I'm not a developer. For interesting ,i want to root a rom before i install it to my phone.

I am new for this ROM Dev , but i want to understand whats going on .
so i have some questions i guess are simple for you guys .
1. what content is inside the ROM ?
2. can i do a backup to a ROM ? like the ROM i have right now on the HTC ?
3. how can i create ROM myself ? or change existing ROM ?
this is for creating support to another lang for a ROM i will like .

Try to search before opening a new thread.
Careful
if you setup new windows mobile .... your windows (Current version) old Stale ..... will remove for ever even you try to backup or reset the new windows will back not old
hiiii .i just bougth optiumus black and i want to root it . but i have problem in lunch gingerbreak. when i copy it on sd card an touchh it for install it says : THERE IS A PROBLEM PARSING PAKEAGE .

Which Version exactly? look it up in settings pls --> phone information
is it v10a, v10b,...?
Then use search on top of the page and type in:
root and ur version
tnx . i updated it with lgmobileupdate and now my version is v10f .
i want to know how i can update it to android 2.3 ?
As i said, search root v10f, if you have a bit of clou, what u gotta do, go here and grab the tools needed.
then install ClockWorkManager/RomManger

And ur all set to get rooted v20N.
For further questions, PLEASE use search first.

Did you get it rooted already? If not, grab the UPK package in dev section, and try black jack, should work i guess, can anyone give him the link? I am on mobile and multitasking is something i dont like here...

Ok ,i can't ,i know it ,but i need a way to install a filemanager to access my files.
The ROM has Play Store but I dont want to use any part of GAPPS and the ROM have not any Filemanager...
Any suggestions ?!

Guys I want to root my phone but I don't want to unlock my bootleader, is this possible? I mean I just want to use xmod for coc I don't want anything else... If your ans is yes , please explain the details... If ur ans is no , please tell me the safest and perfect way to root only for this small purpose of using xmod ! Help me guys... Tired of searching google ... My friends have old phones they used frame root and king root.. Just one click root
