No, not receiving but if you don't want to wait use cabsender (offline) to update your firmware. I use stock RUU_Schubert_S_HTC_Europe_5.10.401.04_Radio_5.71.0 9.02a_22.51.50.21 which I have recooked leaving everything like stock but with full unlock. After flashing the recooked rom I've used cabsender to update to my native language (dutch) and the 7.10.7740 update cab. HSPL didn't change and I've kept my full unlock. Current firmware 7.10.7740.16 revision firmware 2250.21.51004.401 radio 5.71.09.02a_22.51.21u
In your case it is best to downgrade your spl and to hspl first and to do an offline update with cabsender because of the risk to end up with a 5.X bootloader which can't be hspl'd at the moment and a downgrade is also impossible with that bootloader.
Also when starting with your rom revision you will probably won't get internet sharing in settings. I've tried that with the same rom revision and hspl, and after the offline 7740 update with cabsender I ended up with the 7.10.7740.16 revision .... without the internet sharing in settings.

Thanks for the hint, and as although I haven't received yet the official Zune notification, I'd prefer to continue waiting for it. I hope I’ll continue being patience!
Thanks again.

I just got the 7740.16 MS update but not yet the HTC firmware update.

Hi BetoX,
I have the same software version and recently installed 7740.16, but no HTC update.
Contacted HTC support a few times,
1st answer was 'The Internet Sharing option is only for new devices that ship with Windows Phone 7.5' wtf!
2nd answer was 'We do not have official confirmation as to whether your device will receive this update'.
Contacted WindowsPhoneSupport next,
they said the Internet Sharing update is determined by Mobile Operator and OEM, it has nothing to do with them.
If HTC requires Mobile Operator approval for this feature update, this could mean there's no unbranded firmware to come.
We may need to rebrand to either T-Mobile or O2.
Don't know where to begin on that, just need to make sure the phone remains unlocked because I'm not on either of those networks.
Picked up my HD7 on eBay, it arrived unbranded and unlocked to work with Wind Mobile up here in Canada.

So, I decided to install since my Zune app prompted me to upgrade. Nothing (almost) changed. I see not a different functionality change and they only 'visible' change is on the Firmware revision.
BEFORE: Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51003.531
AFTER: Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51004.531
Nothing else changed (radio, bootloader, OS, etc.)

[Q] Please Help!!!!

hello.. i'm from india and just got my new htc hd7 three days back.. my phone details are as below..
OS version: 7.0.7392.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.09.16901.707
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U

Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Can anyone please tell me how to jailbreak my phone and how to install third party apps?? cause there is no marketplace support here in india.. PLease Help..
You have to revert back to a pre-nodo rom(7004). Unlock with chevron. Apply the prevent relock hack. Upgrade back to nodo(7392) via zune. Then install touchxplorer and setup a custclear.provxml in the windows directory to unlock mango(7.1.7661) if you wanted to upgrade to mango beta. If not your now unlocked on nodo
All info for this is under windows phone 7 dev. and hacking forum

[Q] Please help

I have HTC HD7 UK O2 phone...when i am using windows phone developer application to deploy any application to my phone it returns with error - This phone is developer locked. After this i have tried ChevronWP7.exe tool but no luck. I have tried everything mentioned in all forums here - modifying registry entry, host file blah blah but still no luck.
My phone details : -
Model : HTC HD7 T9292
Software Windows Phone7
OS Version - 7.0.7401.0
Firmware revision number : 2250.09.16901.206
Hardware revision number : 0002
Radio software version : 5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U
Radio hardware version : A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version : 1.69.2250.0(117833)
Chip SOC version : 2.2.5.0
Please advise for any ROM with unlock...any idea on how to get it dev unlocked...
Thanks a million to all friends
Rollback
Hi Sandeep027,
The dev unlock can only be carried from the original O/S revision to NoDo and then to Mango, it looks like your handset has been updated before the unlock was applied and now you cannot unlock it.
You can either roll back to a previous Zune backup from the original O/S revision and unlock using chevron, then follow the guides to update whilst keeping the handset unlocked (reg fix). Or you can apply a custom ROM from ansar (some are already dev unlocked)
Take a look at the WP7 general forums and read up on what it is that you want to do, there are some very clever people in there who have put together detailed guides on how to do this.
Hope this helps,
Creamy
Thanks
Thanks a lot my friend...could you be so kind to advise me on how to go about this as i don't have any zune restore point...
To unlock your gonna have to flash a pre-nodo rom. Unlock with chevron, apply prevent relock hack, update to nodo via Zune, look for my thread in wp7 general to have mango unlocked after update via Zune. In my opinion ansar hasnt done anything but post official roms he has found and copied work without giving credit. Day after I posted provxml method to unlock mango he posted it,taking credit. Day after cotulla posted hspl he posted slspl... Huh

