This application is distributed as is. I do massive testing to make sure this application works correctly; but the possibility of device damage always exist. This is true to anything you do with your device. I am not responsible for any or all the damage this may/could cause your device.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Before you begin, make sure your device is supported, and the device is rooted.
1. Download and install the application.
2. To create the ROM press the "Create a ROM" button on the main tab of the application.
3. To install the ROM created, simply go into CWM and install it like any other.F.A.Q.
What is ROM Factory?
Its a tool that will allow the user to create a picture perfect .img from your boot and system partition. It will then create an update.zip from it.
What is a "Fruit Cake"?
A fruit cake is the finish product, a self contain rom, already ready for installation, already inside an update.zip.
So really what does it do?
It allows a bootloader unlocked user to create a full copy of their boot and system partition. All of it, including mods and changes done to either one of those partitions.
Can this be use for easier rom development?
Yes! Beyond just its normal capabilities! After installing the resources you can modify the script and add things to it in *sdcard* /fcm/workdir! Once you are done adding and changing things in there, press "Create ROM".

Check the changelog, CM is not supported yet. You can only make fruit cakes of Blur-based ROMS with this version of the app.

AWWWWWESOME! Thank you so much!
AHA!! So that's what it does...rofl
sam, awesome awesome job man, what a bloody great idea. This will not only contribute to the rom's available for photon and atrix but also every other android out there...in theory im assuming...=)
I also have a question. Once you have "created" your fruit cake, does it "bake" the custom kernel into it as well?

Info:
I decided to play around with Android Kitchen and ended up crossing my two favorite ROMs together: Mik's CM7 Port and knzo's #voidforever. I am pleased with the end result, and decided I would share it with the community, for whomever who might want to try it. This was my first try at a ROM and I did it in a few hours, so excuse me for bugs I might have not found. But I always appriciate feedback =P
More detailed description:
When it comes to a more detailed description, I would have to say that the core framework is from Mik's CM7, but I initially crossed over the app folder from #void-forever to obtain a light ROM that is highly customizable and then I made the necessary adjustments to make it stable aswell (initially running the GB 2.3.4 SystemUI on the 2.3.7 framework didn't go that well xD). The advantage of crossing them over is that, you can have Mik's CM7, but then you build it to be as you want it to be (as you did with #void roms). I wouldn't say that it's Mik's CM7 that wins from the exchange, but rather #void, since this is built to be more #void-like, kind of an update to #void removing the bugs that it had from CM7 at the time and updating it to GB 2.3.7.

Beta1 (27-10-2011):
- Crossed Mik's 6.5.8 and #void forever
- Added Galaxy Nexus boot animation (by Janni: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1295933)
- Changed Kernel to fserve's v18.4c
- Added Android Market 3.2.0
Features:
- rooted
- apps deodex'd
- busybox
- zipalligned
- CM7 Screenshot
- Highly customizable in #void tradition
- Running Mik's CM7 Port (GB 2.3.7)
Known Bugs:
- ADW Acts like it was just installed on first boot (not really a bug, I know xD)
- Lockscreen doesn't say when Phone is charging
- In account settings, Calendar doesn't sync, for obvious reasons since there is no Calendar app.
- GPS and 3G don't seem to be working (if anyone could confirm I would be grateful)
To-do:
- Integrate Go Launcher Ex
- Create addon package (Calendar, FM Radio)
This ROM can go @ 600-825MHz for a Quadrant Score of 1360. For a2sd I recommend Link2SD
Download here.
P.S. Screenshot's coming tomorrow. Me too lazy right now xD
Thanks to every dev in xda for making all this possible:
knzo, franco, fserve, andy, ciaox and all others I might forget. They made this ROM possible.
Installation Instructions:
1. Enter recovery (vol down + home while booting)
2. Backup your current ROM (in case you want to roll back)
3. Wipe cache+userdata+format /system
4. Flash downloaded ZIP.
5. Enjoy!

