what r it causes ?
I read several users from South America (Brazil) had radio failure (couldn't make phone calls, no data connection etc.) after flashing European firmwares. Maybe it's because South America uses different GSM freq than European phones. Asian users (India, South-east Asia) have no issue such that using European firmwares. Try asking another user from the country where you live, maybe you could get better answer.

Hello,
I am wondering whether the Chinese i889 model, which is the 3G CDMA version for China Telecom, would be compatible with the ROMs for the N7000?
If not, is there a CDMA model (US or other country) that can work on China Telecoms 3G CDMA network using the N7000 (or other western) ROMs?
Thanks for answering!
No, you may brick your device.

Good Afternoon, all up in this forum and I tried to find the solution to flash the M version of this phone and fails to do so, many tutorials but have left their comments to miracle I have seen 3 people (maximum) have been able to flash your phone.
I tried placing the C version as many have seen out there, and really works! but this version "C" brings band 850/2100 on 3G, but many in Latin America residing in their countries have companies that work in 850/1900 3G which is indispensable.
Then the version "C" is not entirely effective.
Therefore I found that using this version of Odin in conjunction with any downloaded flash S5830M (version. Single tar file) can flash this version M.
I tried on over 20 phones of this model. Worked as a technician in Panama and I have many sales so it was easy to get and try.
Deputy Odin firmware only because they are widely available
Note: My English is not very good to say
which modem has band 900/2100?
in my country do not use that band. You should try to see if there is one. comment on your impressions when tested

For any S5830 i / c / m you have to use ODIN v1.83 or v1.84 have been using it for a while have flashed XXLA2, XXLH3 and several other stocks to my S5830M. But i guess newer ODIN should have some pros
is it possible to flash a radio file/ whatever so that an 801N which appears to be the same part number and same modem for europe and US versions so the LTE bands can be changed from US to Europe versions?

This is a VERY good question, one to which I can't seem to find an answer either on these forums.
For month now I've been hoping that the great minds of the XDA pantheon would have found a way for us to flash, say, an EU radio firmware on a HTC One Developer Edition to enable the EU frequency bands (perhaps while dropping the US bands, I couldn't care less), but I can't seem to find anyone who's ever attempted it with any success.
I'm just pining for that Dev Ed in all it's glory with EU freq bands...
Some say it's hardware, but I just can't seem to believe that HTC would go through all the trouble of creating different hardware for each worldly region. It's far simpler to just build the same device for all and then start locking bands.
What I *did* find was that the Qualcomm chipset should allow for all required freqs, it's just not "enabled".
But perhaps I should stop dreaming ?
Kind regards,
Lander.
Hi everyone.
I have an LG P880 (LG 4X HD) that I bought in Peru, it came with Android 4.0.3 I (V10b). I want to upgrade to JB to unlock the bootloader but in the list of official updates my country is not listed.
Someone told me that it can be an issue with the frequencies, Peru uses 850Mhz/1900Mhz bands like American countries but many other countries (including those of the official update list) use 900Mhz/1800Mhz.
My question is: There would be any problem if I upgrade using the file from another country?
My phone is rooted
Thanks to all comments.
PS: Sorry for my English.
Hey guys, above question wondering.
I bought an asian exynos FD version and was wondering if I could flash the latest australian F version on top of it safely. I cannot seem to find the FD firmware anywhere. Should be safe?
Yes, it's the same firmware for both phones (which in fact is the same phone).
Asia is very very large, although australia is part of asia, but oh well..
You'll need to be more specific on which asian country you are referring to. Some asian country use sd some exynos..
Asian country.. auzzies..
