Airtel lock in Diamond
I am waiting for delivery yet.
Hmm- did you order from india plaza? They are telling 15 days to deliver.
Hi buddy did u get the delivery of diamond coz i was thinking of orderin one frm Indiaplaza.
dude they've mentioned that release date will be 20th june on the website....so u gotta wait till then for them to ship u the phone. also, 37K is way too high considering that airtel is selling it at 27K officially....and you're gonna get it at the same time as airtel users (unless u wanna lose warranty by ordering from outside india)
correct me if i'm wrong
btw, i'm waitin for this phone too...
Can we stay on topic here ...did anyone find out how to SIM-unlock & CID unlock the phone to use any network?
Regards
i was wondering, will flashing a new rom take care of the unlocking part?
so if i use a valid operator sim (borrowed), to start the phone and flash the rom...will the phone work when i put back my default sim card (which is not originally supported due to sim-lock)?
that'd take care of this problem until a proper sim-unlock tool is made (free) available!
I got HTC Diamond
I got the delivery of HTC Diamond from Indiaplaza.in, It is a damn sexy phone.
Can anyone please tell me how to unlock as it comes with Airtel lock.
CONGRATS Pritesh, are u able to register your Airtel locked phone for ROM update service on the HTC website??
Can you also tell me the ROM version of your phone??
Planning to buy it tomo..
Congrats on your new purchase !
plz tell us the ROM version that is on the phone locked with Airtel.... and if there is any other difference apart from the non-3G support and the processor.
thanks
Maybe this will work:
http://www.phonevolts.com/product_in...roducts_id=792
It would be nice to share the ROM for bricked users like myself till the SuperCID solution is made public.
Whats the original SPL version. U can see it by going to boot loader . volume down + reset
hi today my bro purchased a d3 which is not activated its a verizon one....so the seller told him that he can activate the phone from his verison sim and then ask them the unlock code to use it outside of usa...
so my bro is gona send me that phone to india so is it gona work or we screwd up lol...
or is there any possible way to make phone work phone is stil in usa and now what shold be done ?hope it works in india
What GSM frequencies does your carrier use? I think the only restrictions on GSM are US carriers/
Sent from my DROID3 using XDA App
freq
GSM 900 5 carriers
GSM 900/1800 these i found from google.. here i phone 4 works
and the bands of i phone 4 and d3 are nearly similar i think
i phone 4 -GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 850/900/1900/2100
d3-GSM 850/900/1800/1900 (Quadband) HSDPA 850/1900/2100
i hope it works...
and one more thing the phone which my bro has is still inactive the seller told tat he called up verizon and took unlock code and inserted it in phone but m not sure he did ....becoz if he did then how is phone still unactivated so m kinda so confsued...hope some one explains me...
I'm going to assume you are not in the U.S. due to your English. If your local carrier has provided you a SIM card, just plug it in the Droid 3 and see if it works.
If the phone is locked for foreign carrier and requires an unlock by Verizon, then you're screwed because you won't be able to call Verizon to unlock it for you (being that you're not in U.S. and not a Verizon customer).
As for calling Verizon to activate the phone, that's for Verizon customers in the U.S.
...
i dont have the phone yet my bro will receive in two days.and then he will send me. so how can he check weather its unlocked or not?...the seller told us tat he have put up the unlock code and even has given the unlock code...
but i doubt becoz the phone is not yet activated...the phone is still in shipping my bro will receive it in 2-3 days....
so my questions are
1)what sim card should he use to check there in usa
2)the phone is not activated so is it necessary that my brother activate that phone with his number? or without activation can a phone be used with a gsm service sim card.....
3) and i am confused can a phone be unlocked without phone being activated?

1) Phone will not work on GSM in USA no matter what SIM card you put in. Your brother must really try to unlock it before he sends it over to you since some cannot be unlocked without Verizon providing the code and you may be stuck with a non-unlockable phone (useless). Get your brother purchase unlock code online and try it (by inserting any non-Verizon sim card inside). If phone unlocks you are good to go. If code doesn't work, he either needs to have it activated on a non-new postpaid account that has been in good standing for at least 60 days and request Verizon to provide the unlock code, or to return the phone and try another one.
2) no activation is needed if you are going to use the phone on GSM outside USA
3) phone can be unlocked without being activated with Verizon, but this might be a tough thing to do since Verizon altered intentionally unlock code of some of the handsets.

