need a tester that can test out my facebook app that is in the forum. if u PM me ill send you a free copy of the app but i need a logcat of it to see if it works or not.
I am already using the app and it works wonderul on the Spica.

I tried loading this today. it doesn't work on the hero running cm6 apparently i wasn't the only one it didn't work for
As you might we can capture screenshot in OS via shootme, but I don't know how to capture screenshot in Recovery environment?

I'm pretty sure theres an adb command which brings up an additional program where you can screenshot or logcat from, I can't remember it though, ill try and let you know.

I believe you are referring to ddms. I have seen the option, but I have not used it personally, just the log functions.

i've installed the logcat live wallpaper, which is totally badass.
so, one error that seems to happen rather often is this one:
E/imdg81 (2831): IsShutdownStarted()
anyone know what imdg81 is? why it's calling IsShutDownStarted()? why the error?

a mod closed my thread but I believe there's been a misunderstanding here. sorry I wasn't more clear in my op.
this is not a question about the logcat live wallpaper. I only mentioned this app because it displays the system log on-screen. you can access the same information by running logcat as su.
this is a question about the contents of /dev/log/main.
i'm wondering what program on my system is calling IsShutDown() and giving and error. i'm wondering what imdg81 is.
any advice?

Is there a program to check what happens when you perform operations on the phone? Which shows what exactly does the phone and is able to show errors and warnings.
I'm mean something like LogCat build in DroidExplorer.
Doing a logcat is you bet. To be honest i don't know what else you could use. You could always google diag software for android

I'm trying to figure out why when i trying to read the message, the program closes and opens again in view all messages.
Sometimes working good, but sometimes i having this issues all the time.
ROM: 3m Sense 4 final v1.
In logcat i can't anything what will give me a point to think.
Thats why i'm looking for some other staff

You could always try an app called lumberjack from Playstore, its quite a good app
