Hi everybody
I was on the newest DarkyRom version on my SGS GT-I9000.
But last week I got the SGSII. So i wanted to flash the SGS back to stock to sell it.
A tutorial told me to flash JPU first and then update later to newer versions.
I did this and the phone was back to the original firmware (everything worked fine).
But when I tried to boot it this morning it got stuck in a bootloop.
So I tried to flash JPU again. But this didn't help.
I got error messages on first startup like:
Code:
update media. please wait
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
(No such file or directory)
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't mount SDCARD:
your storage is not prepared yet. please use UI menu for format and reboot actions.
copy default media content failed
Since then I have tried to flash many other firmwares. Stuff between 2.1 and 2.3.6.
But nothing helped. The same error on first startup after flash and then bootloop.
Someone told me to flash CWM via ODIN an see if the SDCard was mounted.
Turned out it's not. When I try mounting the SDCard in the CWM recovery mode I get the following:
Code:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(I/O error)
Error mounting SDCARD:!
Is there any way to get the phone back to life or is the internal SD card just broken and do I have to send the phone in?
Greets
no one got an idea?
I guess not... :S
I have the exact same problem. But I didn't even tinker with my phone. I started crashing daily and now it doesn't even boot anymore.
i have a p1010 ,rooted, suddenly,i found the tab rebooting over and over,i tried from cwm to restore ,no chance,it was no more back up,i tried to reflash the ROM,no rom, i try with Odin to put a stock ROM,from 2.3.6 to froyo ,nothing.
Now,it s stay on ANDROID SYSTEM RECOVERY ,SAMSUNG RECOVERY UTILS FOR BML, it appear with red
E:CAN.T MOUNT /DEV/BLOCK/MMCBLK0P1
(I/0 ERROR)
your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions
COPY DEFAULT MEDIA CONTENT FAILED
i try to format it but no chance
Someone can help me with it?
thanks

Thanks a lot for this post.
My i9000 was stuck in reboot loop after downgrading from CM10.
this resolution fix the issue
By the title u can tell i have gotten a galaxy note. Well whilst trying to put a new rom DarkUtopiaV1 I had ICS stunner rom from passion.
I installed it after about 5 to 10 minutes it was stuck on the exclamation mark logo thus I rebooted it in CWM.
Then I thought I should re-install it so I did all my intermediate steps took backup and then before I install it I tried to format the system well It said formatting system for like about a half an hour. I reboot it.
Then I couldn't install the rom it would get stuck saying installing rom. So I tried to restore my previous backups which failed as well.
So in frustration and panic I formatted /emmc and my only internal /sdcard (which was an extremely stupid thing to do).
Then a good friend of mine adviced me to flash a new recovery so to flash a new recovery he said try to mount sdcard or usb storage and when I did this I got :-
"E: Unable to open ums lunfile (No such file or directory) Error mounting /sdcard!"
So I dont know what to do! :crying: HELP! Thanks in advance! I'll appreciate it a lot.
PS: Sorry for the terrible english.
Hello people
My friend his phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830) was really slow, so I suggested to root the phone and install a new custom rom. But something went wrong, first I rooted the phone, that went well, but than I wiped the data/factory reset and the cache partition and tried to install a new custom rom. But it ran into an error.
