Hi there, the petitdroid animation is stretched because the size in "desc.txt" is set to 480x800, it should be 320x480. I attached a modified file.
I had troubles installing it as a ROM, so I just included the file bootanimation_petitdorid.zip which contains the animation itself. It has to be reanmed to bootanimation.zip and placed into /data/local, root needed.

As usual, to install, rename the file to bootanimation.zip and push the zip to /data/local folder.

I saw the scribble and instantly had to get it. Def gonna get this loading screen running on my phone. Do hope to see more..Awesome job.

I haven't played around with creating flashable zips before. I've thought about doing some kind of app that would download the boot animation right into place.

Have you ever thought of teaming up with UOT kitchen? Their boot images are placed in a flashable zip.

Landscape!
Since the Dell Streak boots in landscape, I had to rotate the files sideways and swap the pixel values in the desc.txt.
Displays in fullscreen for me now. =P
Attached, just in case anyone else with a Streak wanders in.

Status 7 Error CWM/TWRP

Yesterday i tried to install cm 10.1 and i get this message,i have been reading a lot trought xda and nothing work,editing the updater script,updating the cwm,flashing with twrp,nothing fix the problem,someone had a clue what it could be? the strange thing is ,with older versions of cm 10.1 (prealpha) it flash right,i dont understand.-

Are you sure it's for i8190?
When installing certain custom ROMs, you will encounter “Status 7″ error issues once in awhile with ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery.
Status 7 error is caused while the ROM’s updater script file checks to see if the phone model of your phone is compatible with the ROM you are installing, called “asserts”.
“Asserts” is a safety mechanism so you don’t accidentally install another phone model ROM on your phone. E.g. You tried to install Galaxy S2 ROM on a Galaxy S3 and ending up hard-bricking your phone but you got Status 7 error which saved you.

Open ROM.zip
Search meta-inf/com/google/android/updater-script.txt
Open updater script and remove from the top (do not remove anything else, make sure you remove the semicolon and top empty line):

Oh and if by chance this is the wrong version, the lines you are deleting will not display i8190 aka our device. If you flash this and it isn't the right ROM you're probably going to brick your phone. You have been warned.

Try other kernel its cwm problem. Before install zip wipe system,data,cache,dalvik-cache.

I SOLVED IT !,nothing of these things works, the problem was in maclaw page,i managed to get contact with him and his page was hosting a 163mb CM 10.1 ,instead of the 174mb that correctly is,that was all,thanks everyone now im enjoyning cm10
