hope you guys would like the idea.
Thanks

Very cool!

Fantastic idea

there used to be one some time back too but I guess it died
anyways nice work! Probably a better way to discuss/diagnose problems on our beloved phone and maybe come up with solutions.

I just checked the forums, and found this. It would be great, if we start to use it. This is a great place to talk about everything... I'm there already!

Is this the spirit of xda?

I think you know where it's all about:
Rom bribe-gate!
I think theres something on here that must not see daylight:
Theres a guy named RUFFRUFF who claimes to be bribed by someone to not share the roms of the td2 and the tp2.
And theres someone who deletes all posts from everyone who share those roms, and someone whos deleting the evidence that someone gets bribed.
There must be a mod who's knwing from this and deletes all threads(no-one can do that but a mod)
And I and many with me have a clue:
This is a post from me in another thread:
Yes i noticed it too: it seems like the guy Ruffruff is bribed by someone.
And dutty is the only one with this roms right now... pretty strange that its dutty who's deleting all the other posts here with those roms...
And check this:
this i found in the thank you part on dutty rom page:
As always I want to just say thanks to XDA-Developers and everyone who has contributed my whole existing of start making ROMS. Thanks goes to as follows;
Almighty God for letting me live to see a new morning when I wake up.
Alltheway for been a good friend since Kaiser days.
Ameet for been a good friend.
Bepe for new Platform Builder, thanks much BRO.
Boz for been a good friend and a wonderful beta tester on my previous device.
Chainfire for CFC compression Tool.
Farchid for his great friendship and helping me out with cabs.
GSLEON for been a good friend.
Jocky for been a good friend and companion and his works with his HARDPL for diamond etc.
Laurentius for his friendship and his dedication to the community
Olinex for HardSPL.
P1tater a long time friend.
RufRuf for been a good friend and his honesty.
Rzan a great friend and a long time bugging me for a touch pro ROM
Tnyynt for a wonderful friend and trustworthy companion, also thanks for his SD tune up cab.
Vincent for been more than a great friend and my webmaster.
Xmoo and others who contributed in getting me a X1 which also new ROM is coming soon.
And all XDA members and contributors who have made this place a great place to hang out and have fun with our devices, and all others who have beta tested my previous ROMs and those who have supported me. Please forgive me if I left out some important names but I'm not have a good memory.

For me this a a hard fact as we can see in the google cache///
Please mods do something about this crap!!
The first time i was getting on xda there was a "share all, conquer all mentality".
I left a year ago with the complaint that every cook closes up their roms so noone can dump it, and asks much money with it.
Now i come back and someguy is paying gusy for not share the roms so he's benefitting from it... Strange behaviour that hurt me in my xda heart!
Do something about it, and ban the guys who **** our community up!
alphazero said:
U asked for evidences. Arent the evidences enough you SEE ON FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD ? yes DUTTY deletes posts where roms are shared. WHAT OTHER EVIDENCE YOU WANT ?
He publicly said on this forum he did it (ON REQUEST) but we dont care if a source gets deleted on request or not.

what the hell is going on here!!????
Gr. Bram
Ps. If i get banned by a strange reason, ill create a new account and post this untill someone picks this up and do something about it!
The deleting mod is duttythroy
Knowledge has value only when shared.
amazing ...
what the hell Oo is going on??
Iss that True ?!
NOW Old spirit of xda (sharing fol all people) is dead!
PLEASE GO BACK!
That is strange indeed.
,,,, I thought the XDA community was built on sharing, This should be discouraged heartily
sadness and delusion !
no words
This topic is getting really interesting by the hour...
Easy, easy....
Sharing isn't dead, may be is sleeping in someone, but 99% of the members ARE sharing knowledge here.
Mods are evaluating the facts and if it will be possible (and if something was accidentally deleted) things will be restored but the main words are easy, calm down.
Even MODs are people (unbelievable uh?) we have jobs, families to feed, some funny activities apart from XDA DEVs activities, and we need some time to evaluate the facts, discuss and share ideas when something big happened.
Believe me, the strongest feeling in our group is KNOWLEDGE SHARING, together with BUILDING A NICE PLACE TO STAY.
Give us some time, enjoy what you have here we are here to improve and help this unique place!
... and it'll lead nowhere but to the bashing of others. Tempaorarily closing down the thread to prevent any further misassumptions that we're not sure of.

