[Q] Question about custom lockscreens - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just flashed the latest version of GingerReal2 JVT and to my disappointment there are no custom lockscreens.
Is there any mod that only flashes the custom lockscreens to a phone without any theming involved. I flashed GR2 for the look primarily and would not want to lose that.
Any help is appreciated

[Q] Can I keep my AOSP lockscreen after upgrading to a newer rom?

I replaced my stock lockscreen with the AOSP lockscreen with Galaxy S Tweaker while using the stock JPO rom. I can't find the same lockscreen option for JPY in GST, and I think doing so manually is too difficult. Is the AOSP lockscreen going to be kept after I upgraded my phone from JPO to JPY? Thank you very much!!
anyone?
Nope after you upgraded to official XXJPY, you will get Samsung Stock Lockscreen. If you use custom XXJPY rom, it depends what the custom rom gives you. Darky's is using AOSP lockscreen. Nonetheless, you can still do it manually and it's very easy. Download the theme template from here:

Yours should be this one:
Theme template (AOSP lockscreen, XXJPY).

[Q] Theme/mod for JVQ OXEDED STOCK ?

Hi everyone, are there some THEMES or MODS for JVQ Stock Oxeded who I can install on my SGS ?
And how I can make my firmware De-oxeded ? bcoz I saw a lot themes for deoxeded roms..
Odexed theming isn't done and thus you're pretty much forced to get a deodexed ROM.
Easiest way is just flashing one of the ROMs in the Android Development section, most of them have a guide on what to do.
If you just want deodexed stock rom check out Ramad's topic.
Better wait until various issues are ironed out. Until then keep an eye on this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152656
Flash to a deoxeded rom..
I think jkays themes can be used on odexed jvq

[Q] Extended power menu etc. on stock rooted JVQ

Sorry if similar to this has been posted before but i can't find it!
I am running stock I9000XXJVQ rooted with cf-root then latest speedmod kernel installed and i am running touchwiz4.
I would like the asop lockscreen and the extended power menu.
Can this be done on a rooted odexed rom or must it be de-odexed?
Forgive my ignorance but i am a bit of a newby on this device.
If this can be achieved, could some kind soul instruct me or point me in the right direction please?
I tried the same, these patches change framework(library) files, therefore they cause some problems like browser lag etc. I'd rather stay away. Stock untouched JVQ works like a rock.

[Q] Need LOCKSCREENS!!!

Hi All,
I'm using stock XXJVT with latest Semaphore kernel and I'm very happy with the performance. I have used many custom roms before but I didn't like their custom looks and I enjoy using stock theme with only Semaphore kernel.
What I like the most in custom roms that most of them have lockscreens like 4 tab and six tab. There are more than 10 types of famous lockscreens which are very nice.
So I just wanted to know whether there is a way to only install lockscreens on my rooted stock XXJVT rom?
Thanks!

Actually I was looking for something free. I can see custom roms with a lot of new features for free then why can't I have lockscreen for free?

Stock uckk4 locks, quickpanel toggles, & ext power menu

So I've been searching the forums for the following uckk4 mods:
-added lockscreens
-extra quickpanel toggles
-extended power menu
*running stock leaked kk4
Apologizing in advance if to some this is considered a 'dumb' question, but can you flash mods from other roms (e.g., particularly like saurom's mods) to a stock safely, without ending up on a bootloop or soft brick? I know i could just flash a rom that has these built-in and have flashed other custom roms but, always wind up flashing back to stock kk4 leak, so figure might as well stay with it...
Thanks- tjp

Baseband: UCKK4 2.3.5
Kernel: UCKK4 Corn 7.01
The stock ROM needs deodexed...then MAJOR edits to the framework-res.apk, systemui.apk Android.policy.jar, and framework.jar.
By the time you've done all that you pretty much got a custom ROM anyway just with a stock theme...
Update: so i wound up running into some issues after flashing a broken kernel...ended up having to reflash the rom, so decided to go custom and try saurom kk4 (which btw includes all those goodies i was looking for as stated in my previous post) absolutely love this rom! Applied the ics theme & upgraded to corn 7.03, so far cappy is running smooth, fast, with no issues thus far. Highly recommend saurom. To conclude, in the end, did get the mods i was after, just had to sacrifice stock, but have to admit it was well worth it. So, i guess this thread's closed... thanks all :-D