If you dont mind me asking, what exactly special does #void bring to miks rom?
Also do you have the apps from Mik_os or just the framework, as things like fm is also missing from #void.
It would be helpful for members to have a more specific detailed difference list.

Did #void come with the FM radio? I'm pretty sure it was an addon, as I'm planning to make it.

Really don't know what else to say, that's pretty much all that it is xD
I was planning to work on it a little more today, but unfortunately I'm having issues with my usual Linux distro of choice (Ubuntu) so I need to choose an alternative -.-
Regards
I would recommend putting on thread title "for .32 kernel only " or something else..
Thanks for letting me know.
In reply to your PM: yea, it's fine, use and abuse it.

when i go to the market i can't uninstall the adw launcher. where it's supposed to say you can open or uninstall the app (or update if it hasn't been updated since the most recent update) it's just blank.
Excellent work! I'll waiting for the addon package!
What can I say, it's Awesome! I was planning to make someting similar like this, but I can see someone was faster. Well, I saw this and as Mik's CyanogenMod has lot's of crap (no offence mik, your rom is good but ..) in it, so why not to try. Only thing, I don't like about your rom, it uses ADW as default Launcher, I deleted original ADW from /system/app and replaced it with (in my opinion) better LauncherPro. I would recommend to use Zeam Launcher as default but latest versions of Zeam are slower and lagging more.
I hope my english is readable and understandable.

We thank everyone involved in our journey with ICS Passion and no, it's not over but an new era has began.
Our Vision is to keep ICS Passion more customisable and future awaits for that.
However, with ICS Euphoria build from AOKP source and integrated many features of Passion (but not customization of Passion) we intend to keep ICS Euphoria a beautiful ROM resembling stock ICS in many ways.
At the same time, providing control to YOU to customize way you like! Please note, this is not a PORT but a ROM build for Vibrant from source!!!
Last but not least, ICS Ecstasy will be developed soon and it will be based on MIUIv4.

O.K. guys here comes our first ICS customer rom.
This will be a coproduction with eybee, Chrack, nobnut and me.
Pls, pls dont forget it, this is an open customer rom beta from the first leak of ICS [email protected] Galaxy Note.
If you dont make a fullwipe after the ics flash, so pls wait for the official ICS Rom by Samsung.
Note, from Android v2.3.6 to v4.0.3 its a huge step.
You have to make a fullwipe after the flash!
If you set all you like, pls reboot...

How To get Root on ICS:
If you are already on Chinese ICS Stock ROM or any Custom ROM based on Chinese ICS, then first test if you are fully rooted. You can test that with Root Explorer by trying to copy/paste any file you have on your SD Card to you /system - if this copy/paste will be successful, you are already rooted properly.
If this test fails --> you are not on a proper rooted Chinese ICS ROM now!!! So follow each and every step from Reb0rn here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22877518&postcount=182
or from Chris X. here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22843343&postcount=1259
After that you will definately have FULL ROOT!!
Installation Instructions for v1.5:
After you have checked being on a proper rooted Chinese ICS (see point above!), do the following steps:
If you are not already on a proper rooted Team Rocket ROM v1.4, so pls make a fullwipe (Factory Reset) before your flash the v1.4, then flash the v1.4 and after this make a fullwipe again!!! If you will not do that, you will have serious trouble!!!! Reboot your device afterwards and setup your Google Account! (If you are already on a proper rooted v1.4, you do not have to do that and can directly go to point 2.)
After that boot back in Recovery and flash v1.5 without Wiping anything
Reboot your System
Now you have a fully working v1.5, bloody fast and ready for daily USE!
If you have trouble with this instructions so you can take a look to this other way:
...or this way:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23019257
We want to say thank you for it @ underlines and Ash!
Changelog v1.5:
- Dialer working now - no more FC's
- Settings working now without FC's (Brightness, Volume, Tethering, Lockscreen Wallpaper)
- SMemo included and working
- DSP Manager now working - you can choose in Settings between FX and DSP
- changed Battery Icons to Jkays Green Circle (fits better imho)
- some more tweaks for more Smoothness and Speed