The Wingster - ROMs, Programs, and More for your Touch Pro 2

The Wingster: Access to all of the best ROMs, Programs, and Hacks for your T-Mobile Wing
As many of you already know, I created a website called "The Wingster", which is dedicated to everything for the Touch Pro 2 and T-Mobile Wing!
ROMs - There are a lot of ROMs out there, and since the cooks are busy creating newer versions, they don't always have time to make a nice detailed description page about their ROM. So I do it for them! Don't spend all of your time digging through a lengthy thread, if there was anything important that happened, it will be on The Wingster!
Programs - All programs are tested for compatibility with the Touch Pro 2, any bugs or issues are reported, screenshots are created, features are listed, and more. I'm making all the apps on XDA accessable by the common user!
More - The Wingster is the place for everything Touch Pro 2. If anything important happens about the phone, I'll be sure to tell everyone.
Enjoy using The Wingster!
And donations are always welcome! I've gotta pay $15 a year for the awesome website domain, so you've all got about 10 months to come up with $15 so we can keep the site! Just kiddin, I can pay that myself, but it'd be nice if I didn't have to. So yea, send the very optional donations via Pay Pal, here: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=5401195 (Remember, your cooks need tips, so save some for them too)
I hope I've helped all of you! And if anyone cannot or doesn't feel like donating with money, a nice reply saying how I helped you is always welcome! Just knowing that I'm helping everyone here makes me even more motivated to make the site better!
Thanks everyone, and thanks to Ivan especially, his awesome ROMs inspired me to make The Wingster.
I'm willing to help anyone here, so we can use this thread for troubleshooting too. But I created this thread so that new users would be able to find a link to the location that holds most of the ROM's for the Touch Pro 2, since digging through threads can be exhausting. I'm not dissin XDA I'm just helping it out.

Lol, what?
As I said, I posted this here, in ROM Development, because it's very related to ROM's. Most ROM's are listed on The Wingster, so users can find and locate the ROM's there. Just like how other threads (for different phones) may have a thread that keeps track of all of the ROM's that are made for the phone, well, this is that thread, except it just links to The Wingster, because that serves the purpose!
It helps to eliminate people asking, where can I find this ROM, etc. Everything's organized by operating system...etc. XDA is great, but some of the ROM threads can be tough to find, because they're not all on the first page, etc. I'm just facilitating the proccess!
You get it? Or did you not even want a detailed response, and I went over the top?
Night,
Andrew
(I used "etc" a lot in that paragraph, lol)
I think wingster is a good idea, also for the chefs. Im offering you free webhosting for it. If your interested, just pm me mate.
Greets,
Dennis

Guest posters needed at my windows mobile blog

Hi all!
i have a little blog at mywinmo.com.
I plan to write about my favorite hobby, all windows mobile related there ! ( yes i stubbornly refuse to go apple )
While my passion is there, i still have a full time job and i get very tired.
As the blog is already done and i do have some contents there, i do get daily search engine traffic.. well i would love for them to read good stuff, stuff we see here from the experts in XDA.
If you have a passion about all things WM, and you love to write. I hope you can guest post at my blog.
While i cannot offer you any monetary rewards, i can credit your work to you or link to your website / blog.
Hope to hear from you soon
( If you have a freeware you want me to introduce, let me know too. Will be most happy to do so if it is indeed useful to all )
Cheers!!!
no guest poster is too simple.. even if you have a simple topic, no problem as long as it is useful for the reader!!!
any interest? even a tiny bit? you can post about your review of your own phones if you like.. that will be good... i hope to hear from you...
hi equinoxe i know you are merging but i need to bump this as no one seems to be interested you mind?
A little bump is fine. Just don't go crazy.
thank you moddy.. no one seems to be in a writing mood though

