Well, first i have to say two things:
1. Sorry for my english...
2. Maybe there is something like this, but i searched a lot before posting here
There is a way to put this bootanimation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYXiKWwp0DQ in QVGA (240x320, if i'm right) without resizing ALL of the images that is composed? Or something automatic?
P.S.: I have on my Galaxy mini CM 7, but with another bootanimation and i was asking for a port
have u tried to edit desc.txt ?i think only edit desc.txt ,not resizing the images
edit for ur screen fix
It doesn't works...

I tried this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038192
but images aren't so good....

how can i make it ?
Please elaborate more so that others can help you
i want to build my own bootscreen.. like the stock perception boot screen.. i already did my picture on the same dimensions renameed as 10001.png added as bootanimation.zip but it doesnt work
Bootanimations are more than just images (png's), they require "instructions" on what to do with them. The easiest way for you to do what you want would be to replace the png's in an existing one with your image

no sound, should compatible on most devices. Enjoy!

His site is a bit malware happy. I ripped the frames and remade it. Set to 30fps so go in and change the settings if you're not happy with the scroll speed.
Either Vista or Winzip were causing me issues so I would appreciate if someone gets the chance to redo this as a functional mtz.

Hope it works on Wildfire
hope it works for galaxy ace. )
Great. I am porting it to the Samsung Galaxy i5800 (240*400)
Neat Work!
Looks very good, but seems that is too much compressed, with blocking, blurring and ringing.
Can u, or someone other, regenerate it with lossless encoding?
Hi everybody, i contacted edwardgtxy cause i guessed he was the original author of this awesome bootanimation, and he gave me the link to the mtz (theme for miui) that now i share with you, with the link to the bootanimation.zip if you prefer it to just copy&paste in /system/media
It is pretty perfect, without any blurring nor any other problem, exactly as you can see in the video posted by him in youtube, the one that is in #1.
mtz link: edwardxwu.com and... -> /file/theme.mtz
zip link: mediafire /?1mkwbcwmcwx3q08
(yes, im a noob and i cant post links XD)
Hope you like it as i do, and again, all thanks to edwardgtxy.
Hello,
I have installed suceffully on my phone, problem, it's only centered on the screen (because my phone need 1280X720P or 1080p annimation)
I have tried to resize the picture (720X1200, Also tried to 720X1280) (and set in the desc.txt file the resolution) but it isnt working, i have no boot screen when it loading (i have Zip with Win rar with "Storage" compression setting as i see on the Tutorial)
EDIT: The best thing for do it and make it working, is resize them with the Bootanimation app on the android
On my phone, the correct bootanimation file is named "bootanimation_hd720.zip" in this case, The Bootanimation app cannot set it automatic. I need to add with the App, resize with the app, and use EZ file explorer (root) and change the filename "bootanimation.zip" to "bootanimation_hd720.zip"
What's wrong?
Hello all. Does anyone still have this file and would be willing to share? All of the links no longer work.
Thanks.

How i change start up animation ?
Just finished installing a new theme (Evangelion NERV theme) and I want to customize my bootanimation aswell. I put the bootanimation.zip file in /system/media and rebooted. There was no animation, so I checked various sources online to try and find an answer (http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-change-customize-create-android-boot-animation-guide/) but I couldn't find an answer to my question.
I changed the H*W in the desc file, nothing changed, still a black screen where the bootanimation should be -.-.
Any help? please and thank you
EDIT
forgot to mention that in the the desc file, the H*W was set at 320*320, I changed it to 480*800. Don't know if this does anything or not. Apparently lower resolution bootanimations should run fine on higher end devices according to this source:
"As a rule, a boot animation made for a lower resolution device will run fine on a high resolution one but it will be centered on the screen, with the extra screen space around it not being used. Using a high resolution boot animation on a low resolution device will result in the boot animation not fully displaying on the screen, with its outer parts being cut off due to being outside the screen’s bounds."
After placing the bootanimation, did you set the permission for it?

Yea I set full permissions on /system /media and bootanimation.zip. I re-zipped the the bootanimation in STORE mode. I changed the H*W to 480*800 and once on 480*480 because that was the default that came with cyanogenmod. I did everything that I could find online/think of. Hopefully someone has an idea, I could try posting the bootanimation if anyone is interested in having a look.
Thanks

Thanks, here it is.
hey mate sorry for late response... i see you have on folder with named as part another with something else.
I would suggest you to download any running boot animation and check out its folder structure or just move ur images into it and delete all the images from that and while zipping do not use compression.
Hope this helps.

I have replaced all the images but there are still overlappings...there are two other folders dpi related in res which are layout-mdpi and xml-mdpi...Do i have to edit them?
yeah they are also need to be edited
if even after editing they seems here and there then you will need to edit XML files according to ldpi
