cpu setting - Samsung Galaxy Mini

how to setting my GM CPU...up to 600mhz i am using cm7 music edition v1.1

be more specific pls

GM is exactly 600mhz, why did u wanted to set 600 if gm was 800
=_="

Did u already flash oc kernel?u need to flash oc kernel 1st..then u can use no frills or cpu master or set cpu to set ur frequency..

[Q] is there a rom that can be stable overclock on the 806 frequency?

I use gingerdx v12 and can sometimes restart itself (unstable)
Look the best of your processor oc.
If you get reboot at 806, it mean your device can't oc to 806
If you bestest overclock, i mean like your best oc is 768, that mean you only can oc from 0 Mhz (??) -- > 768 Mhz
Not connect with your rom!
Hit thanks if i helped you!
Edit: Also wrong thread section, it must at Q&A

Post questions in q&a section.
Each phone has different maximum overclock frequency. The rom doesn't matter, the phone does.
processor might be working harder,i'm affraid overclocking my phone in 800mhz..
i think oc in 710 should be nice and stable but batery drains more faster

Although there might be a relationship between ROM and Overclock Stability, repeated test on various ROMS still gets me the same OC max of 748Mhz.
Please note that overclockability of the CPU depends on the CPU. Not all CPU's of the same make are equal. the design of our X8 called for a 600Mhz CPU clock, so it goes that it will be and always be stable at 600 Mhz. However go more than that and you have no guarantee at which Max Clock you will get. If you could go to 800 without FC and/or reboots then consider yourself very lucky.
for me.. i can't go far.. im using GingerCruzt.. and it has an option on overclocking.. once i checked the overclocked my phone reboots always..
I can overclock with the Gingercruzt v7.3 oc module to 806Mhz, and it's not restart. Doxianh module i can max 768Mhz
Sorry for my english :S

I can confirm OC @806Mhz with GC OC module (instead of DX's), running on MiniCM7 2.0.7...stable.
hmm when i using gingerDX v11, i tried overclock to 806Mhz and it stable for a while, but in 5 minutes i think, my device get reboot...
all roms can stable at 787Mhz in my device.. no reboot no force close... just stable and smooth, but battery drain

[Q] Min. CPU speed won't go down to 100MHz

Current ROM: [ROM][4.0.4] RemICS v1.2 (Team Remics) [17.06.2012]
The min. CPU speed won't go down to less than 200MHz, this problem have occoured to me in other ROMS also.
Using other apps than the internal ROM CPU controll does not work.
Have anyone else solved this problem?
I see now that both 100MHz and 200MHz is 950 mV, maybe this something to do with my problem?
Are you using stock kernel or any other?
Using the kernel provided in the Remics' rom, used the kernel cleaning script before install.
The kernel is NMICS. That's what I found out in the Remics thread
Well, I can only recommend u to try some other kernels eg. devil, semaphore, glitch...
This is not a problem.. in mnics and semaphore the min cpu is 200 mhz when gpu active... but it goes to 100 mhz when gpu inactive.... use application cpu spy for more details

Help for better option in ROM Kernel and no frills cpu governer and i/o scheduler

Can anyone help me regarding rom and kernel file combination i should use for totally lag free phone. Currently my phone hangs and get reboot automatically without any reason anytime especially when multitasking. Subway surfer game also not running smooth. Also help me choose governer and i/o scheduler in no frills cpu.
Currently i am using indian firmwere with cocore 7.0.

I'm on HarshJelly v2 and CoCore E 7.0. No lag,Game run smoothly (Riptide GP 2 even with 800MHz CPU Max Limit) I use Smartassv2/PegusuQ with sio.

Hi,
Could you tell me how to set the CPU max frequency limit, please?
I've already try with tasker own CPU control task and even with shell script (i.e. echo frequency > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq) and it doesn't work at all
I'm on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and with co-core 8.2
Thanks in advance

Don't know if this is trivial but...
Use an app like No-frills CPU, it should work

I've been using PegasusQ as recommended. But with CoCore 8.2 after the first screen off/on PegasusQ disable cpu1 and only one single cpu is running all the time (in this case the cpu0). It can be verified with next shell script:
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/online
0
I though that PegasusQ will enable the cpu1 after the screen is turned on again or during high use but it seems that its not the case which means that I'm using my phone as single core processor all the time.
Then I decided to use smartassv2 as both cpus are running.

(overclock) freeze when i try to increase the cpu frequency

phone freezes when i trying to increase the frequency in antutu cpu master, it freezes right at the moment i click Apply.
minimum frequency doesn't crash but maximum frequency crashes when i increase it and click apply.
can i know what is the problem.
running on
HTC incredible s S-Off | hboot 2.0 blackrose
ROM: Miui 3.11.29
Kernel: tesco
android version: 4.1.2
recovery: 4ext
i increase cpu frequency from 1024mhz to 1200mhz. the moment i click apply in antutu cpu master free. the screen freezes.
tried using set cpu too, freezes at 1200mhz too. why is it like this? is it because of my tesco kernel?
i saw many ics users are on above 1000mhz without any problem ._. i cant even go beyond 1024mhz.

Your device can't handle the overclock
Try increase the voltages for that

after few testing, it appears that Tesco kernel will straight give me freeze when i try to increase from max:1024mhz to 1200mhz.
changed to g11 kernel, am now on 1305mhz. plus, smoothass governor, will directly freeze if i swap to smoothass.
so currently its ondemand.
glad that you tried to help me thx.

[Q] Can't change CPU freqvency?!

I'm on stock XXAMG4 rooted rom. Root works but I can't change CPU freq. I tried SETCpu and NoFrills but neither works. Only thing I can change is governor. I don't want to overclock my device, I want to set min. 400 mhz and max. 800 mhz but when I select those freqvency nothing happens.
Any tip?

use a kernel that allows you to set a frequency
I would never think of that...

stock kernel is very limited
there are a two modified stock kernels that you can try just remember to do the backups

Got it. When Power saving mod is active I can change cpu clock whatever I want.
