Hello all,
As a new user I'm apparently not allowed to post links at all until I'm verified. So that means you'll have to a little leg work to find some things if you're interested.
This is my customized phone. I used the same background in my blog; The icons I made in a roundabout way—Bobbyperux over at Deviantart, made a pretty all inclusive tutorial on how to make them. It even had a video. You'll need to know something about Photoshop and have a tiny bit of patience. I changed the font to futura and the color to white. Except for the android market, ha. Little color never hurt anyone. The phone is rooted, non-market apps are enabled, and I can sync to my itunes with ease. Mac user.
Anywho give it a whirl--the icon pack is called up to date icons.
Id like to change my icon set too. Do you have to be using launcherpro or can u change them on the stock TW?
Thx.

The news widget is called buzz box-- its pretty nifty. You can choose from a ton of sources within the actual widget and it updates the news all day. I don't know how it effects battery life, but my captivate seems to be dealing with it just fine.

Yes, its LauncherPro. On the home screen I used Folder Organizer, as LauncherPro could can only change dock icons.
I been searching all over the web for a decent LCARS PADD skin for android
well got tired of looking decided to go ahead and make one for myself
This is my first Attempt at making a functional Lcars system
lot of hours went into searching and interface design simple to use
pain to design anyways let me know what you guys think this version is the first and is subject to change
download sweeterhome beta 2 first
and choose theme
then search for
greytrek_Galaxy_s_edition
UPDATE
Color version is up and running
to find look for color trek
discontiued
hey guys im going to go ahead and stop providing support on my lcars theme i put alot of time into designing a theme that functioned and looked good aswell
but support for my work was pretty much none so unfortunately that is my de-motivator anyways best of luck guys
thanks to those who downloaded and tried it but this is me bidding adieu
No clue what LCARS PADD is but that looks amazing. How long did it take you?

Sweet, I'm definitly going to play.
OK, this is awesome. A few thoughts though. The grey strips look very low res, especially the text. And in the lower screen, "Galaxy S - Master System Display" It says Glaxay S instead.
yeah probably had a retard moment thanks for the heads up will fix that
For the serious geek in you. Awesome.

N E IDEAS
Ok guys im open to suggestions on themes right now im in the process of designing some non-trek themes all as functional so let me know ideas if you like my work please rate and leave comments thanks
Well I've not seen a good desert theme, and being in the Valley you would have plenty of inspiration (I have a house in Gilbert). Theres plenty and the brown/beige/tan theme would not look too bad either. Could send you some pics for ideas?
sure send the pics to me I'll see what I can wip up

I have been trying out SH2 and OP's theme. Everything was looking good, then I got a force close for SH2. And now I can't get out of SH2. I tried reboot, battery pull and still stuck with FC popup.
Anyone got any idea's what I can do?
haven't gotten stuck like that where i couldnt get out of it usually if you have another home replacement u could choose the option or hold down the home key and try to access a application from there
Try to get into settings. It may be a pain but if you keep trying you may be able to get there.
Goto applications, manage applications, hir the menu button. Filters, show all. Find sweeter home and clear default.
If you can't get into settings at all depending on your level of expertise you may be best off flashing the phone. Unless someone here has a way to fix it remotely like with adb or something

Thanks for the help and info.
I had to flash it. I couldn't get anywhere. Pop ups just wouldn't let me. I even had to pull battery just to turn it off.
But everything is well now and I have something to do getting it set back up.
Again thanks.
I can't seem to find sweeter home right now but I am curious of how to theme it and what it can do.

apk is posted on the first page of the forum
I'm on the XDA app at the moment and can't find the link to sweeter home, should I be doing this on my comp when I get home?

Google sweeter home. Definitely easier from comp. By if you have external apps enabled, should be a breeze once you get to it.

Hey guys! I've been around here for a while lurkin on my older phones, but since I got the epic I'm finally coming around to posting. Anyhow, I was bored tonight and no overtime came up this weekend so I made up some docks real quick, since mine was getting stale after a month or two. Hope you guys like em. I'm not a photoshop perfectionist so a few flaws may be present. When they are on the phone with their 75ish % Transparency most flaws disappear anyways. When I briefly checked them all, at a glance they all looked fine. So let me know if anythings messed up in any of them, I just run the blue now myself.
Kinda loosely based on the dreamlyfe docks with the side app drawer, but much wider so the tallmin icons fit in them nicely. In fact they were designed with those icons in mind. Let me know what ya think. Feel free to rape them to peices and create your own and re-post em or whatever
Edit: All have 74% Opaque (26% Transparency) for a nice look, and resized to work well with Portrait/Landscape. Tallmin icons will now be readable in either orientation. Wow didnt realize how ugly it was before fixed.
Can u do one with orange plz? Good job by the way!
Sent from my Epic 4G
sure can
Sure I can, later this evening after work. I mostly just change colors with color range select and color change tool so it makes it pretty easy. If anyone else wants a specific color let me know and ill make it. Just figured these 3 were most popular.
On a side note, if anyone wants the non transparent version of any of them just PM me and ill send it your way. Cheers!
Thank u so much!

