1930mAh battery

Can I use a 4.2v battery in my X8? The current battery is 3.7v and I believe the phone charges using 4.2v.
It would be a great find as this battery is 1930mAh and it is the same size as the original unlike the other battery on the market that requires an adapted case.
cgi.ebay.ie/GOLD-EP500-BATTERY-SONY-ERICSSON-Vivaz-U5-U5i-U8i-/250751172655?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a61ef402f#ht_2605wt_1257
My advice, don't buy it. It is a fake that is nowhere close to 1930mAh.
saw the battery with 1500 mAh with little bigger size.
But with 4.2v - it may works.
I prefer to buy only original parts for your mobile X8. Otherwise will it not work I think, but im not sure.
Of course it works.. Although, it's recommended official batteries..
Sent from my E15i using XDA App
I've heard that unofficial batteries can explode, melt or not work at all.
Much better if you use original batteries, bec different batteries have different specs (or output current) which might have bad effects on your phone when you use it.
I have it !
I have this battery only for two days. But now I think this "gold 1930mAh battery is better than original. It is my subjective impress. But time of standby on battery is about 30hours and level of battery is 19% now.
usage of battery :
about 3-4 min phoning
about 2hours of playing music in ear phones
3G or EDGE was on all time - gmail
about 15 min surfing
about 5 min in facebook app
about 20 sms - all via internet ( application )
I THING - you cant do this with orig battery.
I will test phone and i will tell you my experience.
But now I can say - it was good deal for me !!!
X8 is a good mobile of Sony Ericcson and my Advice for you if you want to buy this mobile the buy its original parts otherwise don,t buy because i have use it so many times but it was not original so therefore its battery timing was bad .
i think its fake...
Is it true ? my x8 should be life for 3 day with 1930 mAh

Hahahahaha. Are you saying my phone will go flat after 5 mins of using the facebook app?
just to share with you guys, i bought the "1920mah gold battery" mentioned by TS. It works perfectly well with X8. I used it for a week so far, no problems with it yet.
Physically, it feels a bit lighter than the stock EP500 battery, and it definitely does not live up to the 1920mah as stated. I personally feel that this gold battery can last about as long as the stock battery, definitely not more.
So if you are looking for a cheap alternative battery for your x8, and dont mind the risks involved in using non-official SE battery, this might work for you. Else i suggest you stick to the original ones.
where did you get the "1920mah gold battery" shipping? or store? how much.? just asking,,,
I'm glad that you tried the battery ,and find no problem.Maybe I can have a try ..

umm... Then you would never recommend going for a custom firmware or anything that would void SE's warranty, and cling to the stupid base firmware that the SE proudly provides in its x8!... well, in that case, ...damn, there's no emotion for this one!
I don't think so it is true
handsfree very poor..
casing from plastic ..
ever think original battery also low level class??
in out there already battery with more extreme than this one, and i think will not give bad effect as long it design to x8.
remember all electronic part having maximum voltage n ampere tolerance,
i mean they can handle unstandart voltage n ampere..
effect like warm or explode is not because voltage, but because fault product, wrong operations, and cell shortcut (because we use this battery non stop)
i think original battery work fine.. it help me test bug from app as well.. if it drain fast.. so it must be app problem

I got it in ebay, many stores are selling. Just do a search in ebay for 'ep500 gold battery' and you can look for the cheapest to be shipped to your country.

Mugen 1800mah battery

http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...xperia-x1-1800mah-extra-eros-akkumulator.html
Stock battery physical size, 300mah extra, the Xperia X10 & Xperia Play share the same battery
I prefer Seidio over Mugen but Seidio does not seem to support Sony Ericson devices.
I emailed their office to see if they will make a back for the Xperia Play for their 3600mah battery listed below, I got them to at least forward the request to their R&D department.
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...ed-replacement-battery-with-battery-door.html
Certainly would buy a 3600mah battery, don;t think i'd buy the 1800mah though, maybe when the stock battery gets old after some years.
I much admit I would like a larger battery.
3600 may not be my choice, current xperia play is abit thick... dont want to add on to the back..
highly consider 1800 as it can keep the same size...
but agree with svenk919, will get it when the stock batt is dead

official 3600 mah extended battery with back from mugen-power
are ou tof your mind?!
you guys are crazyy! you are paying so much for such stupid battery and it makes the device look like ****. I say go on ebya and buy 2 of those fake but okay batteries that look jus like the original one and work 75% of the original one. they come with a charger and you can charge phone and an extra battery together. it costs 1/5 of wat you are buying!
although i kno its not fun to open the back panel!
here is one:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/2x-BST-41-Batter...ccessories&hash=item2eb54d88bf#ht_1261wt_1082
or you can get this 5000mah battery that looks good too. u can use it for other phones and stuff as well. ~ even this one is cheaper than that stupid badlooking battery!
http://cgi.ebay.ca/5000-mAh-Externa...Accessories&hash=item2a104b6470#ht_5535wt_849
No sane person is going to carry around an external brick to save money. Additionally, most of us who want a bigger capacity battery don't LIKE carrying additional accessories. I mean, lets be honest. If the 5000mah battery was really an option, I would probaby carry my PSP and a thinner android device around instead. And seriously, 100$ for a 2.5x capacity battery is par for the course. Im not saying that I think thats a fair price, Im just saying, people are prepared to pay setting market value. Not every decision for every person hinges around cost.

