If you love the stock ROM but you need a better performance, use this ROM.
It's very close with Original ROM but have better performance.

Hi, I m looking for a rom which is similar to darky rom in terms of performance n battery
I m on darky rom 10.2 n its quite good, but it tends to freeze n reboot occasionally.
So I want to try out other roms..
I don't like fancy roms.
Simple, fast n stable vl do..
Plz suggest..
If you want simple fast and stable why go past stock with rooted kernel?

For what reason? If you want simple, snappy and stable stock with a good kernal beats a (Samsung based) "custom" rom. You can even add a theme of your choosing if you wish.
Or if you do want a custom ROM (a real custom ROM) go something AOSP based.

K bro..Vl try out stock rom with custom kernels..
M kind a new to custom roms on galaxy s so was jst curious about custom roms..
Try Jetpack Mod V6+
Hi, i was in that dilemma between customizing myself a stock rom or go for a custom rom that matched what i was looking for, i have tried cyanogen mod 7 (didnt like it), darkyrom with tw4 looked great but a had a lot of reboots (maybe because of the touchwiz 4).
Now i am using Jetpack Mod V6+, and its running fine, stable and very fast.

But as everything it will depend on what are you looking for, so good luck
If you are looking for stability and battery performace try a KIES official stock ROM that it is in your contry. Do not try leaked ROMs such as JVP,JVR,JVS,JVT because they are beta.
Hi!
I'm wondering which rom or combination of rom and kernel or any other combination should I flash to make my galaxy s super snappy..???

Yeah I know about miui, been there already, I liked it but didn't impress me speed like.. heard about miui mintberry + fugumod is supposed to be very fast, anyone can confirm that?
I would really like something jawdropping because i'm currently on ICS and I kinda love how it looks, so unless its super fast rom I not changing..
My personal best (excuse my english, i`m from Germany ...):
SauRom with Tornado Neutrino ... super stable, fast and battery works loooong ....
My favourite is Simplicity rom + Semaphore.
If you not afraid from something new/different, I prefer one of the CM7 (CyanogenMod) ROM, like [ROM] insanity CM 057 [21.12.2011] - Multi DPI
[/B]Which is better Cyanogenmod RC X or Emanon X or Chocobread X for galaxy mini in terms of
1) look and Design
2) Performance
3) low Battery consumption
4) Daily use
test only CM7.2 and EmanoN
1) look and Design: CM-suport theme, status bar tweaks, and more and more
2) Performance: emanoN v4
3) low Battery consumption: both ROM-but i think stock rom with root better.( battery use Depends on your use. ROM a littel Effective-Perhaps 10%)
4) Daily use :both ROM-with out Over Clock.( over clock may make phone unstable)
sorry for my bad english
Dont agree with adip_17, cm had also great performance and is much more customable than emanoN or choco! all these roms are great roms so its realy up to you what you want! If you want stock look a like rom try emanoNv4 its also one of my favorites! If you want a awesome looking rom where you can change almost everything try cm7.2rc5.4!!
Notice: this question is already asked a lot times use search next time ;-)

if u want a highly customizing rom go with cyanogen
if no then i would recommend u emanon v4
EmanoN V4 Its my favorite...
1) I like stock look alike...
2) EmanoN V4
3) I don know aboyt CM7, but i think it depends of how you use your phone.
don't forget CM7 Music Edition, quite impressive music experience
better you try all the roms 1st and then you choose yourself which really suit your needs and heart..
p/s: as for me i love n using Chocobread v2 now..
I have installed AOSP v08, looks great and much more stable than GB 2.3.6.
But the quadrant speed is almost half the original GB speed.
Should I go back to GB? And what is the fastest rooted GB ROM?
In my opinion the fastest Ics rom is stunner.

quadrant scores don't really mean much when it comes to end-user experience. Stunner is the fastest ICS rom I've used, but I haven't even been on a touchwiz-based rom since the RocketRom ICS bricking fiasco so those might be pretty fast these days.
The stunner rom is the best ics rom I have seen but if u want a really smooth rom I suggest u stick with gingerbread till the official update comes along. Personally I prefer chracks rom. Best rom I have ever seen.

Which one is better chracks rom or stunner rom in your opinion? Thanks.
Alba V2, LP5 kernel + added LB2 modem = speed, smoothness, stability. 4200 in Quadrant on default settings. As said, don't care much about tests, this is by far the best ICS rom I've seen, with all respect to other devs.
I want a rom that have the best performance. I don't really care about battery duration.
Thanks :good:
Go for Mackay's ROM and Kernel. Maybe Velox ROM too if it is fully developed.
