No data - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

I just got an HTC Vivid today because my Nexus S died, so I bought it off contract from Best Buy and for some reason I cannot get any mobile data what so ever, I have tried resetting the phone twice and creating a new APN but still no data. Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

You need to call them to have your data plan properly provisioned for LTE and the 4g SIM. That will fix it.

Edited because I forgot which device forum I was in.

No I didn't...I feel stupid now cause this would make a lot of sense, I will stop by an AT&T store tomorrow and try that...I feel really retarded for not catching that at best buy

Actually BB is retarded for not advising you of and providing you with the proper SIM and data plan.

You should be able to do it all on the phone but going into the store might be a good idea especially if you have unlimited data.

Went to the store and everything is sorted out now. Thanks for the help. Now just have to hope some roots this thing and unlocks the bootloader so the real fun can start.

$50 a month unlimited everything!!!!

So I switched to pre paid and I'm loving it. I get the same speeds as on a plan,(my area sucks) but unlimited data, for less money. 2 thumbs up!
What carryer you on? What was the specific plan?
So that we may all have a lookieloo and benefit from your shared joy
AT&T $50 unlimeted go phone. Buy a crappy phone activate it and then put the sim in your thrill, but you gota activate it on the crappy phone. Don't tell them your using a smart phone.
Or straight talk for 45/mo
Just order an att compatible sim card from them and your good yo go... full 4g
And so I have spoken it.. and so it shall be.
What r u running I just got one on prepaid stock it doesn't work on data.

I'm running thrillseeker. If you activate the sim through the thrill then att knows your on a smart phone and want to charge you extra for data. activate the sim through an old crappy go phone and it will work.
Never knew that!
Just a quick question, If I got a Skyrocket. Activated on a crappy phone, then got the prepaid thing for AT&T would I get 4G LTE speeds if my area has it or no.. Thank you
IDK? Not sure how all that works? The pre paid card says 3g???

ARHD 10.1 Help with constant data switching

Maybe someone can help me. Clean flashed to ARHD 10.1 a week ago and am having an issue with constantly dropping my data connections. My phone is pretty much constantly going from LTE to 4g to no data connection when not on WiFi. I'm on AT&T. Anything I can do? I'm not a pro at anything beyond basic Rom flashing. Thinking of just going back to stock. Thanks for any help!

I had this happen before. I turned off my HTC One, used the SIM tool, removed the SIM and reinserted the SIM and it fixed my data issues. Maybe that'll work. Hope that helps.
Edit: I did this to fix a data connectivity issue on my HTC One when I flashed an RUU.

I just flashed the newest version of ARHD (that's android revolution HD, for the person who asked) 10.2 and don't seem to be having the issue anymore. I'm not sure if it had something to do with only being able to select the international version during Aroma install on 10.1, or what was going on. Might have also been a combination of things. At any rate, i figured I'd post in here, as I'm trying to get my post count up, so I can post in forums actually dedicated to the Roms. Cheers, everyone! :good:

Haha I also came from iPhone to the HTC One. I'm seeing a lot of former iPhone guys on here. I always said that the day an android phone had the build quality of the iPhone, I was switching. And here I am!

Los Angeles area. I work in the valley paicoma, and there's good lte connection there..I had the iPhone 5 and I would get lte, then I switch to galaxy note 2 and I would also get lte, now I'm using the HTC one and I don't get lte, does anyone knows if there's a fix....thanks in advance

I am in the same boat as you. I am in the LA area, and I had good signal in my neighborhood too. However, I can't connect with LTE either, even when I stand next to the tower.
The most weird thing is: I went to the store fore return. When I hit the store, my phone works with LTE outside of the store. I have to go home. Now my phone still has no LTE connection.
It looks like that it is Sprint or HTC software issue. I had no clue what to do though.

Call Sprint customer care and have them check your UICC ID under settings/about/phone identity. I had exchanged my phone and this number didn't update and caused me to not get 4g when others had it. Its the same number as your SIM ID and is required to match your phone. Seems to be a common issue with setting up the HTC One since is has a SIM Card. They may argue with you that its for International only....tell them I understand that but you have seen others with this problem and that their UICC ID numbers did not match on the account and that its required to make 4g work.
Ok, thanks

Yea you have to call them with confidence that you know what the issues are. And in markets they have not launched yet just explain that data is very bad on this phone and you get a lot of dropped calls. Then just ask them to please verify the numbers on your account with the phone....and especially the UICC ID.
I live in LA as well, and I only get LTE in a few different specific areas. Should I call them to make sure all of my numbers are correct? Is there anything else I can do?

My next guess was a NSA tag..
We have an older LG Phone that my son uses to play games on. It does not have service, he just uses it with the wifi. He gets a similar message.
LTE: ESM-0 EMM-19
EHRPD:1
MIP : 67
Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
Thanks,
Id bet its just a way for the friggin cell phone folks harassing us to pay them money to keep phones on and avoid the constant bull ****! Just more gain for the money folks and more bull **** gain for us the ppl that have 20 non service cell phones to have to be hendered by these fools wanting more money. Id bet theres is no end to the message. Unless you pay them more money!

Worth buying cheap used htc one?

I got won an auction for htc one $150 but it is untested. Like I plan on using it abroad on gsm so I dont care if it is blacklisted it isnt by the way according to swappa.
My only problem is even though the seller has stated the touch screen works fine and okayish in terms of wear and tear.
It is a completely untested phone otherwise.
My only concern is if I buy this at this price and how much will it cost to repair essentials which might not work
microphone, speakers, and wifi
thats pretty much it
the seller is a high volume trader with around 4000 feedbacks so I doubt he is lying about not checking the device himself.
the fact that these things dont work is an if
what do you guys think is it worth the risk? for $150 htc one sprint silver
Don't plan on using abroad, if I understand correctly, and I think I doo.

could you please clarify why? I did my research apparently sprint has gsm radios for international travel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704
this thread also allows you to unlock the sim for free
If your concern is the possiblilty of lack of 3g dont worry I live in a country where 3g wont come for another year
Well, apparently that may work, limitation being, if you wanna not use sense, the sim lock or unlock, is irrelevant.
