[Q] Galaxy Tab P1010 Wifi flash issue using ODIN

I downloaded the euro firmware P1010XWKB8 for my Tab but after installing it it gives me the menu to select a language and after 10 secs it reboots. It keeps doing that over and over again till i have to shut it down. It keeps giving me an error saying "Process android.process.media stopped unexpectedly. Try again Force Close" Any suggestions on a solution?

You need to download the HK firmware.
If you look in the Galaxy tab dev forum you will find a thread that will point you in the right direction.
I believe that its title is "complete new firmware for GTP 1010.
Take some time, read the entire thread and you will find a fix for your problem. You are not the first this has happened to.

My GT P1010 does not work the touch screen
My GT P1010 was caught, do not do the boot. I followed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133590&highlight=p1010 and after it starts to flash and enter the screen to choose the language and the touch does not work. What can I do to solve this?

I'm now in very desperate need of help, that my samsung galaxy note is not able to work at all now.

Yeeaah what you have done is really dumb.
The first thing you should do is go to kies and check for an update. If their is one then update your phone. If their isnt one i reccomend you flash a new rom or via CWM or via odin. I hope that you know how odin works if you dont go to sammobile (google it) and check their site. find the good firmware (for the note) and their you can also find how to flash with odin. I hope this could help you dont for get to thank me (thanks meter) and tell me if your problems are fixed
p.s i am not responsible for bricking or other things. Use your commen sense and think before you act

Download a galaxy note custom rom. Go to CWM, wipe everything, flash the gnote rom.

My galaxy note probably bricked help please

Hi all,
My note run ICS has been rooted and the last rom on it is king droid 2.1
Just yesterday I've tried to wipe it all from the recovery. After that it was stuck on the main screen when you switch on the phone I was still able to go in recovery so I try to re-flash the same rom and after the previous one without success then I've tried to flash back the original rom lpy with Odin started to recognise the device but when it started to flash it it takes ages and the progressive bar it stay just like on 1% .
Now the phone doesn't go in recovery mode but just in download mode and on the screen comes "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"
Off course Kies does not recognise the phone.
Please help me I'm desperate

The phone is on warranty but I haven't got the receipt unfortunately

Kingdroid 2.1 uses a cf-root that is affected by superbrick bug (and this is why this version was removed from the OP by his author), so probably your note is damaged.
in general section there are many threads (like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661590) with guides that you can try to use to "repair" your bricked note... otherwise you can send it to samsung assistance and hope in a free motherboard replacement.

Sure they can, but if they find your note is rooted (or generically modded) you have to pay the cost of the mainboard replacement.
However, first of all, I suggest you to read the thread I've posted (and even others) and verify if you can revive your note by yourself.

First thing you should do is check other threads about that around here.
If you can get it into download mode, you could give flashing with Odin a try. If it doesn't get stuck at factory.fs, then you're not superbricked.
If it does get stuck, then you have 2 more hopes:
- HOPE 1
- HOPE 2
If those don't work either...I'm afraid it's off to the Samsung Service center for a shiny new motherboard.

I AM FROM INDIA ,I AM A REGULAR VISITOR OF THIS FORUM. I TRIED SEVERAL ROMS NEARLY I MIGHT HAVE DONE 25 ROM INSTALLATION IN MY PHONE USING ODIN. FOR THE LAST 20 DAYS I AM ON THE SAME ROM DDLP8 ICS 4.03 (ROOTED)
DURING A FILE TRANSFER FROM MY PC PHONE SWITCHED OF AND DIDNT GO ON.
i searched xda and finally custom pit method worked for me with a pit file .. but i now have only 9 GB space in my internal SD . i tried all other pits only two pit file allows me to install a rom.
any way to regain my memory back.
if repair is the only option how much indian rupee it will cost.
please brothers help me . i am a student and because of addiction to custom roms i have installed roms several times.

Well, if patched pit was the only solution that worked for you, I think that's no way you can get your 7gb-left back, cause part of your emmc storage is probably -certainly- corrupted, and for now is impossible to repair without a motherboard replacement...unfortunately you need Samsung assistance for that.

[Q] galaxy note hangs at boot screen (SAMSUNG LOGO)

I have recently update my galaxy note to icecream sandwich 2 week ago.it was working fine till yesterday.Yesterday night i didnt kept my mobile for charge and it was fully discharge.When i wake up in the morning and i kept for the charge.When i start my gnote it just hangup in the SAMSUNG LOGO....I kept it for 2 hour then also its the same. What to do ????????????????????????? Please help ??????????????????

Flash a stock rom via odin. Or boot into recovery and flash your current rom again.
Try the second method first¦

Happens when you dont flash properly...download LP3 rom from stock roms thread...and download pc odin....get your phone to download mode..vol up + lock + menu....preas vol up again...connect it to pc...open pc odin before or after this..no prob..click on PDA and select the LP3 rom file...hit start and see the magic happen...if it wont work.got to recovery and do all 3 wipes...try this again...good luck

You may try removing the battery and re-insert. and charge the phone when it is off for some time say an hour and reboot. this may not be the solution but who knows where the remedy lies.

From gb you can flash whatever you like as it's a safe kernel. Once you're on ics or jb, flash a Philz kernel to be safe.

New owner, need help with unroot

Hey guys I just bought a sprint galaxy tab of craigslist today in perfect condition but it is rooted and its on froyo 2.2. Im getting really confused in what sections and all and thread to find a unroot method. Im fine with rooting my phone but this is my first tablet and I want it updated to GB but when I go to the settings it says its updated

Which model you got?
Why do you want to UNroot?
Just go to Overcome thread, download guide/roms, flash your device and will have GB.
Then if you wish you can flash CM9 and have ICS/Tablet optimized OS.

I got SPH-P100 DJ30. I want to unroot to get the OTA since im on 2.2. Flashing a rom will work to, a stock rom which you are able to get a OTA. I just got it and not sure if it has CWM on it or not. Im not real fimilar with Samsung rooting techniques as most of my phones have been HTC. I have a stock rom downloaded ready to go, the only thing is im not at home and our wifi is out so im at a friends house and need to get to odin to flash the rom. I have odin on my computer at home as I have done it before, but im going brain dead and cant for the life of me figure out the site or download wise how to get the odin root program

DO NOT install OVERCOME rom or ICS for P1000. You will break yout G-tab!!!
You own a CDMA. and the above instructions are all for GSM. I hope I am not too late.

No not to late. Thanks guys. Im just using it for wifi so I don't need the free wireless tether one of the things with rooting. I just wanna get off this old 2.2 and just found the galaxy tab series kinda confusing. I did my epic touch fine, but with Verizona and Sprints, only wifi versions all of it is getting me frustrated ha but thanks again guys

if what you want is to get rid of froyo, why don't you try to flash this GB2.3.4 rooted for sprint. You need to learn how to use odin though.

follow the instructions carefully, and DO NOT do this if you are not ready to break your tab.

Ya I have used Odin before for my S2. My tab is working just fine, but it's just the OS is older and some apps wont work on it. And to top things off we changed internet companys so it won't be till Friday unless we head to my parents to use their internet. But when I connect my tablet to the computer earlier I had Odin up, should it have recognized what was plugged in and in the header should it have said the tablet information? It still had EL29 from my S2 a few months ago when I had it and rooted it but nothing changed.

THat's strange but should be ok. I think you have odin 1.7 instead of 1.83.
Odin may not recognize your tab if you did not check "USB Debugging" mode.
It should recognize your tab as an android device right away if you already check USB Debugging mode.
But if you follow the second link, it will unroot your tab back to 2.2 unrooted stock -- using heimdell.