New online social community for gadgets and phones

Hey guys check this out. Social networking site for gadgets and phones we worked for years is now live. I'd love to hear any feedback so we can improve our site to give you a fun and better experience. Your feedback is very much appreciated either if it is positive or negative.
www.taketake.com
What do you guys think of the site?
Add a forum section for people who need help tips or have problems with their gadgets.. ohh wait, that's what xda is for also, add it to taptalk, I'll try it then
Another thing 'unlocking cool badges after gaining point'- for motivation to get the best one, to make it competetive? Don't think that older people would be intrested, and I am only 16. But you know, everyone has their own 2 pence to add there are more opinions out there.
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDApp. Pure Madness.

Sweet site desing man! Looks great! Honestly! I think I'll check it out a bit more now...
Edit: Ok I've had a good look around so I'm ready to offer feedback firstly, the site design if clean and simple! Great! Keep that UI consistent across the whole site and it will be a winner. I'm finding Facebook too cluttered, and this is simple and elegant!
This will really work well as a concept if it takes off, so you need as many users as possible. I'll help out by tipping some of those sites. Other readers here on XDA, if you like the idea, I suggest you do the same This could be really handy when buying new gadgets, and maybe even save all these experience threads on XDA.
It needs re organization and more information but congrats on your efforts

Thanks for the feedback! We did everything to make the UI clean and simple so users will not be confused. Comparing us to Facebook is an honor since Facebook is very established and almost all people around the globe is using it.
Technology is a big trend all over the web. People now a days choose to shop their gadgets online, they can share their experience and reviews through our site.
Thanks for helping us out in spreading the word to promote our site. We really appreciate it. I love the idea and will do the same as you suggested
We'll keep you posted for any development we have based on the feedbacks we are getting. Looking forward on meeting you our site.

Thank you and we really appreciate it. Can you elaborate on the re-organization so we can improve the site. Once the site is on beta you can view more information but for the meantime we are getting feedbacks to improve before we officially launch it. We also have a video you can watch for the overview of the site. We'll keep you posted once the site is on beta.

It seems as though What I was trying to do was considered Kanging. The funny thing is that I wasn't trying to do that. My intentions was merely to get my feet wet in development. But I understand now. Also, I want to make something perfectly clear; My intentions was never to steal. Until today, I never knew what Kanging was or even knew it existed. I just wanted to explore the possibilities of having more Devs on site. Anyway, thanks to the few that responded. Peace.
Seems like an interesting idea, I have too much on my plate ATM (grad school, 3 kids, wife, full time job, and trying to learn linux in my "spare" time), but one suggestion is go to the thread here to try and get a good working understanding of the way to do it.
Lastly, no to the dev forum as this isn't development (dont mean to sound like a sarcastic ass).
If you do get it set up, you could do it through a G+ hangout.
(I edited this because I dont know if the contact I suggested would appreciate me doing so as I don't actually know him and am just working off of an impression).

Understood. And thanks for the reply and feedback bud.
And the link you used is no good. Got another there?
So I joined xda today for a few reasons. One being that I would love to be able to do a fraction of what some of these people on here do. I just got cm9 and saw that they put the source out too, but i havent a clue as to what to do with it. Google+ hangout sounds like a good idea.

Sounds good. Now we need someone to give us direction. If we can recruit an individual with some working knowledge of the material we will be set. In the meantime, If you want to get started learning the foundations be my guest. I'll get started as well. I'll PM you for e-mail addresses. If you can respond to this it will help to keep this thread alive. It will promote traffic.. Thanks bud.
[Announcement] We are currently looking fir an individual out there who knows the basics or foundations of building a custom ROM from CM9 or earlier. We would like to ask for your assistance in giving us a general direction. TYVM.
Hey man. It seems as though this has reached a turning point way before it had a chance to begin. Hahaha. But listen man, if you still want to talk about this project for future purposes, I will be more than happy to do so. Just pm me or e-mail me bud. Thanks again and sorry about all this.
