[Q] SGS unable to use simcard and Wifi after flashing - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone i am new to rooting and flashing devices and kinda stuck with a problem. I have a Samsung Galaxy s with
Firmware 2.3.3 Gingerbread
with Build number DDjv9
I tried flashing the the rom using oden3 with CF-root....tar file and then installed superuser through recovery...At 1st the phone was stuck in a loop and it kept rebooting ..i tried another cf-root file and that fixed the looping and rebooting problem ...Now ths issue is it dosnt detect my sim card...and dosnt allow me to use wifi...i tried many other files ...tried factroy reset frm recovery and even tried to reset using the code...noting works the phone just resets and i can see superuser app in the menu...
Really wish i could get some help on how to get my simcard to work again and wifi..Or even get my phone back to stock rom.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried reflashing with another romhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136449)? Did you backup your efs folder (using for exemple nitrality), if you did, try restoring your efs folder.

Help unbricking

Hello everyone, today i was trying to install the new version of Darky's rom and so i wiped data/factory reset on CMW and now my phone doesn't start anymore when i turn it on it flashes the galaxy logo 2 times then its stuck there, and when i go to download mod to try to flash stuff the computer doesn't detect the USB no more(i tried all ports on the pc). i also fooled around the CWM partition and mounting and stuff and i think i screwed it up even more. what can i do at this point? thanks any help is much appreciated
Can you still access recovery? if so, run a factory reset on it and then see if it is detected by odin. If so, revert it back to a froyo base using EZbase, and then try flashing the rom again, this time only changing what it says to change.

[Q] Galaxy S Plus - Stuck in Reboot loop

Hi
I got a rooted Samsung galaxy plus 9001.
I installed font changer and busy box.
With the font changer i chose a ttf font from the internal memory card, and after applying it, i got the pop up menu reboot now.
After clicking on reboot now my phone stuck in reboot loop.
I can access android recovery menu, i treid wipe all user data but still stuck in reboot loop.
Please help me guys.
You'll have to reinstall the rom you were using... that should get you out of bootloop. If that doesn't work, do factory defaults (you'll lose all apps and settings!) and install the original rom again (or for instance XXKPS).
One more tip: always make a (cwm/feamod) backup before changing system defaults
Regards,
Nika.
Thank you.. Thanks alot

any link to step by step instructions on how to do this available anywhere?
i have similar boot loop problem.
I doubt anyone has created that. How did you get into the loop?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
Boot Loop
When you are stuck in the boot loop:
1. Take out the battery and re-insert it.
2. Put the phone in download mode (using 3-button combo - down+home+power)
3. Open Odin, and reinstall the stock firmware (using all 3 md5 files: PDA, CSC and PHONE); you will be able to find the files in the stock firmware 2.3.5 from the post in XDA-stock gingerbread roms for i9000.
4. After you have done this, root your phone, install custom kernel, and then install custom firmware through custom recovery menu.
Thats the way i did it....i dunno if there is a short cut to it.
Hope it helps!
I also find bootloop can be resolved by going into download as stated by puneetgandhi and flash a VOODOO KERNEL using ODIN (it goes on PDA).
Then booting to recovery and turning off all lags.

No idea, it has been going in and out of boot loops a few times already for last few months works fine for ages. All of a sudden it would starts lagging on an app or when texting and reboots into a loop
although i never had the problem on froyo only in gingerbread (a few week or so after i got my phone back from repair shop, they upgraded it to gingerbread without my notification, but since i had voodoo on before on froyo i don't know, maybe they updated it wrongly ).
First time i fixed it with a fix on here about transferring a system file through odin.
second time it fixed itself after i left it for a day as i didn't have time to fix it .
this time i finally fixed it with a factory reset for the 4th or 5th time in a row, after wiping cache and so on, didn't work first few times.
So not sure whats causing it, could be a failing internal memory card i suppose or overheating corrupting the memory, hoping its a software issue that the factory reset will permanently fix (but doubt it).
If you were on Froyo, please look or create another thread for I9000 Samsung Galaxy S. This thread is about Samsung Galaxy S plus I9001... That's the device I own, and stuff like Voodoo and Froyo do not exist on SGS+ (and I have no experience with - probably other with an I9000/SGS do).

[Q] i9000 - Can't boot or write to SD

Hello,
I am(was) running MIUI version 2.1.13.
Recently my phone kept freezing, leaving a black screen with nothing but the backlight on.
I tried re-flashing the phone to a previous version of MIUI and after that all of my problems really began...
first of all after reflashing I can't write anything to the SD card... I mean I can but after I reboot the phone the file is gone(and if I format the card or erase a file they are back after the reboot)...
even if I manage to get MIUI or CM7 running after each reboot of the phone my login to my google account & market are lost... so basically every time I load up the phone it is as if I just flashed it. also I keep getting all sorts of services crashing notices.
when I try reflashing any other ROM I get the following error:
Can't access to '/system/csc/xee/system/'.
and the phone stays stuck on the Samsung LOGO or enters a boot loop.
I tried STOCK, Darky, Operators rom & PilotX...
Can some one please help me?
Reflashing a stock rom with odin or heimdall should always work...if not, maybe your sdcard is broken?

Attempting to revive the phone

My friend had this i9000 and he said that at one point it just wouldn't boot, just kept doing a boot loop. He has pictures on there he wanted to recover. I flashed CWM and managed to mount it and copy everything off the device. Now I want to try and get it working for him but for some reason, flashing the phone just isn't working. I've also tried flashing with 3 different pit files, but there's just no success. All I can say is the device is was using the official ROM and is locked to the UK T-Mobile carrier.
Is anyone able to help?
