Just a thank you to all service men and women, Firefighters, Law Enforcement, and all who risk their lives to keep us safe. Also, to the heroes that prevented further destruction on flight 93.
I hope we all take a moment tomorrow to remember those that lost their lives on 9|11.
+1. This should be a sticky.

"9/11 the start of a massacre that's running 10 years strong in 3 countries, it started by terrorist attacking New york to Terrorist attacking Iraq and Afghanistan, Civilian Casualties: NY, USA= 3000, Iraq +Afghanistan =137,000 (just a low estimate), May God be with us all and grant those who suffered due to this tragedy and it's aftereffects patience and hope"
"On 9/11, I'll mourn the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the over 6,000 injuries, the infrastructural carnage and devastation in NYC, and the humiliation of my country, all perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my religion.
On 9/12, I'll mourn the nearly 1,000,000 lives, the 10's of millions of injuries, the infrastructural decimation in 3 countries, and the humiliation of my religion, all perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my country."
Not sure who said either, but I like them both.
On this day of remembrance, my heartfelt sympathies go out to the families of those who lost loved ones on 9/11.
And to those who feel the only way to further their political agenda is through cowardly acts of terror, targeting innocent civilians,
eternal damnation in the fiery pits of hell shall be your reward, not 40 virgins.
lest we forget.
let us dedicate 1 minute of our lives in rememberance to the innovent victims whom have lost their lives

I agree. Let us not forger about ALL the innocent lives that were lost. Here and there. Many more 'there.' And I'm not even talking about people serving our country. 9/11 was terrible, but so has been the response.

And how could retaliation for such an act of terrorism be anything but terrible ??
Can you morons with your anti-war blinders just go away, just for today, please? This is about remembering those lost a decade ago, not discussing how bad you think the response was, or how the US Government is also terroristic.
Start your own thread about the merits of the altercation in the desert. But please, in this thread, just shut the **** up.

Sorry, but I don't believe that this was somehow justified, or the only response, and I'm not sure how you can justify the response to what was a terrible event in NYC.
Its not about 'being terrible' in terms of a response. Its about going into places we didn't need to go and responding by killing countless numbers of innocent women, children and innocent people as a whole.
You can't justify the response. In any way. 9/11 was terrible. What has happened since has been just as much so.

I personally find it pretty disgusting that this thread which was clearly intended by the OP to be one of remembrance has turned into an argument. Go and argue in PMs or something.

This is just another example of how the XDA community as a whole has been getting worse and worse. Great intentions by the OP ruined by people more intent on starting controversy.

You're right. But its hard to ignore what has been going on for the better part of this last decade when you think about 9/11.
A terrible day, without a doubt.

That would be good. I doubt it would happen, but it would be good if it did. I'd put AT&T behind me for a Google wireless carrier when my contract is up.
Take a look at this article

After reading the article I think it would be fantastic if google buys tmo.

I e-mailed both of the NY senators even before XDA has been blacked out. And I tried e-mailing my congresswoman but she claims she doesn't represent my district.

Dear Michal,
Thank you for writing to me regarding S. 968, the PROTECT IP Act of 2011. I understand your concerns.
I am a cosponsor of this legislation because I believe that we must protect American intellectual property against foreign websites that infringe upon our rights. By empowering the Attorney General of the United States to go after foreign infringing websites, this legislation becomes a necessary tool to ensure that U.S. companies remain competitive in the world marketplace. I recognize that there are technical concerns with the enforcement of this bill that need to be addressed. I am committed to working with my colleagues in the United States Senate to ensure that this legislation protects the Constitutional rights of Americans and does not stifle lawful free speech or innovation on the internet.
Thank you again for writing to express your concerns, and I hope that you keep in touch with my office regarding future legislation. For more information on this and other important issues, please visit my website at http://gillibrand.senate.gov and sign up for my e-newsletter.
Sincerely,
Kirsten E. Gillibrand
United States Senator

Seriously people. If only you got so worked up about your country and politics the world would be a better place. Enough with the petitions. Vote with your dollars.

Just a suggestion but I would report the problem threads to the moderators to lock them rather than opening a new thread to get your point across.
This way is more fun. Have you sent a complaint to moderators yet?
Just don't reply to the threads and let them die a natural death.

I find it very amusing while shopping to ask sales representatives questions about phones that they really should know if they consider themselves 'knowledgeable sales representatives', of course I already know the answers but they dont. Easy things ranging from "which version of sense is this?" to"what does this thing have for a processor?". I guess I get a kick out of baffling people in thier own turf. Anybody else have a stupid niche like me lol?