Notes:
Our team works in parallel with Windows and Linux. So we have better chances to create a build. (I'm working with Linux.)
Yesterday I've been looking for apktool.jar to decomile/compile of ICS 4.0.3-*.apk's. Thats really important for us.
I found only a solution for *.jar Files but nobnut got it. Thank you so much, for spent your time!
Now we can both. Decompile *.apk files and *.jar files for ICS 4.0.3.
Warning!
Dont use the app "Superuser Update Fixer" e.g. for an update of "SuperUser" or dont update SuperUser via market!
We had already integrated a working app "SuperUser". (v3.0.7)
Pls use this "old" version and dont update to the newest.
There are known issues with Android v4.0.3.
It seems its not the fault from the RocketRomTeam.
btw if you have a backup (e.g. about Titanium Backup) of the newest SuperUser and/or SuperUser Update Fixer, dont restore it!
What is SuperUser?
explained quickly and easily:
This app manage the root rights.
If any app need root rights, so SuperUser asks you at least once to consent.
I know, you can disable this "asks" but I dont recommend it. For me its one of the best ways to find out, have I root or not, need this app root or not.

Is this a mash up of the working parts from both leaked ROMs combined into one? I've held off installing any of the current releases in the hope (or eventuality) that such a ROM is created by the talented guys of the community ;-)

Thanks a lot Chris, I will test it after your upload.
Now I'm on chinese leak, got some problems with random sod and usb not working in osx; problems also with wifi at 5ghz
Would be nice, not to generate another "Thank You" or "when is it up" thread with up to 200 pages. Makes more sense to hit the "Thanks" button.

As long as it has a properly functioning CWMR, I'm happy. Everything else can (and will) be fixed in time.
great.. hopefully one more kernel dev is joining so we can have a full team of great dev.. if ask by chris im sure abyss will join too..
GUMMY, The Remodel!!!
NOTE: “Me” (Hashcode) did not do ANY of the major work on this ROM. I only helped get Gummy on the Droid 3 by providing patches to help w/ the Global phone data, hard keyboard, and other Motorola specifics. All credit goes to the Team Gummy Devs below. My goal is to support some of the builds on Kejar31’s behalf, and that’s why I’m posting the thread.
I believe the default setup is for CDMA, so GSM users will need to fix the build.prop, APN settings, etc

this loads fine on strap.
im using the GAPPS for our moto ICS roms.
this rom is REALLY fun. im using the touch buttons and disabled my capacitive ones. cant find the notification LED settings though.
edit: if you want to use touch nav buttons, this is how you can disable the capacitive buttons. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554111
note: only home and back will fully disable. im using the capacitive menu/search and disabled ICS soft menu.

Considering hash ported it, you should assume yes.

flashed on safestrap and everything is OK.
im on GSM and data is working, no FCs
i think the gummy team changed the touch sounds so they arent as annoying as AOSP.
this is now my DD rom, just the right amount of customizations. still trying to find the notification LED settings that were listed. missing the weather in the bar too from aokp.
i cant wait for the codecs for the HDMI/camcorder/cameraUI and Fx/ and flash are sorted out so i can donate.

Awesome to see this ported! I've been hoping a Gummy port, since Kejar and Co stopped work on Liberty. I really loved that ROM's stability and battery life, and I'm hoping that Gummy is no exception. Thank you Hash, for bringing us yet another fantastic option for the D3!

They're not. The mention of kernel adjustments in the OP is a copy and paste from Kejar's OP in the GNex thread. If the bootloader had been cracked or bypassed, I'm certain that Hash would start a new thread about it.

