(Q) Need For Speed SHIFT on GINGERCRUZT 7.4

Hi xda,
Just wanna know if need for speed SHIFT can be played on gingercruzt 7.4,ive tried afew (3rd party,hvga nfs) apps on the net but it just shows the EA screen then return to homescreen.

In frogy's blog there's a screenshot of NFSS menu ( in GC obvioulsy) so I guess you can play it.

Found a need for speed shift that kinda work(50/50) up to the part when it wanna load the race it just returns to the homescreen

use nfs shift 1.0.60
if you use version 1.0.4 all gingerbread are not support
try google it

Version 1.0.60 still doesnt work,it goes into the EA screen then just return to the homescreen.tried v1.0.7+ still the same effect

Search for "nfs233.zip" on google.
That´s the filename of a version, that is hosted on mediafire and which works for me on GingerDX since version 008 (didn´t test in in v. 007) and it also works on the Galaxy Ace with official Gingerbread (I found the link on a site for the Galaxy Ace), and it should work in any GingerBread ROM.
Your versions maybe didn´t work because they were in HD, and our X8 doesn´t support this, you´ll need versions for ARMv6, but you can also try some for devices with Adreno GPU (as our X8 has an Adreno 200 GPU) if there are any.
But for Shift, just Google for "nfs233.zip"

Adobe flash

Hey all iam new to this site...... well its been two weeks after i bought my optimus black and i have problem......... when i play YouTube videos it only streams but when i rewind it a bit back it starts all over again..... i even updated the adobe flash player and i even installed adobe air but nothing seems to work......... my bro has samsung galaxy s 2 and it works for him so plzzzzz i need help

Are you on stock rom? Or Nova or cyanogenmod? . If stock then rooted it not? Because you can use titanium to wipe YouTube and uninstall it and then you can reinstall from market.

Then as i said, root it and use titanium backup to wipe and uninstall Youtube. Then install it again from market. This should solve any error.

I am using cyanogenmod nightly v19 with knzo kernel v7.
Well, as a word of advice to you, please brows at least top 10-15 threads of xda optimus black's General and Android developement sections. It will help you a lot to get max out of your device.

If you are not into much modding experience like changing governors, schedulers, frequencies etc and stock meets your need, better wait for official GB update, since nightlies have its own bugs.
Anyways, i would like to mention that discussing about rom and etc. should continue in appropriate thread. Let's keep this place for adobe flash related problems and discussions only that may arise with someone.

Why my mini is lagged?

First im sorry if my english bad.
Hmm i have mini since june this year. Its been 6 months. And I've already flash it to andro id 3.2. But i had been into cyanogenmod too. I dont like cm so i flash it back to andro id. Now the problem is my mini cant play some HD games. It becomes lagged. Why? Is it because the processor? Can anyone give me answer?
*For your information, i have more than 200 apps installed on my mini.

first please uninstall some app and try to overclock it and hd games always lag a bit on our device

first thing u should not keep so many apps installed bcoz phone memory is also used a bit even if they are on sd card so remove the unwanted apps and free up some space and the phone will not lag................

LG P990 - slower and slower.

Been using LG P990 ( Gingerbread ) for nearly a year. Recently I noticed the phone
seems to slow down. Just to open the Message folder or Phone dialer
it takes 20 seconds.
I wonder if a hard reset is needed from time to time for Android phones.
Or it it due to too many applications ( over 100 ) being installed on the
device ?
I used Anti Virus scan, Memory boost and other tools to clean up the
memory. But of no use.
Appreciate any suggestions any of you may have.

You don't need to hard reset, just find out what apps are messing up or using a lot of RAM. RAM is the key. Have at least 100mb free and phone is fast.

I had this problem. Used a ram optimiser then eventually had to hard reset as all interal memory used up. Works like a harm now and gps also working. At same time i upgraded battery to a gold one. Phones like this are not built to last... the solid state memory itself wears out..

Try Custom ROM.. usually has better memory management. or maybe supercharger will help

Ninjas are creeping into your room at night and underclocking it 200mhz at a time.

After 5 minutes of flashing Stock rom my 2x was already like a slow motioned grandparent, so I strongly suggest you a new rom.

I have used all sorts of RAM optimizers, memory boosters etc..still the result is only tentative. After a while some of the programs start by themselves and run in the background gobbling memory. I do wish there is some tangible solution to this problem as I am sure many others are also facing the same problem of slow response and low memory reserves.

Yeah I'm on CM7 Nightly and my gf is on stock galaxy s 2 and her phone is amzing quick and no lags or nothing.
My phone is meant to be souped up and it's really poor now :-(

Search for V6 Supercharger it really optimizes your memory usage.. If not helps then do a clean install of a more stabile rom.

Can't find V6 Anywhere in market?

because its not on the market. because its not an app.
you need to download terminal emulator (or script manager) from the market, then look up the v6 script here on xda (we have a port of it in o2x dev section somewhere) and just follow the instructions.

Search for zeppelinrox's thread here in XDA, download its latest version (PDF format), run script manager, choose the downloaded PDF file, run as root (skull icon), and follow the instructions. One of the most, if not the most important tweak released for android imo.

I have stock V20Q with a Flix123 performance pack, no custom kernel no custom rom, and am very stisfied (smooth, efficient, no bugs).
I tested all the roms available in XDA dev (CM7, CM9 and custom stock) but no one is stable and full functions like the 20Q one. If you start with these roms and have probles is better that you give up.
You may update your rom and baseband using LG Mobile in your country.
In order to have better efficiency, I also freezed in Titanium backup some unused system applications (kit auto, google talk, f-secure antivirus, Email, backup, LG PC suite); no antivirus installed, installed only the used applications and not the nice to have ones, no application killer (android take care of freeing ram).

Ok I found it and followed instructions but got an AWK error message!
What do I do now?

Do you have Busybox installed? Did you run it as root? Cant think of other problems.. That's all you need.

Yeah i did and do.
Says can't determin the busybox version!

Reinstall Busybox, or try a different version of V6.. That's all I can think of. But if your phone is really messed up then I'd consider reinstalling it first. With a Titanium backup it would only take an hour. Still better than suffering from this.

flash a new rom. wipe the phone completely. its "healthy" to do so time from time imo

Temple run not running in Ace S5830L

I tried download in google play and was impossible. Then I tried download apk and installed via apk installer app. There was no version I could make work. I tried even Armv6. Nothing can make this free game work on my device.
Can someone help me?
My device is root and I did things like that before (with the sims3 and instagram) and worked fine. I really wanted to install temple run:crying:

Get a better phone if you would like to play temple run. Our device wasn't designed for gaming.

I also had problem to download instagram and the sims 3 from google play, but when i did via apk download and install, it worked just fine. So I believe there must be a way to do it with temple run either.
Maybe some update on the phone or some application that need to be installed first. There must be an explanation. Because, as I said, I had this problem before and I managed to install in another way.
Does someone have an idea?

Well, you'll have to believe it. The CPU and GPU is crappy.The Ace is more than 2 years old now, so isn't really compatible with newer games. If you desperately want it, get it on Bluestacks, or get a Nexus 4
