[Q] (Q)about screencapture - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Note screencapture is very easy
I have a little question
when I watch youtube
I want to capture the youtube's screen
but nomater what I do
capture screen is ok
but the png cant not show the youtube
why ?
and how to do it
thanks
sorry my english is poor

The official manuale says: "You cannot capture a screenshot while using a camera or playing a video".
I don't know if that is true also for Youtube.
And sorry also me for my bad english

Did you try 'pausing' the video first, then screen capture...
Try that and let us know...o

I press pause and took a screen shot via spen. Everything is captured other then the paused video, what to try next?
---------- Post added at 09:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:28 PM ----------
Yes the manual does say "you cannot capture a screen shot while using a camera or playing video" however, seems quite dum

Photo uploads to Facebook

Whenever i try to upload a photo from the gallery of my Xperia Z to Facebook it rotates by a quarter turn. Am i doing something wrong?
Sv: Photo uploads to Facebook
I have the same with photos taken in portrait orientation. Landscape works fine.
Have tried quickpic instead but same problem. Tried rotating photos to compensate but they still end up with incorrect.
Also it's not just Facebook, whatsapp etc are also affected.
Just tried Camera zoom fx and that works so it seems to be a bug in the Sony camera app...

Sorry, was a bit too quick, problem persists with camera zoom fx also. WTF?
Skickat från min C6603 via Tapatalk 2
Works fine here. Check whether you have auto rotate turned on or off when you take the picture. This has.always been the culprit for me in the past.
I'm experiencing the same problem here. Just uploaded a portrait picture to facebook but turns out to be placed in the landscape way.
But I don't have the problem with whatsapp/line

How to make YouTube app full screen without black bars

Is there a way to make video fit to screen with no black bars on each side when on full screen or landscape mode. My phone is currently rooted as well. Thanks

You may want to reword the thread as a question. It seems more like a statement that you have already figured this out. Just a thought.
I don't know if this works as i don't have recieved the phone yet, but try to copy the youtube link and paste it here.
stretch.site
It has sliders that let you chose your own aspect ratio. Maybe you can reach fullscreen in that way?
i think the only way you can do it is to root, install xposed, and make changes with per app settings. that should work i think
I currently download the youtube video with TubeMate, then open the clip with MX Player Pro or KMPlayer. In MX Player Pro it's possible to enable pintch to zoom, so you can over-zoom until there are no black bars visible. KMPlayer allows to zoom in a bit, which for some youtube videos is sufficient to remove all black bars, but not for the youtube videos that have black bars encoded in the video already.
Anyone successfully changed the Youtube DPI with an xposed DPI changer, to allow overzoom?
Because the aspect ratio is different, it won't happen natively. Like the other poster suggested, you need to zoom in the screen to chop off the top/bottom of the video.
just bumping this thread. Has anyone come up with a solution for per app? would love to be able to pinch-zoom native in the app.
Some apps like Netflix scale pretty damn well, most shows will take full advantage of the screen and movies will zoom to fit the width (leaving very narrow black bars), whereas youtube and iplayer leave these little black edges left and right... is a shame.
I just tried the latest guardians of the galaxy trailer and it played in full screen, i was trying to so what size that video is. Maybe new videos on YouTube are going to start being played in different ratios since the new up coming phones are 18.9
You can do it without root on every video on Youtube !
Just activate the "Magnification gesture" setting and then triple tap whenever you want to "zoom in" a Youtube video,it will still crop a little part of the video to make it full screen if the ratio is not the same though.

Native app feature from Youtube app version 12.44.54. Updated today and works fine.

[guide] how to record 240/480/960 fps smooth slowmotion [ no root & no pc needed ]

Today I'm gonna show you that how you could get 240/480/960 fps smooth slowmotion on your device. You don't need to have root or a PC just your device and an application.
App : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.danielkorgel.SmoothActionCamSlowmo
( In no way I'm claiming that this app is my intellectual property, I'm just sharing what this app is capable of. )
Just follow the steps in the video below.
For all of you who are skeptical whether this method actually works or this video is just a clickbait. Before you watch this video and get disappointed later. I would like to tell you that how this thing actually works.
First of all you will need to install the app I linked. Then record a video and btw the video you record can be of any frame rate or resolution, you can even produce a "smooth" slow motion video out of a 4k video you recorded. But the final result would be much better if you record at the highest possible frame rate as the app would have more information to work with.
Now after you've set up the app as I showed you in the video, select the video file you recorded. Now after doing other steps click on export, this process would take time depending on fps, resolution, length of the video and how much you slow it down. Eg. A 720p 120fps slow mo video of around 5 seconds took around 2 minutes to export. The way this app works is that first it takes two frames, then guessing what the the frame in between them would've looked like renders it, this process is called motion interpolation. Google this term to know better. Btw professional videographers use this method too in Adobe premiere pro on PC's.
The reason I chose to show how to show the setting up and method of using this app using a video because first of all the the method of setting up the app is easier to understand by a video and as this whole process off exporting takes time so with this video showed you the proof that what I'm telling you all is true.
( In no way this app is my intellectual property and in no way I'm related or know the developer personally. I just found about this app due to my habit of trying different apps and I'm sharing what this app does as I wasn't able to find any other app capable of motion interpolation.)
real or fake?