I don't see why you couldn't. If Safestrap works, then Bootstrap should too. I would 100% recommend using Safestrap though...the process is the same as any other cwm recovery, and it provides a nice security blanket in case something goes wrong. Oh, and being able to dual boot doesn't hurt either. Safestrap is just....... well, safe, lol.
Sent from my A500 using xda premium
everytime i reboot even when i just select reboot phone it brings me to cwm recovery
edit: even if i turn off the phone and turn it on manually recovery comes up. if i hit reboot from the recovery menu then it continues to boot up normally.
VillainROM- I9300
I would like to start by saying that I am not as good as Ninpo with prose so don’t expect a long, witty and flowing opening post.
Many of you will have heard of the name VillainROM, a lot may have tried our roms on some previous devices including HTC Hero, HTC Desire, HTC Desire Z and HD, HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S, II (and probably more).
Let me introduce to you VillainROM for the I9300. For those of you that don’t know, this is a rom based on the latest stock (usually latest UK stock unless majorly out of date), and kept as close as possible to the stock feel but with the ability to tweak to your needs. In the future we will most likely release a “SuperVillain” rom which is stock stripped back, so in this case will be stock, less Touchwiz, as far as is possible (no ETA yet).
VillainROM Features:
- Stock Rom
- Deodexed
- Rooted (superSU)
- Zip Aligned
- Ninphetamine Kernel - Thread and sources found here
- Bloat Transfered to Add-On Packs
- OTA App (kernel, rom and tweaks) - beta
- Cell Standby value fixed
What will eventually set this rom aside from the others is the OTA system that we are in the process of creating, users of the S2 rom will remember we had one back then, but the new one is shaping up to be a million times better, and built with ICS theme guide in mind! This system will enable you to fully customise the rom (tweaks, apps etc) as well as download and install full rom updates all from one app.
NB: If you have any requests or add-ons you wish to see please post them in the thread, if you don’t see a reply from a VR team member within a few days then PM myself - DO NOT PM ON THE FIRST INSTANCE OR YOU MAY BE IGNORED
Thanks
Firstly TeamVillain - NPRussell, Pulser, Ninpo, Dmzda, Shen, JieeHD (I hope I have not missed anyone!)
Secondly - Netarchy, Samsung and anyone else that has helped me along the way!
Contents:
Post 2 - Changelog
Post 3 - FAQ
Post 4 - Download Links
Post 5 - Add-on Packs and information for Themers
I would like to end on saying that personally this is my first full rom release, I have created add-ons and tweaks in the past, and helped with debugging and other fixes but this is my first proper attempt at a full VillainRom release.
Thanks, and Enjoy!

FAQ
The rom is telling me there is a samsung software update but when I click the notification nothing happens?
Some people have noticed the above occurring, however it clears when you reboot, if for some reason it does not then open Samsung Apps and update when it prompts you.
I am missing some applications?
No apps have been permanently removed from this Rom, if you are missing an app it has probably been bundled into an add-on pack, please check post 5.
I have a kernel question?
Please put all kernel specific questions in the kernel thread, and/or start a general “ninphetamine discussion” thread in General, if one does not already exist
Do you have screenshots?
Well, visually this rom looks the same as stock, in the near future you will be able to use the OTA sytem to apply tweaks that could change this, however, if I can be bothered I will take screen-shots, I might even speak with Shen about doing some fancy screenshot image that he does on his One X VillainRom thread
This is all awesome but how do I learn to do things like this?
Best place to start is by looking on www.freeyourandroid.com and then general google searches followed by trial and error.
DOWNLOADS
You could also download via the VillainTools app (if you are already on a VIllainRom) attached to this post

VillainThemes - Theming system
Earlier this year TeamVillain released a themeing system that had a fair bit of xda exposure at the time however recently it seems to have gone unnoticed. This system theoretically enables someone to build a theme that if packaged with our system will flash on any rom (on any device)
If you are looking to theme this rom then please give great consideration to using this system, it really is great!
