The auto focus sound file is in the camera.apk file itself under res/raw/
I'm surprised that has not yet been released camera fix for 15% battery and removed autofocus sound. Why nobody will do it?

Thank. I also found out the focus sound file in there, but just have no idea how to disable it inside the camera.apk. Could you tell me how to disable it?

Thanks for the Camera.apk, removing sound shouldn't be hard, all I will do is to mute all ogg files and it should be silent....
the 15% battery hack is another thing, I am not very good at reading com/sec/android/app/camera/AbstractCameraActivity.smali...(the most important is I am still at work....)
Will do more in a few hours.

Sound removed, any suggestion how may I try for battery < 15% while my battery is still 90%?
Anyone know are there any battery mock up method on a real device?
Good to hear you muted all the sound, even focusing sound.
Waiting for yr hard work then. Thx.

As far as I can tell, no, I was asking for deodex version of the Camera, and I think the post was refer to that.
I want remove autofocus + shutter sound from camera on ICS in stock.
just root your device, and then with root explorer, go to
/system/media/audio/ui
look for shutter_01.ogg, and rename it to shutter_01.ogg.bak will do
Im using checkrom v6 and installed camera mod so now i can use my camera with flash even when battery is at 1% and it also improves picture and video quality now i just need to remove the shuter sound..

Did manage to remove all sound by deleting all the ogg files for camera..i was happy..taking pic with no sound no autofocus sound..then i movef on to trying somee mods for lsz...its was worth trying but i just manage to 1 mod s4 transparent bar with centered clock..then my hands just wouldnt stop until at some point i was trying to remake the framework and i failed..lol..makes the launcher scrambled..then i hit the restore which i did last week..lol the auto focus sound came back...dang..

then the new lt5 update comes..i know i like stockish look alike debloated..and yet...i seem to find my old build prop tweaks still has affect even i flash new rom..
thus lt5 does not have the shutter sound off in camera setting..tried to deleted or rename again via re..but those sounds keeps coming back after reboot...i rest my case

Rather than 'swearing' - which is pointless - how about posting screen-shots of your phone running these tweaks?
Some parts of the scripting included are fairly standard and included in most Custom ROMs. Other parts are just hyperbole;-
Beats Audio is a pile of cr4p, just like their headphones. If you want better audio than use a decent equalizer setting and some proper headphones
Sony Bravia engine is a gimmick. How do you actually expect to make your screen better? Change the LCD panel? Or just tune the contrast, brightness etc?
Bottom line - post screen-shots as proof or stop claiming to have run it and tested it dude.
This what you wanted my build.prop for sure no bootloop

Hello
Can any of you good devs provide a fix for the upside down front camera on voip apps? In the past it was working correctly for me but at some point it turned upside down (i think it was a kernel change OR a skype update). Since then i have trid the following WITHOUT any luck:
-Horizontal calibration
-Enabling screen orientation and trying in landscape mode
-an older version of Skype app
-Different Kernels (3.0 and 3.4)
-Different ROMs (CM9, CM10 and CM10.1) format everything from system to sd-ext in between
front camera is still upside down! i am at a loss here...please help!
ps : In the camera app front cam works just fine

Exact same thing here, all CM10 ROMs are having this issue.
I have it in GoogleTalk, so a pretty built in application.
Tried these steps, still upside down front camera. Calibration does not show any indication, just sais lay on plane surface, push button. Shouldnt there appear a orientation point in the cross?
I only know that problem from older Windows programs, with the webcam.
There are two ways to fix this problem.
1. Fix it in system
2. Fix it in the app
First of all, the camera needs to run at all, so guess there is many work done, that the camera is running at all.
Then, it may depend on the devs way to fix things, normaly it should be fixed EVERYTHING in system, because fixing every app that might be installed, no way
So there must be some reason, that the devs choosed to let the upside down in VoIP apps be there, because the rest works, in camera apps orientation is fine. Maybe they just dont got the right line, to just change VoIP apps orientation.
So, maybe this will last for a long time though, till Samsung releases new drivers for 4.1.x haha Till then, devs must use what they got, guess they have the best working things found already...

Hi, dsilx!
I have installed this ROM a couple of days ago and, I have to tell you, it was the best I've tried since I started to change it. I didn't tried to use the internet and performance booster, but I'll give you my impressions about those features as soon as possible. Nevertheless, these are the points that I'm able to speak a little bit by now:
(Very) Nice Points:
-Speed (transitions are very fast and not jittering)
-Usability flow (very very smooth indeed)
-Battery usage (surprisingly economic)
Points to improve:
-Right Speaker not working (as you may already know). (But since we may encounter this issue in most of ROM's available, I guess it's not that important, even because the sound works right using my earphones)
- Sometimes, the wallpaper is show somehow disregulated, righter or lefter from the position that I've choosen before.
There's another fact important for me.. This ROM have revived my TAB 3, since it lost the efs ( I still don't know how) and recovered only by NEON CUBE ( I don't know why either), what I haven't suceed with the lasts I've tried before.
In a comparison, It's still a great ROM at the end of the day...=D
So, thank you very much for your nice job and be sure you can count on me for the tests you may need in the future!!
Peace!

Hi now thanks for gratitude and niceness now one thing I have to ask keep in mind I'm just a kid but I didn't understand the last part about efs etc. If u could can u plse explain its more kid friendly haha but thanks for the info
Hahahahaha....
Relax, bro, I think I didn't express myself quite clear. Pardon me for that....lol
Two months ago, I was trying another ROM and suddenly Tab begin to don't accept any ROM instalation, showing the message "Failed to mount /efs", or something like that. Then, as a lot of things need my attention at the university and my job as well, I haven't had time enought to research properly in order to directly fix this issue.
I just keep trying to put some ROM's during the rare free time I've had, always regardind the correct version (T210), but with no success (the same message occured).
But this time, with your ROM, it has simply worked and I started to scream like a little girl and run around my house, jumping and singing...lol...besides this a little bit thick lying part, I was very happy for my Tab coming back to life again, this time with a performance I've never had....=)