cause obviously 960fps is only possible with high end camera spec. bogus post

It uses motion interpolation ( a feature in Adobe premiere pro of PC) and exactly does what is mentioned.
such a nice click bait...
Not super smooth but works:good:
Close this thread. Such a click bait. I hope there's penalty for such poster
Works
Well, at first i thought it was fake then installed it i recorded 120 fps(could record 240 fps too) with my Mi 6 camera then import it to the app and it works, try it guys you won't lose anything
Thankss

You must download & replace one of media_profiles.xml
You can find it in that topic
Additional functionality :
Replace media_profiles.xml file in the folder /system/etc and save permissions should be rw- r-- r--
media_profiles.xml to fix slow-motion recording, 30/60 FPS recording, HEVC recording.
media_profiles.xml to fix slow-motion recording, 30/60 FPS recording, standard H264 recording.

done,
and the result is
- my miui stock camera app doesn't work in video mode (force close)
- Google camera mod still can't record 60 fps
- trying one plus camera app, yes it can record 60fps but sometimes get stuttering (outdoor)
is it because I using miui? or I must try another aosp rom?

1.Enable camera api2
2.get Google Camera Mod from the top link
3. put 1080p and then switch to video and from the top choose 60fps
4. 120fps is hardware baked I guess..

Ok, I really just did it in this actual moment but the Google camera is going very slow, sometimes it freezes, so video are at very low fps.
I have enabled camera API 2, ok. Installed last APK of Google camera from that thread and replaced the first media_profiles.xml .
Should I try the second media_profils.xml to check if it works?
Actually MIUI camera is better then this.
---------- Post added at 10:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:30 PM ----------
PS
After replaced those media_profiles.xml I can't touch video record mode or settings, or the app crashes.
I want try the Mi A1 camera.

So setting media_profiles.xml to rw-r-r makes the camera work but video fps are horribly 20 fps.
I try this, do I just need to install it? Should I remove the other Google camera?

Just to say, this is the meaning of 60 fps! Take a look at this video, download it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx9eLKVxdxoYOWdjdUZIVlZDbzg/view?usp=drivesdk (don't play, because on browser the video player has low fps, download it and watch how smooth is with your video player).
Have you figured out how to record videos in 60fps in gcam? For me it records in 19fps too
I've tried one plus camera but couldn't find option to set the framerate. It records in 30fps by default.

How do you know it's 19fps? Maybe the method you use to check the frame rate is faulty. Have you different methods, how about slow motion, how much fps shows ?

When I click properties on the file in Windows it says 19 frames per second as well and the video isn't smooth, It's very laggy.
Videos recorded in slow motion have 26fps.
Does 60fps video recording work for you? I'm using the same rom and kernel so let me know

My videos are 21-29fps from both Gcam and MIUI cam 1.6, I haven't seen anybody recording 60fps yet, is there even one guy ??
60 fps on MI5 is my dream ... I try various method's replace media.xml different cam apps ... But still only max 30. Video quality is terrible at all for this hardware spec.
LOS 14.1 and now LOS 15.1
In my case the OIS is messed up really bad...different roms uses EIS over OIS for video that doesnt make any sense....but I don't record so often so no problem for me..
I used often also because quality is terrible ?
It's a shame we can't officially have 60 FPS video recording for our Mi 5 while One Plus 3 with same hardware can record with this feature because developers care about customers. This will be the reason why I will not buy a Xiaomi phone again, we don't need weekly updates about nothing.

Video quality of posts in Facebook and Instagram

Hi,
Did anyone else has problems with pixelated video in social networks (fb, insta). And i'm not talking about my uploads... Every video i see has this issue. I'll try to get a screenshot or video edit of this also.
Same for me, only vidéos but all apps: Twitter Facebook and Instagram..
I've just bought my Huawei P20 Pro and video quality in facebook, instagram, even some youtube videos is really bad, pixelated. I compare to my iPhone 6 which I still have it and it is a 4 years older phone which runs them perfect on a smaller screen. There must be some trick with the resolution that Huawei must fix! Any info to share?
Bad audio and visual
This is the same for me. The quality of the sound is bad as well. I think someone said on here that Snapchat doesnt use the camera on android but "screen records" the video thats on the screen or something, But the sound should be good.
It is so bad its like using a camera from 20 years ago
Same Here, Any Fix for This?
I have the same issue, can anyone direct me to any link that could help me solve this? Thank you!
Have you downsized screen resolution or set it to automatic?

No, it is just the way the app is on android I am afraid. I have learned to take the video using the camera app then later post to Instagram
It's a shame this, something needs to be done. Surely 2018 Android can take good quality videos using Instagram and snapchat

My gf cant post videos made outside of Instagram, on her Iphone. Instagram just closes.
So maybe Instagram is the one to blame.
For me, I recorded a video in 4K resolution with H265 audio codec. I uploaded to Youtube and wait for a while, YouTube process the video in 1080p 60fps. OK, not bad. But when I uploaded it to FB, FB downsized it to 720p 30fps. That is terrible. It's not the problem with the phone. My LG V20 also have similar experience. It's the Youtube, FB and Instagram to be blamed for downsizing the video files for easier upload.
