery Doctor, like mentioned previously, or JuiceDefender. Battery Doctor also adds a circle battery as a notification in case you don't have one flashed or a custom ROM/Xposed module that has one.
I also hav updated it to jelly bean...batgery life is wonderful now...at 12 in the night if its 100 percent..at 8 in the morning it will be 98..and i use internet frequently and i can manage till night

[Q] sudden change in batt drain

2yo M7. Is there a recommended app that is best to discover what app or background app might be extra greedy suddenly?
I think perhaps a recent app update is greedy. Course it could be the batt.
Perhaps a rec for a batt health app?
