Did you at any time rename the 2.5 file? If so, undo that. If it isn't that, check out page 350 of theimpaler747s ask me your hero questions thread.

xda search/google = win. try searching in the future, then you won't have to read replies like this one, but better yet you don't have to wait for a reply.

Um, the OP said he was getting errors using Rom Manager to try to flash back to 2.5. So his best bet would probably be a terminal emulator or ADB

Sorry to be a noob with all this, as it is my first time. How do I flash a rom? I forgot which site I have to go to, to download the rom. Is there any type of rom in particular that I have to download? Please help bro.
you can get ant rom that is compatible with the lg thrill, you can search this forum for some roms, and just install CWM recovery ( ClockWorkMod recovery) you can learn how to do that by searching it on this forum in the LG Thrill section.

you can install ClockWork Mod Recovery or you can install Touch Clockwork Mod recovery. Only difference is that in CWM recovery you have to use the volume rockers to navigate through it and in Touch CWM recovery you can just touch the screen. Hope this helps :}

Do not... For the love of whatever you call holy... Use CWM... Use TWRP or WCX recoveries

I think wcx is specifically meant for vivid. You can try that.
I have used both CWM and TWRP and have found both equally good

i have CWM, also have both zip files ICS stock Rom and also the one im currently using, can i just make a back up, and flash the ICS zip file?
I don't have any experience in flashing in HTC vivid. Search the forum before flashing or take help from someone who owns one and knows what he is doing.
I give below link of one from the forum

ClockworkMod compiled for the vivid has a good chance to destroy partitions... It was improperly compiled or just isn't compatable...
