hey!
is there any possible way to change the regular CM7 battery indicator style to something else ..like circular percentage display or maybe something else?
download themes for cm7
There is no way to change without installing themes?
Yes u can edit framework-res.apk and set ur desired battery icon
I find how to change battery icon in CM 7.1
Go to settings -> cyanogenMod -> interface -> edit status bar -> battery style
here you can hide, set to percentage or use default icon
hope it helps

I was wondering if there is a simple guide to remove the battery icon completely from the status bar. My search has so far shown me links for sense based roms only. I am currently running enom's rom and would appreciate a heads up as to the name of the jar or services file within the rom that controls the icons.
thanks in advance.
You could open up the framework res, open the icon files and just erase the contents and resave. Then just make a metamorph with the empty files.
I would rather remove it completely...replacing with transparent icons will put an empty spot on the status bar.
I'm interested to remove the clock from the status bar!!
Any idea?
You can hide the clock if you're using CyanogenMod.
As for battery, I'd like to know that too as I'm using an app that shows battery in the status bar already, so system battery icon is redundant.
How can I install CyanogenMod? I use a stock rom
I just updated my N1 to CM7-RC1 this afternoon and I noticed there is no longer any way to access my status bar customization settings like you could in CM6.1.
Is there anywhere it could have moved to or is there any other way to do it?
I had all of the colors on the status bar changed to my liking and now I can't go back to get them back to the way I like them.
Can anyone out there help me out?
There is no such option (yet).
Any idea when the option will be added? I'm going crazy without it!
Not sure about the colour but other customizations like widget buttons and widget button order are under:
Settings --> CyanogenMod Settings --> Interface --> Notification Power Widget
Not all the status bar options made it from cyan 6. I'm still missing the dBm signal meter, etc. Maybe someday.
How to change the battery icon and signal/wifi ?
i have ROM toolbox and i used it to change my batter/signal/wifi icons but for a weird reason , the new icons are only shown when i enable WIFI , but when i disable it they return back to stock ( grey )
any idea ?
This is really bugging me...
Using the stock options to choose status bar icons you can disable the battery icon. Stuff like percentage/stamina are subsets of the battery icon.
However, when you expand the status bar (by dragging it down) it reappears! Funnily enough the percentage/stamina tick boxes are remembered so I can change whether they come up or not by changing the option before greying them out by disabling the battery icon)
This is rather annoying as I'm using xposed for the sweet round battery icon with percentage in the middle. But if the status bar is expanded, I now have 2 battery icons...and also the lightning bolt when charging...
Had same problem on 2 custom roms (MX & striker kai .236 stock based roms).
Had a long scroll through xposed for some various system UI modifiers but didn't find anything.
Any solutions would be appreciated ^^
if you want to change only icon of battery then use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lfprodev.xposed.xstana&hl=en it will overlay stock icons !!!!!!
I'm on Android 9 and I can see the status bar icons for various things are not the same size.
Some examples:
The battery icon is shorter than the mobile data icon
The wifi icon is shorter than the battery icon
The refresh rate icon is shorter than the battery icon
I have searched on how to change these to be the same height on the status bar, and I have been trying to find the source files in framework-res.apk, to no avail. I have checked for apps that can change the icons, but most of the icons do not change. I have tried some Substratum themes, and some icons still do not get changed properly.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how these icons can be modified?
For anyone running Android 10, can you share this file?
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