He should use an international SIM card to check.

I can't tell you if activation is needed. I've had an iPhone 4S (Verizon) unlocked, but it was already activated when I proceeded. Verizon did require me to tell them the phone number for the phone I wanted to unlock, so it might have to be activated.

This seems to be same question as #2.
I called Verizon and told them I wanted to unlock my wife's iPhone 4S for use in Taiwan. They forwarded me to the global department, and the rep told me to hold on the line while he unlocks the phone.
After he said it was unlocked, I tried my wife's sister's international SIM card in the phone. The phone didn't ask for an unlock code, but the SIM card did, since the sister had set a code. She knew the code though, and after putting it in, the SIM was accepted. We won't know if it's for sure working until she brings the phone to Taiwan, but it appears to be working.

I bought my One in the UK and, as far as I'm aware, it's locked to Three (the network I bought it from). Since I've come to China and South East Asia, I do not get any signal on my phone. My girlfriend who has an iPhone 3Gs and is also on Three gets signal (or she did before she cancelled her contract).
Should I get signal out here? I thought the phone would be able to work anywhere in the world in spite of where it was purchased. Anybody know anything about this? It's rooted and I have a custom ROM and custom firmware installed. Pretty sure I also updated the radio manually too, but I can't remember.

Its not working because the phone is SIM-locked to Three network. You will have to SIM unlock the phone.
http://support.three.co.uk/SRVS/CGI..._cat=billing,varset_subcat=3772,Case=obj(4363)
Request an unlock code and continue the process. Then, your SIM will be unlocked and you will be able to use it anywhere

Huh, I thought that would only happen if I tried to put a non-Three SIM in the phone. Thanks, man
If you have your UK SIM in there, maybe you need to activate roaming on the network. But you know what they're like, you can only do that whilst in the UK.
Get an unlock code from eBay or a website and buy a local SIM, it'll save you money in days or even hours given the stupendous price of data roaming.
I really need to find out if I can salvage this phone I purchased from an aquaintance. A few days after purchasing this phone I then purchased a Family Plan Sim Card from Walmart. I then went to install it and the comment thay my phone flashed back at me was locked network on this phone and that the sim was the incorrect one. So I called ATT and was told to call back and see about a unlock code. I wanna know asap if possible if Im wasting my time to use this phone or if I can switch sims how please how!!?

They have a website to request unlock codes.
https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/
That is how I unlocked my phone after it was out of contract with them.
I have tried everything I can come up with or find on the internet. Change apn, have at&t add imei, swap out some cards etc. Can not get LTE to work on my OnePlus 3t. I love the phone but... Am I missing something? I see people claiming that they have LTE working but I can't seem to get it to work.
its a probability that you have a Chinese phone , i just have the saqme situation as you , i tried everything , from:
Tried all the same as you
i try with another sim card from another carrier
and nothing work ,inclusive i mailed the guy who sell me the phone (because it was a used phone) and he swear to me that it was the US version , because i started to have some doubts about the version of my phone.
the last thing i did , and recommend that do the same is email one plus and send them you IMEI number , and as i suspect , it was a Chinese phone
I ended returning the phone to the seller , and buying a one plus 3t directly from one plus website , after waiting some time , i get the phone , put my lte/4g sim card from att , turn it on , and you know what i did have lte/4g service as soon as it connect to the network.

It is model A3010 TD-LTE which understand is the US version.

Why do you think that you don't have LTE?
Says H+ in status bar and speed tests would indicate that I don't have LTE. Only 8-10mbs download.

Through further research I believe the phone I bought is the Chinese model. Bought it form ebay, not advertised as the Chinese model. Said it was shipping from new jersey and did ship from China. I am requesting a refund now so I can order the proper phone. Thanks to all.

One more question. If I root, is it possible to enable North American LTE bands. I did in fact order the Chinese phone by mistake...

About phone > Model number simply says "ONEPLUS A3000" but I'm also not seeing an option to enable LTE.
I bought mine directly from OnePlus.

4G = LTE
Make sure you have Settings / Sim & Network / Preferred Network Type / 2G/3G/4G (Automatic)