I guess I am a complete noob lol, how would I install the dock image? I have no clue and I didnt see any option to do it in the LauncherPro settings. Maybe I missed it or I need to put the file somewhere specific?
Preferences => appearance settings => dock background (let's you choose from your photo gallery)

I only know how to DL onto a PC and then xfer to the SD Card. Right click on the image(dock that you want to DL) from the OP and select save as... , then copy the image/file to your phone/SD Card. Now while at the homescreen in LP hit the menu key>preference>appearance settings>dock background>custom>and then you should be able to scroll to the image in the gallery that it brings up

These are great! Can you please create one with white on the top and bottom of the dock? TIA
any way to center the glow so the app drawer looks good in the middle
Just download a great, completely customizable weather, clock, settings widget. It's only 99 cents on the market right now. Perfect for my ever changing homescreen. So many themes. Give it a look. I added a couple of pics to show some of the colors and sizes.

I assume you're the developer. I could be wrong. I like the appearance of the widgets, are there anything more than the weather/clock widgets?
Thanks
Bought it. It's awesome. The widgets looks very elegant on my xoom's screen. The variety of widget sizes and looks make this one a great buy!
I was lucky enough to beta test this widget and it was a pleasure watching the developers upgrade and fix it over several months. They are quick to resolve issues and I purchased it as soon as it became available on market.
Edit: @ Saintfyre, the main 8x2 widget allows the forcast on right to be switched with a control panel similar to a power control widget. Things like BT, screen rotation, wifi can all be turned on/off. Beyond that, theyre just weather and clock. Its a replacement for Beautiful widgets.
@OP. What is the Theme you are using? And what is the small up arrow in the center of your notification bar?
First app I bought without much research, saw one review and small review at that in a blog, very happy I bought it, very nice widgets.
I decided to pick it up and was beating my head against the wall because I couldn't get the widgets to appear in the Xoom widget menu after long-pressing. Simple reboot takes care of it, for those who scratch their head like I did after configuring one and trying to find out how to place it. I like what I see so far. Thanks devs!

I believe he's either using a Galaxy Tab 10.1 or has found a way to run TouchWiz UX on a Xoom. Probably the first one. The arrow would be the shortcut TW has for the mini apps.

Sorry not the developer, just letting people know about the widget that I liked.
Yes, not a theme, I use a galaxy tab 10.1 now, but old habits like this forum die hard.

In your 3rd pic on the top you are using something that has large buttons as folders. What program does that?
Ok, while you're at it, where did you get that wicked Star Trek wallpaper? /drool
The folders are two apps. Desktop visualizer is a free app that lets you take almost any small picture and use it for a launcher button of any app or bookmark. Then you can resize it to whatever dimensions you want. I have that widget working with the app called folder organizer lite. You can put all your apps into different folders. Apply your own icon and resize away. It saves alot of screen area so you don't have 100 apps taking up real estate. I can post some pics if you want to see what it looks like. Both apps are free in the market.
And here is the uss enterprise wallpaper. But you have to use the multipicture live wallpaper (free) in order to get it to display correctly. Honeycomb crops the sh!# out of it.

it say if it doesnt show on your device restart it
but i have done that many times, still not showing up
Please is this cos of the Beta version
Please Help
Under the HD Widgets settings you can add and remove different sizes.
Won't update units from F to C. :crying:
But other than not knowing what 50 degrees F is, the app is awesome.
Edit: rebooted and now it works a charm. A+++
I've searched google and the forum but I can't find an answer. Is it possible to add another tab to the All apps?
Right now I have all Apps, Frequent, and downloaded but I'd like to add new ones I just can't seem to figure out how to do it.
Anyone managed to get this working?
I think you need perm root... And a theme...
I think myns ROM for EVO 3d has a custom one.

Seems so weird that sense wouldn't just support it. It has the ability to remove tabs and reorder and there's plenty of space for more tabs.