2430Mah battery (same size as stock)

Since i upgraded from my htc dream which had a custom japan made 2430 Mah battery iv been searching for the same thing for my O2x and iv found it.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2430MAH-F...069?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2eb76a1fad
Its the same asize as the original battery so no gay larger backs for the phone just longer life and more time gaming and browsing, just dont buy them all ill be getting one in a couple of days.
Since they have the tech to put more power into small sized batterys it makes me wonder why these big phone makers dont use these higher capacity batterys instead of giving you some peice of **** that barely lasts a few hours of real use.
If the tech really were available within the requirements and safety measures the big manufacturers would surely deploy it.
This battery probably has nowhere near the advertised capacity, comes without the necessary safety measures like the stock ones and will decline greatly over time.
If you want premium tech you have to pay premium prizes, and while there might be some better bang-per-buck deals, this one sounds to good to be true, so I wouldn't trust it until someone confirms the battery really has that much juice.
Just my 2 cents
Oh why not check it out?
Ordering one now, will tell you all about how it perform as soon as I get it.
I already have confirmed it works did you bother to read my post i bought this battery from the same seller for my htc dream and had bit for a year and it last for almost 2 days with a lot of use, i can't say for sure that this one for the o2x will work as well but its from the same seller and its the same brand of battery from japan so I'm confident and will order one soon.
Remember its made in japan where standards must be kept it isn't from china.

No its not crap idiot...
Of course shoddy goods can be produced anywhere but they cannot label them as better than they are that only happens in places like china.
China regually change disk type and spoof them as better brands for sales and clone well known products like the psp and iphone and release crap labbled as psp or iphone this cant be done in japan and western countrys and thats the same kind of thing as labbeling a 2430Mah battery when its only a 1300Mah battery so im not worried as i said i already tried one of these gold premium batterys and it worked fine.
So continue with your scepticism and lose out i dont care.
And remember that when you get a new battery sometimes you need drain the battery then delete battery stats and recharge it or it will appear as tho the battery drains faster than a stock battery and if the stats think the battery is empty it will shutdown.
great find, thanks a lot for sharing.
i ordered one as well since im so sick to having permanent paranoya of running out of juice if i cant plug the device for a couple of hours....

Let's see after some months of usage, I'm usually very skeptic for those batteries with ultra high capacity (1A/h something like 75% more) at those prices.
Producers are not a bunch of idiots, IMO those batteries are simply not good enough.

Please restrain your self from using insults.
As rusty mentioned any country can make crap. And sell them for "some thing they ain't". As you seems to refer a lot to china. It might be a chines battery with a fake label. Wouldn't be the first time. Or the label might have a typo, like I hope your capital M is in all the Mah. Since: M= Mega ,m=mili. Should be written mAh.
Also since the battery is a Li-ion battery be careful with charging it, since if they get overcharged/overheated they explode. Li-ion battery explosion
And I know that the stock is Li-ion to but hopefully of a higher quality.
Well mine is on the way. Guess it will take a week or so, but I will update from day one how it performs.
If the tech is available, the phone manufacturers will definitely use. Longer juice means more profit.
i ordered it as well, i will post an update as soon as i get it.
13 pounds sounds good since, the 3450 bat is 35 + cover....
just my thoughts....

Most rechargable batterys are Li-ion....you know this means lithium right.... 9 out of 10 rechargable batterys use this tech including the stock and they do not explode when overcharged they have chips that stop them overcharging and even with the super cheap version iv never seen one that didnt come with this even cheaper overcharging chip.
But AGAIN i already said i tried one of those 2430mah batterys with my htc dream and the battery life was doubled from the stock battery and i regually overcharged the phone overnight....no explosion. How about we just wait and see what people who have ordered one report.
In case your brain cant comprehend what you are seeing but that guy intentianally made that battery explode and very likely took apart all the safety features before doing it.
My theory on why phone manufacturers dont use higher capacity batterys is cost they want to make the most profit from their phones so why pay higher prices for better batterys when they can get low capacity ones for dirt cheap prices and slap huge price tags on their phones, if they are paying mass stock prices of £8 per battery for 1920mah or 2430mah instead of £1-£2 for crap batterys then that adds up for each unit they sell. Less cost in production means more profit.
For those that want there are a few other threads on other devices for this "brand" of batteries.
HTC Dream: G1
HTC Sensation
Samsung Galaxy S I9000
There's a shock.