if you want to unlock your phone with chevron you need to downgrade to 7004 or 7008.
firstly install hspl from the link below..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
then install this rom..

I think installing RSPL is more than enough for laymen like us.

[Q] Phone region and version help.

I got my HD7 which was listed as 'New' from an eBay shop in the UK. Everything is fine on the phone but noticed the location was set to Australia as default. I changed these to UK, but I cannot change the keyboard setting as the only option is 'English - US'. I also went to the radio settings and all I can choose is 'North America, World and Japan'. Does this make any difference to the radio? It does seem rather poor and can only pick up one station which is BBC Radio 1 and even that is hit and miss.
The 'about' page has this information;
HTC HD7 T9292
OS Version: 7.0.7392.0
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.30102.707
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.65.09.25a_22.45.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 3.1.2250.0(119314)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
I've no idea on flashing phones and was going to wait for official Mango update but was just hoping someone could confirm the phone is 'normal' and that flashing to another ROM won't make any significant difference. If it will then I have a lot of reading to do
Thanks

New Firmware HD7

Please delet if double posted.
Sorry, Only got a minute to come here and say HD7 has a firmware update out now via Zune. I am downloading as we speak. Don't know yet if it is Zune fix or Wi-fi tether, will try to report back later.
I am using unbranded HD7 in UK.
Update: Doesn't appear to be an obvious option for tethering, am playing a known problem album now to see if phone resets. If it plays the whole album I will assume that is fixed and report back.
I t would seem the Zune crash is fixed, I had a guaranteed fail at a certain point in an album and have played past that. Only time will tell if this is a full fix but all good so far. xD

do you think with this update, whit boot version 5, restore the bootloader?
but i don't find this update on zune...

which carrier and model do you have?
Anybody on O2 in the UK or Ireland getting firmware updates?
There was the regular firmware update shortly after the Mango update a few weeks ago that enabled the compass etc for Marketplace mango apps.
There is now supposed to be a firmware update that enables Internet Connection Sharing as O2 allows ICS without additional data plans; of course their support team have no idea what I'm talking about when I ask them when the ICS firmware update is due for my HD7.
USB tethering is working fine for now but it's a bit inconvenient having to constantly reboot between tethering and Zune mode.
Banding is gone
16-bit banding image is gone after this firmware update. Very nice looking indeed!

[Help] HTC HD7 Custom Rom

Hello, I have an HTC HD7 that I recently bought. Discovered all the unlocking methods have went down so I only have the option to flash to a custom ROM now.
My phone details are as follows:
OS version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number: 2250.21.51202.531
Hardware revision number: 0002
Radio software version: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.12.0.D4
Bootloader version: 5.12.2250.0(135916)
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Sorry if I posted too much details but I don't know which ones matter so yeah. Thanks to anyone who replies and I'd really love to get some links with procedures if it's doable. New on WP7 so a total noob!
try the tutorial; link in my signature.
At the step where I have to download a Nodo or Pre-Nodo firmware, can I download any of those provided in the list for TMOUS as I have a T-Mobile US unlocked phone?

yes, as long at it is a the same 'branding' as your 'stock' device.
so, if your device is TMOUS branded then any Pre-Mango TMOUS should be fine.
