Awesome sauce.
I am not running this out of fear .. for I use my phone for many things daily and anything Alpha would be DUMB to run. But this is promising and I look forward to a more baked ROM.
Once the basics are ironed I'll be all over it lol. These guys are awesome

'Best ROM' threads don't last long, it's up to you to try them out and figure out which one suits you.
the cm9 4.0.3 beta2 rom cannot use in my s5570,because the rom cannot compatible Chinese SIM card,so I want to know when will the RC or beta3 edition deliver.
Respect devs and stop asking for ETAs!
YOU WANT ?? hahahahahhaa first and last rule of cyanogen is ETA (estimed time of arrival )do you want an rc ? be a developer
Otherwise squadzone has made an excellent guide on how to compile cm from source. If you "want" the last word in the development then compile the source from yourself

Against the rules dud
Stop asking for ETA's
Don't mind ^^
Dev's like squady, parasmi, tj_style are busy ppl

As stated, best ROM threads don't last here. Do your own research and try a few out.
Can devs at cyanogen use the Korean version of ics and import the drivers for tegra on cm9 so that we have a stable version of cm? I mean is that possible? Cause the only thing that is missing on cm9 is the tegra 2 drivers.....

Let me save you, in an easy explanation it is really hard to accomplish. Keep to the sticky thread for ics, admin plz lock.

yes it can be ported as long as the official kernel source release developers can use it but for now there are no official yet so no stable cm9
why don't read&search before open new thread completely useless???
Don't post questions in the General Section.

I think the Android dev forum are for those who take stock ROMs from the carrier of the device and modify it to their liking. Original Development probably has devs taking the source vanilla Android and creating a ROM out of it.
Ahh. Thanks for that. I kept finding myself going back and forth to each forum. I couldn't find an explanation anywhere.
Android development is for roms based on stock - trickdroid, arhd etc.
original is for kernal development, aosp, aokp etc.

You must be using the xda mobile app. The difference is clearly explained in a sticky on the original development forum.
(the sticky is there precisely so we don't have to have a lot of threads like this but I digress)
In the full web browser experience, you will see that thread listed at the top above all the others. In the mobile app you have to click on the "stickies" tab to expose these. Just fyi..

Also I believe the original dev forum are using alpha and beta builds kernels and Roms, which most were projects that are work in progress I.e. the cyanogenmod, some hasn't received updates for long time, they may have been abandoned or obsolete.
On the other hand, the android development forum are housed with released roms, kernels and mods.
If this description is incorrect, please do correct me.