There's a level of respect and decor that you should maintain in this forum. It makes me wonder if you're some hired salesman from ECell, but that's just speculation and not an accusation.
For the people that ordered this battery, please do give a report of how this performed.Tell us about how hot it gets while charging, what are the battery stats like, and how much real time usage does it give you.
I'm a heavy user and sometimes the battery wont last a day. I will report in how it performs as soon as I get it, so no worries

Ill respond to someone in the same manner that they reply to me if they cant handle it then they should learn to deal with people better.
No i couldnt care less if you think im a hired salesman or some crap i used this battery before on a different phone and battery life was increased alot from stock i dont know if these batterys are just relabbled crap and i got lucky and got a 1930mah battery but in any case i got alot more time from the battery i got than from the stock so it was worth it.
Temp didnt rise much more than stock around 35c while charging up to about 41-42 if i was using at the same time. But that was the htc dream and was an old phone that phone got hot from normal use anyway because the cpu was almost always at full load.

Mugen Power 4600 mah and 2500 mah batteries for ZR

So while randomly trawling the Internet for accessories for the ZR, I stumbled on this.
Mugen Power has come up with two batteries for the zr. The 4600 mah version comes with a battery door of course, while the 2500 mah one promises to fit into the existing back cover but for $44, doesn't quite make sense to spend that much money on a battery that will give you 9% more battery life.
I thought about getting the 4600 mah battery (deliveries begin in the first week of September) but two things held me back:
1. Will the new back door support nfc and the waterproofing? Not sure about this. The website doesn't have any proper images.
2. The phone looks like a whale.
What do you guys think?

I think it's have to look like a whale bro.., its still a 4600 mAh battery
For the waterproofing, i saw a video on YouTube of the mugen power batteries of the Xperia V, which he's design similar to the ZR, n they say the back cover they provide with the battery is keeping on the waterproof feature, n water can't get inside..
So u don't need to afraid man.. otherwise u can get one of this n be careful not to be around water..
Still here
N!geR -> E!ch0
I am at one step for make this purshase, and I have the same questions...
Does anyone tasted it? working nfc and waterproof?
Thanks for your answers
I had the Mugen-battery to my Xperia V and I was truly disappointed about the door.
It could fall off in my pocket without any reason.
The sealing looked like original but I couldnt rely on the waterproof quality.
The battery itself worked as expected!

They should make something like a 3000mah that doesn't look like your phone swallowed another one. I could live with a 2-3cm more but this is ridiculous.
Also something like this will be much more good looking.

Really interested in the actual capacity of the batteries. Which are fakes? Which are real? Can people who bought them post them here?
I bought the 2600mah for $4 on ebay seller u daily. Its actual capacity is about half of that.
I bought a 2800mah for $5 from ebay seller niking niking and its actual capacity is seems to be close to the original 2300mah, a bit less.

I went by how fast the battery % it fell. the 2800mah(niking-niking) for $5 is still pretty good for the price considering the capacity is slightly less than the original battery(probably 2200~2300).
Avoid this battery...
There are too many bad, cheap batteries being sold. I decided to buy one just for the sake of it and it performed horribly. It came in a sealed plastic wrap with the "BA950" word and an Android logo, nothing else. The battery was made really poorly. The wrap is made of paper (yes, paper) and the specs don't match the real capacity. My phone turned off at about 55% every time and the charging time was 90 min. It has a Sony Ericsson logo :silly: and an "A&J" sticker (brand?) on the back and a very bad SONY one on the front. It costs 5 bucks, but believe me, you don't want to buy it. Save those bucks for a better battery instead. You have been warned

Vinsic Tulip 6000 mah power bank - Review.

So I’ve had the chance to get my hands on the Vinsic power bank, I must say it looks great.
The device itself is portable and really small, getting the silver color for such a low price was amazing, I’m using it on my Galaxy S6 Edge and it works wonders. I didn’t expect it to be such a good device, it gives it that continuous boost that everybody is looking for today.
I know everybody is probably wondering does it charge fast enough and how heavy and what not it is, I must say it is nearly maybe like a few minutes slower than the standard charger that comes with the phone which means it continues to use the turbo charge feature and works well.
The device itself is very light doesn’t even seem like it’s there, I don’t usually use power banks because I have high amped chargers everywhere including my house and car. So this was a surprise purchase to just see how everything works. Now I usually just use this and don’t plug my phone into my car.
It was a good purchase, I think you guys would enjoy it as well check them out at this link if you want if not then I guess have a good day.
